27:05 Fascinating hearing Nick put into words what makes Mark, Sam & the GOAT Attell so incredibly funny among other stand-ups He nails it with his insight into how they master & polish their jokes to really make punchlines hit harder
Yea I agree. This is like a golden age of comedy. You got the greats like attell and chapelle and Louis CK still getting on stage, with young guns coming up behind. So many great comedians right now.
New apartment, new town, moved-in last night Forgot how every little thing's would be different Grateful to tune into the familiarity and laughter of WMBD, so comforting 🧡❤
Hey, good luck. There will always be bumps in the road but every one of them make you stronger. Keep pushing on and I hope you stay happy and healthy. Good luck❤️
Nick's such a charming storytelle Eventhough seems his world and WMBD world don't exist in the same universe, he blends perfectly into an episode with the boys
Nick Offerman is from the same hometown as my mom, and I've gotten to meet his parents a handful of times throughout the years. They are, unsurprisingly, incredibly kind people. The first time I met them was when they were volunteering at the local church to work the kitchen to feed the attendees of the funeral I was at. I got the impression that they did this very often.
Dude one of the best small moment of the pod is when Mark makes the joke, better than the R Kelly center, and Nick just points at the camera. One of my favorite guests the boys have ever had on!
He really is one of, if not possibly the best comedian I've ever seen that can come up with brilliant one liners countless times off the top of his head without ever missing a beat all throughout every conversation I've ever seen him do, and improvising them on the spot when doing sets! He's so fucking quick, truly unrivaled by anybody currently in comedy right now.
@@Smiley-Coyote that’s kind of a stretch. They don’t all hit. He just always does them so even if half hit he is still getting laughs. He’s good, but wouldn’t say the BEST.

Nick’s episode of Last Of Us was easily one of the best. A side story that becomes important to the main characters, but also shows how INTENSE not just the main characters’ storylines/lives have been but EVERYONE’s in this “new zombie world”. I feel like I am not alone in saying that “I feel like if/when the zombie apocalypse comes I’ll be the Nick Offerman of it with my own fenced off neighbourhood and all the guns and everything! Except the “being gay” part” 🤣 “Not that there is anything wrong with that” “of course not”. 53:32
For real though, this episode has been such a breath of fresh air for me as I’ve been in the trenches of Twitter these last 7 days with the Israel Palestine conflict and listening to PBD, Shawn Ryan, and others talking about it non stop and come here and it’s just like “ahhhh. Take a load off and tell me some dick jokes boys”. COMEDY!- err, HUMOUR! 😅😂
Just watched Nick's episode of The Last of Us and was blown away. Offerman is such a great performer and seems like an equally great guy. Fantastic episode guys!
That was awesome--thanks!! Amazing and wonderful that N.O. remembers and credits by name all of the collaborators, writers, directors, etc. that he's worked with...
To everyone in the comments: I hope you have a wonderful day, week, year and so on. Follow your dreams and keep pushing along. It’s not easy but you bet your ass it’ll be worth it. Love you. Bye.
The show and Ron's character is the reason I tried/heard of Lagavulin. I remember the first bottle I bought I thought I made the worst $100 investment ever lol. A couple of tries later, and I was completely hooked. Love Lag and love scotch in general. Thank you Nick!
This ep was so good! I usually switch to music on my runs but I had to keep listening. Did 4 miles in 42:41 🎉 Nothing like a couple of sexy voices and Mark to get me through it 🙏🏼🏃🏻♀️
Nick can build the most beautiful handcrafted canoe just out of a pile of lumber. Offerman Woodshop is more like an art studio with sawdust than a wood shop.
Where in Europe could Mark possibly have been where a flight to Paris was an 8 hour travel day and required a layover in Reykjavik?! Hahaha. High speed trains all over the place, man! 😂
Great guest and fun to listen to. Just proves these guys are great podcasters. They can interview humorists talking about soil, comics talking about gigs….even 69ing Bobby Lee 😂 Always fun to listen to them
I went to the library and picked up the Tenth of December by George Saunders after that rec. Short stories are such a great way to knock out a few very enjoyable minutes without being chained to a 40-page chapter, where your OCD won't let you stop before the end. John Cheever, Raymond Carver, Flannery O'Connor, David Sedaris, Sam Lipsyte, etc.
This is a great get, Nick's a legend to me. I love Parks and Rec and pretty much everything he's in. What a nice, thoughtful guy too. I've never been scared of someone and so comforted by someone at the same time.

You could tell Nick wanted to crack up after Normand's "awwwww...I only like straight planes" line. Sam had a shit eating grin for a while after that as well. Great line.
Honestly, I think Marks 1950’s radio announcer voice allows him to get away with the fact he’s a true wild man. It’s the perfect camouflage.
