I nearly choked when I saw the pricing for the latest exclusives like curly cats and this dinner party set, the new Marguerite cosmetic set too 😭 I thought I was going mad but on the UK website the Shiba Inus are £30 and the newly released French bulldogs are £45, essentially like-for-like in terms of number of figures, quite the price inflation across the whole range it seems!
I know right!!! I had the exact same reaction, why are the French bulldogs like $45 in the USA, and even in Japan the Marguerite rabbit cosmetic set is like $70? Why, how? it’s a nice figure but the pieces aren’t that unique. The curly ear cats were a bit more reasonable through KobeeJapan, but the dinner party was ridiculous (I justified it because $70 was a “deal” LOL - not a deal!!) And there are many more I will never get (Lauderee, Marguerite, Sanrio, etc), because even if I were a billionaire I wouldn’t think they were worth it! 😅
I love the sets you showed🥰! Unfortunately I like them all, without exception😅. I didn't buy the Curled ear cat but I don't think I'll resist much longer and I really think that Ihave to buy the garden tea party set, I love the table, the chairs and the accessories, and it's a good way to get Maisie Snow. The set up is so pretty, I love the combination of pink and green, it reminds me of the decor at Laduree stores. I liked seeing the older brothers all together, I didn't realize there were so many already.
Thank you! Yes there are a LOT of older brothers now, there used to only be the Cinnamon Rabbit (well, and the beaver older brother I guess!), it's exciting to see them all come out. I highly recommend the Garden Party, it is so lovely, even more stunning in person. I especially love the snow rabbit sister's dress, it's like a Disney Princess dress!
I love the Curly Ear Cat family so much that I actually displayed them with the Laudree set. I normally don't take my families out of the box- I display them in the box. I plan on eventually getting a set to display with the rest of the collection in the box.
Ahh the Lauderee set is gorgeous!! They’ve been putting out some super luxurious sets recently, maybe to balance out some of the plastic-y stuff; it really feels like they have diverging toy lines right now! And me too, I love the Curly Ear Cats, and their deep navy blue outfits are so beautiful. 😍

Such a nice set up! I have always loved pink and green - the celebration chocolate rabbit family dressed in pink and green are a favorite of mine. It’s so funny because I find myself repeating a word multiple times in my videos, too, and sometimes force myself to go back and change it, ha ha. Glad that you have treated yourself to some beautiful (23?, 24? - losing count) sets. But very annoying because I find the prices of these Japanese releases being put higher compared to even a year ago. Enjoy!

I get that it’s more detailed, it’s just a far cry from $20 for a new family like I’ve been used to for many years. And even the easy-to-get new families are now split into multiple sets, doubling the price to collect them all. Listen to me complaining as I go and buy them anyway! Hello and thank you for your kind words, I’m glad you enjoyed the videos! So the only way I got it to work with both free gifts is to add two items to the cart. It gave me the option to add just the baby with the first item, the second item kicked it over $50 and gave me the option for the pastry chef. Maybe you have to buy at least two things worth $50 or more? I wish the promotion was clear on the website. But you could try adding a second item, see if the gift pops up, and then delete the second item. See if that does the trick, and lmk! ❤️

I did email Epoch and they replied saying both items were out of stock, however the pastry chef option was still available earlier today and luckily I was able to snag that before it ran out! I was just wondering if I couldn't see the baby bell rabbit on my end only or if it really ran out of stock even with two items in the cart. I got it from Toybol_Japan on eBay USA, although they appear to be sold out of nearly everything. I got the reindeer cottage, Christmas costume babies, and “free” Christmas tree sheep for $160 (I know!!) and tacked the dinner party on last minute for $70 (no additional shipping!), which was a bargain. I think they were new sellers trying to ramp up or something, I happened to catch them at just the right time. Keep a sharp eye out, definitely keep “saved searches” of your wishlist items, and eBay will notify you of new listings as they pop up! 🤓
