I just started watching this.... I expect nothing but prison stories for 2 hours
Going back through the archives this is priceless all these years later. I appreciate this therapy
Absolutely agree
Yes 🙌
I am really feeling Ali Siddiq! Grown man with grown man thoughts...😎
Facts & let's just be honest, a little sexy too 👀. Yeah, I'm that girl 😂.
ali was a non violent drug offender but was forced to live that violence for non violent offences it dont make sense #stopdrugwar
he went to a maximum security prison only for electrician classes he was originally in a low security prison
james clevenger point still stands. End the drug war.
do you mean the system that does this to people dioesn't make sense, or do you mean Ali's statement doesn't make sense.
For anyone thinking the latter:
The conversation about the prison stuff starts with him talking about that in order to survive in prison, a person has to become violent.. From everything I have heard, both from people who have been inside of higher security prisons, and the stuff I have seen and heard online, that seems to be true. That is how a person becomes enured to violence in prison if they weren't already on the way in. It has to be, or the person becomes a perpetual victim, which is way worse in that environment than on the outside.
As an aside, in a ghetto environment, this is more true as far as physical violence is concerned than in a financially wealthy environment. Also, if one expands their understanding of violence to include other types of victimization (financial, social, etc victimization, which are absolutely forms of violence), it is clear that this pattern of victimizing those who can't or won't fight back is incredibly common.
Welcome to Texas penal system, it is nasty and violent.
Yall need to watch the excellent tv mini series called 'The Night Of'.
ASAP!
19 when I went in and 22 when I went home and this prison talk is as real as it gets. You learn to be comfortable and you do end up having a lot of fun days.
I was between them ages too for my bid... Went in a boy n came home a man
"Mexican got on boots" - Ali Siddiq
“ I heard “
"Mexicans got on boots. CeeCee!"
😂😂😂😂
I just had a long day at working and the only thing that’s keeping me from blowing my head off is listening to Joey describe Julius Irving dunk
This my girl youtube but lemme tell you sum dog. These the realest mufukas you got around rn. You better off listening to this g. Don't stress nothing you got this g
Hope you're doing okay now..that was a great spot in the talk. The passion really filled them with so much appreciation for The Greats!

Ali tells a chilling tale around the 1:32:00 mark about nearly murdering a prison guard. And to a civilian who has never dealt with incarceration it may seem like he is a violent crazy individual. But to anyone who has dealt with incarceration, as decent a human being as they are going in, incarceration changes people. Mr.Joey and Mr.Ali have been through a truly horrific experience and have come out as performers who want to help people. Until you have been in this situation you would not understand the reaction these men have to certain things, but be happy they can provide comedy despite the terrible past they have had to deal with.
Facts,Prison turns you into an animal. 1st nigga talking out the side of his neck you hit that nigga with the mop bucket. Stab that nigga with a melted toothbrush in his eye. Let them know yo let me be and leave me alone. Or you going to have a bad time locked up.
Timothy Johnson I never understood the ending of that story, did another bunch of prisoners catch up to him and shout his name and then lock him in the room with Mitchell?
Basically he found out Mitch was working the gate at a different building he could get to by helping move something, but his two close friends found out he was gonna kill Mitch so caught up to him called his name and Mitch locked the gate to that building so Ali couldn't get in but he knew if Ali got in he would have died that day and Ali knew Mitch knew he was gonna die that day had his friends not caught up to him
His last one hour special from prison just came out this weekend on Comedy Central and it's just like all that n a bag-0-cheeba,!
Boy u ain’t never lied
This is an important episode for people to watch when Ali talks about the mindset u need when ur on the inside.
Ali and Joey giving Lee advice is so wholesome
Who's betta than you Joey!! Greatest podcast ever! Loved every second of this conversation, peace to you Ali, & Lee for killin it with this one & the last 300..
Ali Saddiq looks like Kevin Garnett and DMX had a love child. Great episode.
