Harry, I shaved my head on your channel when you were much earlier on and this is the wisest and vibiest you've ever been. I'm happy for you that you've come this far with your channel and yourself
It’s great to hear from you man. Thank you so much 🙏 This was an important day for me and it felt good to do this type of video and share some thoughts. Here’s to the future brother.
I'm not even balding and I love watching your vids for years because your content is always so uplifting and inspirational. Keep doing what you're doing man!
Mate I stressed about my thinning hair for years. Your channel inspired me to take the leap and shave it off. Two years on and my only regret is I didn't do it sooner! Thank you so much for your content, you really are changing men's lives with this community you've created and I hope the channel continues to thrive 🤙
You are a stand up guy man. You look badass with and without hair. I’m glad I discovered your channel 2 or 3 years ago. If it weren’t for you, I’d still be hiding underneath a hat. It feels amazing not caring what others think. Don’t waste time worrying about the small things, dudes.
The day of my 30th birthday I finished watching one of your videos and had the sense of urgency to shave it off. I stood in the mirror with the clippers up to my head contemplating life for at least a minute.. I started going back and just turned them on. The rest is history. Fresh off a head shave yesterday I finally feel as if my life is back. I did have to go through the shock and awe from others being bald with the occasional bald jokes but man I can go swimming again, I don’t worry about the wind, I don’t stop in halls to check my hair after coming inside to make sure the slightest wind didn’t expose me! The list goes on! I canceled my hair transplant because inevitably my hair will go at some point in my life. I don’t want to shave my head and have FUE scars. Please continue the life changing work brother. ❤
Your content was and still is really helpful for me in accepting getting bald in my late 20s. I’m in my early 30s now. And although I have come to accept and appreciate it the way look now, as it no longer gives me anxiety or ‘depression’, and won’t deny I would give anything to have my gorgeous, straight black hair back. I loved having a man-bun and tying little things to my hair (in my home country they are called 'yuyitos', think of the accessories hippies tend to wear) Congratulations on reaching this milestone. You totally deserve it ❤.
Definitely got the pirate/Shakespeare look going - really dig it! Honestly, the shaved look for me felt like I was still hiding my thinning hair. You're an inspiration to let it grow out and accept it. Just adds another look to the books🙏thanks brother
So glad you hit 200k, long may your success continue my friend! Would love to come back one day to show how this channel helped me 6 months / 1 year on! Your a legend x
congrats on your channels success, harry. buzzing my own hair when I started losing it was very trivial and easy for me but it's really wonderful to see how many other young men you are empowering to free themselves of their distress and worry
It was an amazing journey as a viewer too! When you stopped the haircuts I thought "how far is he gonna take it??", and you greatly succeded my expectations! I love that you always talk about what we lose when focusing on the balding thing. It is the main reason to do it, to keep living! PD: hyped for the shave video!
I & many men like me have let it consume my life by wearing hats and hoods up all the time it’s not good for my confidence but this channel has slowly built my confidence up to the point of where I’m gonna ditch the hats, ditch the hoodies and just be me, we need to stop giving a shit what people think about us and just be ourselves!
Man I couldn’t like this comment more and I can’t encourage you enough to start ditching those hats and get yourself out there brother! Bit by bit start living free!
I found your channel randomly a few months ago and used your tips to shave my head and take my baldness head on, finally… It was super helpful, and made the experience as easy as possible 🙌🏼 Thank you so much for the positive support and continued inspiration and information-love it! You are an inspiration! 🙏🏼
You have displayed bravery and self compassion on another level. I loved the bald man bun look. I kinda want to try it too. I live in Madagascar and alot of older french men here rock that look. I have a new appreciation for it.
Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents, but I love the travelling, and I think it meshes in beautifully into this channel. As inspiring and incredible as you are in helping your fellow brothers, it's so fun to see your day-to-day and vlogs. They're super fun, and honestly I think it's good for your bros to see you out and about on your journey that you encourage.
Okay, I’ve watched this channel a long time and I think your approach is the right one. Here’s my story….I was diagnosed a few years ago with body dysmorphic disorder (nothing to do with hair issues etc). I had BDD mainly in my 20’s and early 30’s…lived terribly insecure, didn’t go out, hid under a hat all the time…I wasn’t experiencing noticeable hair loss at this stage so it wasn’t that. I just wanted to hide full stop. Then something happened which was the equivalent of someone dropping a bomb on me…I started losing my hair. And for someone who already has a body image disorder, it was tough. In a way, it helped me a lot and forced me to adapt. I lost a lot of my prime years worrying about body image issues. Many who do not know me, or know I have had issues, have said I’m really handsome. I even had strangers say that to me. Nothing changes what’s in your head though. And compliments don’t last…it’s like I constantly needed reassurance. I would say I’m about 90 per cent better now and live a relatively normal life now. I think most of what men are thinking and pre-occupied about is being perceived as attractive by potential partners. We all want to be desirable. Losing hair feels like it challenges you. But really when you break it down…are all women dating the ideal man or whatever? No. Many women date what we would perceive to be average or below average looking men…and vice versa. But that’s our opinion. And not everyone finds the same things attractive. So….I guess it’s just about learning to be comfortable in your own skin and I think your approach is best. We all get older anyway so we have to face those insecurities.
