This guy is so wise! Everything he’s was saying about standup and comics not focusing on it and doing other things (Movies, sitcoms, music, travel shows) was so eye opening to me. Guys like Ail Siddiq, Nate Bargatze, big jay, Rory Scovel, rick velez, Mark normand. are prime examples of just focusing on your craft and staying in your lane (stand-up comedy) I recently went to a standup show and I was really excited to watch the headliners hour (not gonna say their name) I was in my seat next to a couple of friends and then Ricky velez came on stage to open the show. I absolutely love this guy... I've watched every stand up that I could find...since Def Comedy Jam... I love his ability to tell a story, and have it be relatable. He's seasoned, he's funny, he's intellectual, and he is very passionate about what he believes in. I can't wait to see you in February! I'm super excited...you are my favorite male comic... Blessings and unlimited opportunities to you my brother❤️
He is my favorite… I was just commenting how he has replaced Dave as my favorite. Since Dave left for so long his comedy has changed. I still like him but you could tell he got used to the good life. That’s fine, but the jokes don’t hit the same. Ali is great to listen to talk about anything.
What I like about Ali is that when he's telling a story, it doesn't seem funny to him. That brings a realness to the story and proves that he's authentic. He just has a way of delivering and just setting in it whether or not the listener thinks it's funny. THAT'S what makes him funny. Not surprised that hes not a rehearsal comedian. My guess is that that style wouldn't work for him. Ali is a great and unique comedian! I can't wait to see him live!
I love the fact that he knows what he deserves and shares his position with us who enjoy his comedy. He deserves all and much more. He is the funniest comedian I've watched and so smart with his comedy.
Ummm, after 16 years, w/Comedy Central on his resume and this/these special(s), you refer to him as a 'novice' ? Sorry, maybe I'm not familiar with the professional categories?
Ali your message on this podcast is super under appreciated. Only the real know fame is just a distraction from art. How can you replicate life if you aren’t living and too busy chasing a fantasy?
I'm clearly black and you my FAVORITE comic!!!! I just discovered you like a week ago and your comedy, interviews, and stories been keeping me alive......... literally
Man when Ali mentioned Jammerio, Dick Gregory and a few others made me realize just how long he's been in the game. Jammerio is another underrated comedian just like Ali and Sam Jay.
You are really another Dave Chappelle to me. I absolutely love listening to your comedy story telling. You can capture and hold my attention, and that says a loT, because not many people can. You tend to remind me of Dave Chappelle, and that’s a good thing. Maybe a more mature and intelligent crowd would appreciate you more, because you are certainly talented and awesome at what you do. You also have this relaxing voice. I love it and I love your comedy❤️
Ali, I have ALWAYS thought the world of you since the very first time I heard any of your comedy! But after this interview, I love you even more. You are honest and true to yourself and your craft. I loved how when he wasn’t understanding what you were saying, you set him straight saying, “Why can’t being an amazing stand up be enough!? I’m not JUST a standup! I AM a stand up comedian! Dude, you nailed that shit! That is EXACTLY right! Then at the end of the interview when you talked about the warm up guy, and how he is living his best life, working two WEEKDAYS a week, (maybe he wants to be home with his family on weekends) and he’s happy. He’s HAPPY. Man, THAT is success. That is fulfillment. Being happy, with who and what you are, and what you put out into this world. You are doing that man. More importantly, more than anything, your babies are watching you do that. You are setting an amazing example as to what true leadership and integrity is in this life. Man you killin it. Absolutely killin it. As a comedian, a father…a human being man. You absolutely inspire me. God how I wish you all the best! Much love and blessings to you and yours! ❤️👑💯🙌🏻

