Nick Offerman is from the same hometown as my mom, and I've gotten to meet his parents a handful of times throughout the years. They are, unsurprisingly, incredibly kind people. Nick’s episode of Last Of Us was easily one of the best. A side story that becomes important to the main characters, but also shows how INTENSE not just the main characters’ storylines/lives have been but EVERYONE’s in this “new zombie world”. I feel like I am not alone in saying that “I feel like if/when the zombie apocalypse comes I’ll be the Nick Offerman of it with my own fenced off neighbourhood and all the guns and everything! Except the “being gay” part” 🤣 “Not that there is anything wrong with that” “of course not”. 53:32

Great guest and fun to listen to. Just proves these guys are great podcasters. They can interview humorists talking about soil, comics talking about gigs….even 69ing Bobby Lee 😂 Always fun to listen to them

I went to the library and picked up the Tenth of December by George Saunders after that rec. Short stories are such a great way to knock out a few very enjoyable minutes without being chained to a 40-page chapter, where your OCD won't let you stop before the end. John Cheever, Raymond Carver, Flannery O'Connor, David Sedaris, Sam Lipsyte, etc.

This is a great get, Nick's a legend to me. I love Parks and Rec and pretty much everything he's in. What a nice, thoughtful guy too. I've never been scared of someone and so comforted by someone at the same time.

Offerman is a great comic actor and has some good anecdotes, but when ever they have people who primarily are actors on, they don't have the funny quick hitting stories of any of the first rate comics that you guys have had on. The Allison Brie eppy I also thought wasn't one of the better ones, both needed another guest to reach the usual WMBD standard. There are plenty of comedians that get mentioned in Cellar interactions or have funny takes on things that haven't been on yet, hope to see some of them in the future.

Love the guys and especially the guest. There’s no such thing as inclement weather, and that phrase is why I have a 3 ton v8 today. Our guys can do sober, drankin, drunk. It’s always a good hang. Cheers to those who can handle their booze.

You could tell Nick wanted to crack up after Normand's "awwwww...I only like straight planes" line. Sam had a shit eating grin for a while after that as well. Great line.