Thanks for sharing man. There are many cross overs between BDD and what you might call preoccupation with balding. Especially when it comes to the thought patterns (mind reading, catastrophic thinking etc) also with ways to deal with it. What I’ve essentially done is exposure therapy.
@@Baldcafe yeah I know what you mean. Part of my therapy to overcome BDD was exposure therapy and the kind of approaches you use towards balding. I think that’s why you ultimately have a healthier outlook and can share your knowledge from what you learnt. Ironically, I don’t watch this channel due to worry about this subject of balding. In fact, having a shaved head ended up kind of suiting me well. It was kind of traumatic at the time though as I was dealing with bdd aswell. But I am interested in other people come to terms with it. Thanks for the work you’ve done 👍
"Dish Pig" never heard this term in the USA. However i love that term🤣🤣 Ive done that job also..many many moons ago! Proud to say i been here since 10k subs Harry! Love all the content mate...your crushing it!💪
Thank you for answering my question regarding medical therapy mate. It has certainly given me something to think about. I shaved my head and rocked it for a while but then slipped back into growing it out and now I'm in that awkward stage where I'm thinking should I try and save it. You do amazing work and thank you for normalising what is a natural process for a lot of men. Good luck with the channel and I'll continue to follow. Traveling videos would be amazing you have the personality to smash them and make them worth watching 👍🏻
Thanks Harry your videos done alot for me certainly when I braved the shave😂I was about 23/24 and now at 27 being honest I wouldn't have hair back I love the shaved head. When you touched on it makes you realize who you are, it really does and others who have saw me bald sometimes i see that they are still in that bubble of perfection, I was exactly the same when I had hair. The inflated ego I can also relate to, at the same time getting compliments I knew I was styling my hair so you couldn't see the baldness which made me think that these compliments aren't real. That's why I never thought twice about a hair transplant, maybe I would have if your videos didn't give me the confidence to own it. It does make me proud that I jumped that hurdle early and weirdly the shaved head has made me a much stronger person I think and for that I owe a lot of it to your channel. Cheers man keep up the inspiration👍
Harry its so nice to hear all your arguments and advice. you helped me and so many other dudes with their hair loss and to overcome it. from the bottom of my heart Thank you! Much love❤
All the guys on these videos look great with shaved heads. I started receding in my early 40's and starting derma rolling, because I thought I had nothing to lose. Anyway 6 months later I'm back with a full head of hair. Maybe I was lucky or did it early enough to save it, but it's an option. Painful as f*ck but worth it. But if it doesn't work, you fella's all look amazing shaved, and are an inspiration to insecure guys like me.
Definitely like that you're taking a broad approach - beyond accepting the balding. Can't wait to see the TV show 🤪And very interested to see where you're gonna take this channel! (But definitely take it to Japan 😎)
Honestly man you’ve taken the barber shop world tour to another level. I’m very inspired. I think I just need to invest and go for it. Enjoy the ride. Show a bit of travel, a bit of barbershop and get stoic as always. I’m keen for a little Krakow collab 😉
I wasn't particulary balding but I did have a rather big widow's peak that kept me from having a proper haircut that would be working and it stressed me out so much A week ago I shaved it all down and I believe watching your videos kinda motivated me to do it and I'm super satisfied with how I look. It's beyond from what I could have imagined before So thanks from germany man
One of the best channels. Specially when we are bombarded with social pressure and stereotypes of beauty. It helps a lot to know so many are on the same path, facing the struggles and fears. Whichever look, I think you look great and are an inspiration for many! I don’t know if I missed a video where you already talked about it but did you ever tried treatment with dutasteride and other commonly prescribed medications? (Whether injected directly in the scalp or as pills ) like many I have alopecia but don’t like the idea of being medicated for years or possible side effects.
I actually dig the long hair. So sad to see that you might be shaving it off. Your look actually inspired me to grow my balding hair out as well. Thanks for the encouragement!