Jah Rastafari i was thinking he was the child of Mos Def and Dave Chappelle
Jah Rastafari I honestly thought it was Dave Chappelle in the thumbnail..
he reminds me of Curren$y
+Craig Diniz he does look like currensys cousin lol
Yes!
It felt like this podcast was just warming up when it ended. Great episode. Ali is a cool motherf****r.
Fuck you for the ****'s
I could listen to that cat talk for hours
This is one of the best interviews
Marvin Gaye, DR J, Moses Malone, and ,THE CHIEF,are the forgotten ones. Thanks for the memories.
Ali Siddiq my new favourite comedian!
Thanks for putting it down Joey. I listen to your podcast during work and it makes the day go by faster.
Anyone else here going back through the episodes after the Last Church service #817?
I've been doing that since I found out who Joey was lol, the search for more podcasts never ends!
These two need a comic special called from streets to jail to the stage......or the hardknock life comic tour
Yeahhh. Facts.
From the cage to the stage comedy tour
haha they come out in orange jumpsuits and shit
Ali Saddiq, Charlston White, Scarface and J Prince .
I'm from New York but respect those Texas dudes their real talk demeanor is a dying breed.
Charleston White and J Prince are clowns
Bro i love both of these guys…. How am I 6 years late to this conversation? I clicked immediately, fuck my meetings lol
"...you respond with savage force..."
One of my favorite guests I'm watching all episodes with Ali don't know who he is but I like him 😂
I started crying when that man said "BODYBUILDING CONTEST" 😂😂😂
That story about the bodybuilding contest was hilarious 🤣
who needs a bodyguard just bring ali and joey around
Ali Siddiq, great guy. From Texas? Even better! Great episode!
Anyone catch how Joey shouted out Mac Miller? During the shoutouts he mentioned Delusional Thomas (Mac), then repeated it too lol
If I didn't see your comment, I was gonna make one. RIP Mac
Bro these podcast episodes are so slept onnn. This combo is 🔥
ironic im listening to this now because pharell was just ordered to pay 7.4million to Marvin Gaye's family yesterday
Moses Malone died 2 months after this was recorded, R.I.P brutha your a legend to 6ers fans
I liked what Ali was saying about not letting anyone grt away with anything. People are like horses in that regard. You let a horse buck you once, and you don’t discipline it, it will try to throw you every time you get on.
That is the absolute truth about horses. People, the same way.
never let them get to the next place.
this dudes awesome...love this episode
I've been waiting for this episode for a long time...I was not disappointed!
Ali, keep representing H-town! RIP Sharpstown Mall
"Mexican got boots on", for the 300 episode. Nothing more interesting then prison life style. I couldnt ask for anything better to listen too. Keep them coming Joey Coco Diaz. LIKE A DOCTOR! FUCK IT!

Every time I see Joey, I feel like I’m watching a mob movie.
first time joey was second best with the stories.
You can tell he's very humbly living vicariously through Ali.
Ali is such a real dude.
That footage of Marvin and that baby boy, virtuoso, bass player is literally the visualization of the shite grown ass men mean when they are about to download some serious wisdom on your young arse. It’s “Lookie here…Lemme tell ya sumthin young buck”…. That clip was everything.! Just WOW! 💙💙💙
35:05....that string sound is from James Brown's "THE PAYBACK" album.
That sound was in between each song!!!
Lee makes some funny ass noises when he's gazilled to the gills haha!!!
1:52:20
Eeeghhahh......eghh!
To. The. Fucking. Gills!
Just found a clip of interview this morning now watching the whole shebangbang..
News just came, Darryl Dawkins a.k.a. chocolate thunder passed away. Its amazing how not that long ago Uncle Joey mentioned this great player during this podcast. May he rest in peace.

"I'm 52. My nuts are all over the fuckin' place. They're scrambled eggs."

