I would like to ask the owner of this channel to give Mr. Saddiq a message from me: You are in my top five favorite comedians. I'm 60 years old and I just found you. I feel a loss inside for all those years of your comedy that I've missed, but I'm going to start working on making up for lost time. 🙂
@@MissTeaq sorry it took so long to answer! My number one was George Carlin! The other four are, in no special order, Ali Saddiq, Christopher Titus, Richard Pryor, and Sinbad.
I have seen this 2 years ago, now his special came out, and Ali told the story about "quincy" (other lion). I love Ali's workshopping ability, so excellent.

I always loved comedy and studied the greats even when I didn't know I was a student. After the death of my youngest cousin, I realized it was time for me to live. One month ago I did my first open mic and cried afterwards. I've never felt so home; not even at home. Thank You ❣️
Probably my top interview to listen to and inspire me. I've been at it a year and every other day of every week I feel like giving up. But I keep going because I hear stuff like this and realize I'm on the right track. I just need more time to develop. Beware the naysayers.
You respect the craft... Ali the versatility you have puts you in a league of your own. You definitely know how to tell interestingly funny stories that captivate you like a campfire. I love how you used the jewels that others gave you and remind us to respect our elders wisdom, to not take them or ourselves for granted.💯
I really love this. It's different in women's prisons. I was a suburban homemaker but I still got a felony. County is one thing, upstate is another but in both I just loved telling stories and making people laugh. I'd love to at least try stand up, I've got stories up the ying yang, and I met someone in Philly by me who does it who'll help. This is so helpful as well. ❤
Lol. All of what Ali said is true. Being 5'7 and one of the poor kids growing up, you learn to be aggressive and funny, lowers your chances of getting chewed up. Source: me
This was very enlightening. As a Artist, that's doing music eye picked up a lot of game from true comics. Big shout out to your podcast. Sub accomplished 💯💪🏽
Thanks buddy! We're glad you found this content so helpful. That's our whole goal. Welcome to the Hot Breathiverse! We have even more interviews on our audio podcast.
We saw him live also and it was incredible. Comedy is a process and Ali does a great job of breaking it down here. Did you see our other interview with him?
I love love love the comedy. Very original name. The sincere, helper, slave of god, the champion. I like that. I know just a little Arabic. But Ali Siddiq would be a much more common and authentic name as far as Arab names are concerned. That was just an observation no offense and I’m not an expert on Arab names.
As much as i like ali sadiq this interview makes me look at him in a different light, i understand he takes comedy very seriously but man it aint that serious, let people take there shot...
Mr Siddiq, it was unfortunate that you were speaking to someone who didn't fully understand what you were saying. I've seen you talk many different places and you are amazing. But, the dude that hosts this show didn't understand your conversation.
I RESPECT THE CRAFT,I JUST BE TALKING TELLING WHAT HAPPENED TO ME AND SOMEONE WILL SAY YOU SHOULD BE A COMEDIAN,I DON'T HAVE JOKES I TELL STORIES REAL STORIES I'M THEATRICAL I TALK WITH MY HANDS I DON'T THINK I'M FUNNY OTHER PEOPLE DO, WELL SOMETIMES I MADE MESELF LAUGH,IF YOU SAYING SOMETHING TO ERK MY NERVE,I MIGHT SAY,YEAH JUST CUZ THE MONKEY CLIMB THE LIGHT POLE DON'T MEAN YOU GET CABLE FOR FREE
love your work man, but seriously, saying that shit about just because you used to work in whatever industry, doesnt mean you can be a comic telling funny stories about working in that industry...man, its literally your shit...'i used to be in prison, and heres a funny story...' fuck man, comedy is funny stories, if you funny and tell a good story, people laugh and youre successful....no need to be some kind of elitist just so you limit the completion in order to get more money... just be a better comedian, ffs... dudes bustin their asses out here doing regular jobs for shitty pay and youre gonna whine about some competition???

Just watched your new special I’ve been sleeping on it and I apologize. From NC, buying a ticket when ya back!
Listening to Mr. Siddiq speak from years prior and I'm beginning to hear other comics (e.g. Hart, Chapelle, etc.) lifting some of his phrasing.
