  • I am joined this week by Houston Comic Superstar, Ali Siddiq and we discuss his mission to change the mindset of the Houston Comedic Fan Mindset.
He joins me this week to discuss why he never left Houston when he hit it big and of course, his next comedy special, filmed right here in Houston at the Improv.
We work through the mindset of comedy fans and of course comics on why they leave the city in an effort to make it big with many making no effort to support their hometown's talent.
Whiskey Neat is a Radio show on iTunes and ESPN 97.5 FM in Houston and is brought to you every week by the following sponsors.
    SAGAMORE
This week’s episode is brought to you by Sagamore Spirit Rye Whiskey. They are reviving the tradition of Maryland-style rye whiskey at their Baltimore farm and waterfront distillery. Each batch of their whiskey is hand-blended for consistency in aroma, flavor, and texture, creating a balanced flavor profile with notes of warm cinnamon, vanilla bean, honey, and spice. Find them online at Sagamore Spirit dot com or visit your local retailer to pick up a bottle. Please drink responsibly.
Whiskey Neat is brought to you in part by Legent Bourbon - a first-of-its-kind
super-premium bourbon that melds Kentucky distilling tradition with Japanese blending excellence. Legent is a perfectly balanced yet complex and layered whiskey with a bright, smooth, unexpectedly long finish. Order a bottle in your area via Drizly.com. Drink Smart.
Whiskey Neat is also supported by the Inspired Spirits at Glass Rev Imports
Folks, one of the best-imported whisky portfolios in the country is with Glass Rev Imports. GlassRev.com! Amrut, Waterford, Blackadder, Murray McDavid, Bimber and so many top-rated, unique whiskies. My friends at Glass Rev - Raj, Jane, and Bill, the original 3 Dram Hunters are inviting you to be fellow Dram Hunter. A group of folks passionate about finding great drams. Right now Dram Hunters have a chance to participate in a Murray McDavid RARE SERIES tasting. You get actual whiskies to taste through - a Macallan 18, a Bowmore 15, and a very very rare 36YO Bodach Aislig. They have also kept aside 18 bottles of the SOLD OUT Bimber Whisky exclusively for Dram Hunters. They give away hats, shirts, barware, and enjoyment. Join the Dram Hunters, at www.Glassrev.com/ click on the top bar. And please mention you heard about it from Kris at Whiskey Neat - they have set aside at least one Murray McDavid RARE tasting for those who mention Whisky Neat. go to GlassRev.com, GlassRev.com and be a Dram Hunter.
Our last Sponsor is THE official Sponsor of Whiskey Neat, Balcones- In 2008, Balcones was nothing more than an idea driven by a passion to create something original and authentic. Focusing on ingredients and process, they breathed new life into hundreds of years of distilling traditions, earning them worldwide recognition for their whiskies. You can pick up their whiskies at your local liquor store, or if you're a retailer, reach out to your Southern Glazers representative."
You can find the show on iTunes, Google Play, Stitcher, Podcast arena, IHeart Radio, Spotify, RUclips, and Facebook.
