  • Everything you see in this video was legal and abides by FWC rules and regulations for sharks in Florida!
Every year swarms of Bull sharks congregate around the Florida Keys bridges! My buddy Chad from @Chadgonefishing called me up and told me this year they worse than ever and stealing all his fish! Bull Sharks are one of the shark species that you are allowed to harvest in the state of Florida. The FWC is Florida's wildlife organization that manages and regulates our shark species. According to their research Bull sharks have a healthy enough population in our state waters, that a licensed fisherman can harvest one bull shark per person per day! This is the third year in row I have have harvested a Bull shark for a Catch Clean Cook!

I love sharks but a lot of people don't understand that bulls are a great sustainable fish for anyone to eat. The fact that you guys rig all the right gear and harvest the meat properly is the best way to do it. Also doing it once a year is great! Proper fishermen. Great watch!

Only got to do it with hime twice as I am a West Coaster, but I taught him how to bass fish when we were teens. He passed 12 years ago diving for lobsters in FL. Great video, it warms my heart. I was wondering how the hell you were going to land one once you got one on the line. That is a full-on commitment walking it all the way to shore like that. It seems if the Bull Sharks are over running the river system/water way that badly, they need to be culled a bit? Anyways, very impressive stuff and credit to the chef at the end. He seems like a cool dude and I loved what he did with those shark steaks on the BBQ! Big thumbs up from South Australia!

Managed to pull up some red snapper before i couldnt handle the sea sickness anymore. Still love fishing just not on a boat haha.

Once in the backseat of a single engine aircraft while brother took his instrument flight rules test & once in a bay boat that we took outside the land cut to the second buoy and cut the motor and drifted back in 3 foot waves trolling ribbon fish for King Mackerel. We did that about three times before I was hugging the side of the boat at the waters edge looking at the people on the jetty with envy. It was Dramamine from then on. The only side effect for me was once you're back on land I still got the bounce. I know I'm standing on concrete but the earth just moved beneath my feet perception.

Shark is super common to eat in Australia. They are caught as bycatch in cray and crab pots as well as other commercial fishing modes and sold in take away restaurants. And lots of people fish them recreationally from jetties and beaches.

I love most of what you do, especially your catch and cooks, I dont agree with the taking of any large predator from the water however. Small ones taster better anyway and it Is less impactful to the Bull shark population. I also see people talking about the Florida shark population problem, implying that there are too many of them. I totally disagree with this, it is more likely that there is no place on this planet where shark populations are where they should be, let alone too many

Everyone read this first thoroughly before commenting: I don't mind people fishing legally within the limits Fish and Game, I honestly can care less, what I do mind is minimizing dedication of all wildlife officials in these videos, if it were not for them, you would not have this phenomenal video! From 19:00 to 20:40 to barely acknowledge these officers is far too little.
I would like every fisherman with this platform, to appreciate and interview what it takes for everyone to bring home they're prized catch from the frontline wildlife official's hard work. That's honestly the only thing I'm annoyed about......The shark fabrication, breakdown and culinary education was joy to watch, also the hard work to reel one in.
Congrats, and much love, hope, inspiration