This channel is pretty cool. I starting shaving my head like 7 years ago and wish I would had starting doing it sooner. I used to have long hair all through my school years but usually still wore a hat most of the time. I was just always more comfortable wearing a hat. Into my 20's I had cut my hair short and revealed how bald I was actually going underneath all the hair I had. So then I would literally only go places I could wear a hat because I would hide my balding under the hat. After I realized I should just shave what I had left off, it really was like a huge relief. It still is. Its even addicting. I shave my head every morning. And watching these videos just makes me want to run a trimmer over it right now lol. I still wear a hat everyday, but not as a way to hide my head. Its just a habit and sort of just a way life. But I am not ashamed to take my hat off at any time. I really think a shaved head looks good and masculine on guys. I really think its a tougher more refined looked I guess. And its freakin hassle free other than shaving but thats super easy and only takes a couple minutes for many multiple hours of worry free bad hair. I love the low maintenance. I grow out my facial hair until I feel its too bothersome to keep strait without too much brushing or gel. Then I just cut it back and let it grow back again.
Enjoyed your video mate. I picked up the leaf and thorn razors earlier this year and am fully amazed at the product. I had a hard debate on buying them even after your recommendation, but it's worth it. Thanks Harry for the info and encouraging vidz.
I've been watching this channel for 2 years - and I absolutely love the content. I've been struggling with thinning hair for years and in the past few years I've tried shaving bald several times (kept it that way for months at a time). Each time I grow it back. I will say this: while this channel is great and shows great success stories - there are also plenty of stories like mine. I just can't get use to shaving my head - I think it looks horrible. I don't get that "glow up" feeling from shaving my head. I'd almost rather just rock the "thinning look" just my 2 cents I still love watching the videos.
As a 27 year old who hasn’t lost his hair yet but I believe I will (every dude in my family is losing it) I’ve decided SMP will be my gameplan when the day finally comes. Not that I want people to think I still have my hair but just because I like the look of a buzzed head shadow. Love your videos man, they made me not afraid of the future whether I get to keep my hair or not
Same I'm 27 and no Norwood loss so far, but I will do SMP also if shtf with my hair. My dad went bald in his late 20's and I'm surprised I'm not bald yet. Maybe it's because I got out of the military at 4 years, while he stayed in for 20 years.
@@alaskanwhiskey It´ just a complete lottery. My dad has perfect hair. Grandpa´s had perfect hairline till their deaths. I started balding at 19... my brother aswell
I think you should try to develop your side channel, your china vlogs are ton of fun to watch, your walk in the closed park was so entertaining. you could be like the new bald and bankrup for china if done right
Yeah I do really enjoy those to be fair. The real goal would be to have some kind of combo but I think this channel is too string in the niche for that now. How about if I also went to other places on the side channel too? I wouldn't want the same issue if I were to build that channel but then be stuck with only. making China vids.... happy to hear your thoughts
@@Baldcafe Im sure more viewers would enjoy it if you went to other places too. I think that would grand you more succes in the long run. As for me, im learning mandarin and im fascinated about the language, and culture. I find your laowai experiences entertaining as hell lol
Before i start loosing my hair at 17, i've had a lot of opportunity with womens. But now i realised that the best thing i can do with my bald head at 24, is just accepting that. In some sens it's like a blessing because it's force me to become à better person. I'm not an handsome guy anymore But i tend to invest on myself to create other values. Good luck all, this challenge is worth it by the end of the day.
Awesome video Harry! I love the long hair look you have atm but I think the beard is carrying a lot of the weight 😅 the combination is just great! I can’t really grow such an amazing beard and at nearly 50 I doubt it will get any better but I do rock an awesome moustache and some stubble 😂 at first I thought it was a bit goofy with my shaved head but as you said it’s not really about how you look in other people’s eyes but how you look and feel to yourself and I honestly look and feel so much more confident without my hair than I ever did with it. I think shaved head is the way for me but who knows maybe I will grow it out some time and if it looks half as good on me as it does on you I’d be happy 😃
Great Q&A, didn't know you used to work lots of jobs in 1:40, 8:30 I'll try to remember that. 18:30 is great. Fortunately I've never had a severe hair loss, but I had a harder time in academics and learning. Haven't seen you buzz your hair yet, hahaha
One of the best things I inadvertently did in middle school was shave my head/buzz cut because I admired military men like rangers, seals, green baraets etc... It makes the transition easier when at least you have had it very short once. Andrew Tate said his father had him shave his head as a young boy and emphasized that men are judged on their achivements and compotency rather than 2mm of hair. This mindset has helped me adapt along with dressing better.