+SpaceManDawn lol crazy, he just said this as I was reading your comment! :D
Naaa I was in my cell, and some1 said......ding! Ding! Lmfaooooo dead
that shit was SO FUNNY
Marvin Gaye is my favorite artist of all time. “Whats Going On” = best album of all time
When Music has Meaning and there was way more love In the world.
Songs from them could last 50yrs
Most songs from today have 6 week shelf life, and after that are forgotten
Or have no relevance
This is the best Ipod ever , thanks 😂
Watched this last night.... Apparently, as moses malone was passing away. RIP
his voice makes me want to watch mafia movies
chubbster3000 XD oddly Joey plays a mini boss in Mafia 3
Possibly the best church to date. Good shit
Just watched Alis new special...brilliant
This was a GREAT interview!
Why am I just now discovering Great Uncle Joey!!! Ali is amazing!!!! Poor Lee!!!
It doesn't matter if you're almost ready to get out, in prison all you have is your respect. You cannot let anyone take that from you !!!
19:14 Honestly a few nights ago, some guy came round about 8:45pm (it was dark out) pushing leaflets through
the front door, I open the door and watched him do couple neighbors houses then told him
"don't ever come round here at this time pushing roofing leaflets through our doors"
he said sorry. I felt savage but at the same time this is why I had to say something I don't want
to be the gut next to the toilet🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was in my cell and sombody said DING DING lmfao!!!!
Ali Siddiq needs to come back on again
i got so excited for this podcast!
Love Ali Siddiq dogg. Excellent choice for #300!
Ali is so Awesome
This is my favorite episode so far!
This shit dope 💯
"I'm on the air, you're on the ground!" 😂😂😂 @ 1:05:00 M.P.E.
1:02:25 in, the part about the nutter butters just killed me.
Michael Comeau right!
They had it down 2 a science!🤣
Joey Diaz you should do some audio compression to your videos during your post-processing phase to equalize the volume out. I wouldn't recommend it for music, but for a talkshow it really helps.
Phillip Sanchez agreed
Yeees
ali and Joey... awesome
44:30 look at this lee, lee look at this, lee watch this, look at this lee 😂😂😂😂
"He got hit in the head with a brick and all of the sudden he became a psychic"
HAHAHA I pissed myself a little.
Joey is the only person who makes cursing sound like an acceptable English language. He could cuss at an official White House dinner with no gasp in-between curse words.
😂😂😂
Ali Saddiq might be the most interesting person in the world
I'm IN THE AIR! YOU ON THE GROUND ITS ME!
Ali is fuckin awesome man, so happy to see this man Killin it on his comedy hustle
Yoooooo, free all the homies!..
Cool podcast brothaz.
Bless!
Great episode. Probably my favorite
One of the funniest church episodes ever
Marvin Gaye, is the best. Guaranteed panties dropping music. Nothing is better than listening to Marvin Gaye while getting busy with your man. Sizzling!!
You're hurting me in my heart muscle with the HOME Lakers jersey.
Right in the heart....
#ripcity
The part about getting sober and reminding people about who the fuck u are is so true. I was on heroin and let so.much shit slide just because I was blown out. When I got 6 months clean I was fighting everyone for everything and now 2 years later no one fucks with me period
Dope fiends don't deserve the disrespect they get, I live in Camden and the fiends out here get it bad. Real niggas treat them with respect cause that's revenue, but you can find the younger knuckleheads beating the shit out of them or clapping just before they nod out to fuck with them.
Seems like America's future is lost.
Joey Diaz is always Tremendous.
man I love CoCo and Ali too, but if Joey said "Rocking tha cradle....rocking tha cradle" one more time......I was about to slap myself....All I could picture was a young, dapper Joey Diaz watching that game at bar with his buddies and after that playing just walking around high fiving and yelling "Rockin' tha cradle!"
God bless cool uncles.
I'll be here for the 600th one!
Dam I miss these type of dudes. Joey Diaz is the realest dude. Now I have to try to man up more.
Marvin Gaye got on boots..