Ali I absolutely love your perspective on life. Thank you for the clarity you bring to any given conversation, and may your blessings continue unlimited .🤗🙏🏽💪🏽
THE 💎💎💎💎 my goodness! I love that his intensity is not personal…it’s about teaching and offering an opportunity to learn and hopefully apply to Self. WOAH!! This was great!
As much as I love Ali, I have to correct him when he said Richard Prior’s first movie was JoJo Dancer. He had roles in Lady sings the blues, The Mack, Uptown Saturday Night, Which way is up and Greased Lightning before JoJo Dancer.
Man, I love Ali’s comedy. Seen him live a couple times, watched tons of videos, seen the specials he’s put out, etc. But I find it so hard to listen to him in interviews for some reason. Dude’s hilarious, but there’s something about the way he interacts with people that’s just off-putting man. That being said, this was a great interview. It’s nice to hear someone essentially say, “just go up there and be yourself man, you’ll work it out. There’s no rules to this shit!”
I didn't know about you because I stopped watching Comedy Central more than 20 years ago when the fresh cussing ass kid dropped a turd and named it "CHEF." I grew up listening to Isaac Hayes (BLACK MOSES) since 1968, met him in the 80's, I don't care what happened, COMEDY CENTRAL should never disrespect any human being like that. Thanks for dropping SPECIALS on you tube. You are THE BEST PERIOD in my opinion.
I'm glad I watch your interviews and Stand Up SPECIALS repeatedly. I've seen this interview many times and I get it. DOMINO EFFECT, you portrayed the gay person mad because he always has to come to the park to cop. Then you talked about being in "THE CADILLAC," not noticing that those inmates were "light."
❤❤❤!!! Educate them youngins'! You provided solid advice for any career not only in stand up. You are absolutely on point with SO MUCH. Life is about living 4 sure. So many ppl don't have a clue how to be free and take ownership of their customized style in their aspirations. You are most definitely interesting and ON POINT. Keep rising and rock on, brother! Love following your path❤❤❤
I cant speak for others man but i am definitely a huge fan and im definitely black. One of the best comedians out here. Story telling is top notch punch lines on point and how humble he is. Its unmatched.
He speaks his truth, no need to write anything down he has so much trauma and retelling his stories are actually life events that lead to more reflection that's why you can feel him in his emotions that's life. His on his own lane, he has a valuable voice that can be that sound and reason to transform our at risk your to turn their lives around a cautionary testimony that makes him Gold he is not glamorizing any of the criminal lifestyle it has high risks and consequences and he has paid for it all in his lifetime all that is raw and insane and it has a place that is fictional in this society at all levels
#AllDay I appreciate your support. His first interview with us is linked in the description. There are over 140 other great interviews on our iTunes and Spotify pages too. We’re just now getting RUclips. 💯
It really surprised me to hear Ali talking about how he doesn't feel like he is seen as a "famous" comedian. He is literally, hands down one of my top few favorite comedians. Out of EVERYBODY. He's incredible. He is right, though, in the sense that he seems to be far too REAL to be some plastic Hollywood fame machine. It's all about perpspective, I suppose. If you see this, Ali, you are a damn BOSS and I not only admire you, but I have an immense amount of respect for you and I appreciate the work that you do. You have made me laugh when I am having the worst days and I didn't think I could smile let alone a laugh out loud belly laugh. I know there are TONS of people who feel the same way. Thank you for doing what you do and please do not ever stop! You deserve the best that this world has to offer.
I love Ali. He inspired me a long time ago. He will rise through the fakers tho. He is a real one and his followers are loyal. He might be too real. Like Eddie Griffin is funny af but he to real to get to famous. He won't bend to no one. I respect that.
Good information. Btw: Bill Cosby, and Dick Gregory used to sit also at shows or lectures. But definitely Ali is taking it to another level in these times.

Ali is such an *amazingly hilarious* comedian!
Thanks for doing/uploading this interview!
Thanks for listening! Here's a link to another interview I did with Ali before I had video. audioboom.com/posts/5548725-73-ali-siddiq-talks-starting-comedy-in-prison-social-media-beefs-storytelling-tips

THE 💎💎💎💎 my goodness! I love that his intensity is not personal…it’s about teaching and offering an opportunity to learn and hopefully apply to Self. WOAH!! This was great!
I love him he’s so funny and great skills in storytelling.
For sure one of the best!
This guy always has new material. He is funnier than all of the ‘ top’ comedians combined.
You should be on all those things cause you are funny as hell and a great storyteller
Pure TALENT !!
And Ali that's exactly why you would be in the top of the list bc you are so humble bro you are the the goat
Bruh I had a truck trainer wit his same energy when I ask him questions he would get so mad 🤣🤣🤣

As much as I love Ali, I have to correct him when he said Richard Prior’s first movie was JoJo Dancer. He had roles in Lady sings the blues, The Mack, Uptown Saturday Night, Which way is up and Greased Lightning before JoJo Dancer.
The greatest stand-up comic in the game in my humble opinion.
Great interview! In the beginning all I could think was, "Be grateful you are not cellmates!" LOL!
Love this guy!
A living legend! Have you heard our other interview with him? Subscribe and check it out.
Just found out about him a couple of years ago. Love His perspective and comedy.
Your so humble Siddiq…bless you!🙌🏾
Truth spoken and wisdom dispelled, if you are listening for it.
i really like this interview! #Salute
Thanks for listening! What did you enjoy most about the interview?
Ali is truly a storyteller. That is the best type of stand up artist.
I remember seeing him in person a year ago here in philly, right before everyone had to quarantine
The cut scences to Ali's reactions are hilarious. I love this interview. Real raw
Thanks James! We're glad you enjoyed the interview. Did you subscribe??

The Best Comedian I've seen in Person 😂😂😂😂😂
It got very intense. I really like the jewels. Break the fuckin rules

Ali is as true as they come, he means everything he says
I have tickets for one week from now. I can't wait.
3 minutes in and I just learned a valuable life lesson. Subbed!
Thanks Erick! Do you do comedy also?
I’ve been following Ali since 2000-2001 during the BET Comic View days.
Oh yeah he’s a legend for sure and has been funny for a LONG TIME. It’s exciting to see him getting the recognition he deserves.
I love Ali. He inspired me a long time ago. He will rise through the fakers tho. He is a real one and his followers are loyal. He might be too real. Like Eddie Griffin is funny af but he to real to get to famous. He won't bend to no one. I respect that.
All facts!
Thanks for sharing. Love ever second.
Thanks for watching! We've actually interviewed Ali twice. Subscribe and check it out.
Good information. Btw: Bill Cosby, and Dick Gregory used to sit also at shows or lectures. But definitely Ali is taking it to another level in these times.