I just wanted to say congrats on your journey and for being an inspiration to all of us mate!! Also I feel like you and I could be twins just saying lol
First of all, thank you for yor motivation during all these years. Unfortunately, take the risk of being balding it’s just a half of problem. For example, I have big ears, long neck and not a thick beard. So, when I’m bald it’s no cool. I feel myself uncomfortable. Hat solves this problem, but I hate it, it’s like a shackles on the head. I mean, sometimes decision to shave is not a panacea.
Whats up bro, I dig the hair. One thing I suggest is keeping it. Just clean it up, and slick back the sides and shave the top. It seems like you purposely keep it not tamed, which is cool too. Before you shave it. Try it.
You’re brilliantly entertaining mate. I’ve had SMP from scalp Perfect and ❤ it & tell everyone. It’s been life changing. I’m a professional singer songwriter 🎶and have done all the awful terrible jobs too 👍
I just wanted to add my two cents and my honest opinion when your hair is long and pulled back into a bun with the beard groomed I think that’s a perfectly acceptable look tbh. Nothing silly at all about it looks masculine asf and not hiding anything I think as dudes losing our hair I wanted to say that “clinging onto it” isn’t always the worst choice I think this shows you can grow it out if you want to so long as you’re confident and having fun nothing really matters tbh
Holy smack I've been doing 0.5 microneedling for one month everyday with coffee mask nightly and my hairs are pumping out! Also in the process of growing my hair long
Regarding shiny crown - I recommend using an anti shine cream as your daily morning routine. Takes that shine away and feels good. Thanks for an interesting video.
I prefer shaved, my hairline doesn't exist anymore so rather then do a comb over I will just keep it shaved but grow it out during winter, luckily I have a full head of hair despite my non existent hairline.

Too long lol
@@soupbellyschayi1676 that's what she said!
I'd almost rather just rock the "thinning look"
just my 2 cents
I still love watching the videos.
Post shave clarity - Brilliant! 😂💡👏🏽
Best bald dude content on yt
Love ya harry
shaved mine 25 years ago, never looked back!!
Exactly, it forces you to become less vain, which is a win in the long run.
8:29 Corey wayne! never knew you followed that guy!?. I have his book aswell watching his newsletters, etc.
I think shaved head is the way for me but who knows maybe I will grow it out some time and if it looks half as good on me as it does on you I’d be happy 😃
congrats on 200k
Great Q&A, didn't know you used to work lots of jobs in 1:40, 8:30 I'll try to remember that. 18:30 is great. Fortunately I've never had a severe hair loss, but I had a harder time in academics and learning. Haven't seen you buzz your hair yet, hahaha
Fantastic video Harry. Well done.
This is a great video! I mean really. I got a lot from it. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Love this channel so much
Thank you for all your effort.
My pleasure!
You look good with a cap/hat. It also looks good when pulled back. Its ballsy for a balding male to have longer hair I respect it.
Thank you for helping us balding men out 😊
Your channel message is more about building your self esteem. Without self esteem nothiing works.
First time I’ve heard the term “dish pig.” I would love to see that on a resume. Oh what you do for last 5 years. Oh I’ve been a dish pig…
😂 slaving away in the hot kitchen getting pans and plates thrown at you. In the greasy sink scrubbing away. I feel it’s the perfect job title 😆
Hey Harry, love the channel. Where did you grow up? Your accent sounds West Country, I’m going for Swindon? 🤔
Born in Southampton but yes, my family born in Plymouth and Cornwall I lived in Plymouth to study and for early adult years. Good spot 👍
Awesome video man! As always :)
You look great woth both bro, keep up the content
One of the best things I inadvertently did in middle school was shave my head/buzz cut because I admired military men like rangers, seals, green baraets etc...
It makes the transition easier when at least you have had it very short once. Andrew Tate said his father had him shave his head as a young boy and emphasized that men are judged on their achivements and compotency rather than 2mm of hair. This mindset has helped me adapt along with dressing better.
I’m 50 and finally shaved my head after 3 yrs of buzzing it.
Curious as to why? I go between shave and buzz and can’t make up my mind
It's crazy how you look good with any hair or beard style lol
I just wanted to say congrats on your journey and for being an inspiration to all of us mate!! Also I feel like you and I could be twins just saying lol
Gotta rock a balding ponytail so you can look like an 80s action movie villain! Thanks for all the great content! 🍻
Bro ur beard is awesome
First of all, thank you for yor motivation during all these years.
Unfortunately, take the risk of being balding it’s just a half of problem. For example, I have big ears, long neck and not a thick beard. So, when I’m bald it’s no cool. I feel myself uncomfortable. Hat solves this problem, but I hate it, it’s like a shackles on the head.
I mean, sometimes decision to shave is not a panacea.
Dont shave ur head and find a fitting haircut bro
Whats up bro, I dig the hair. One thing
I suggest is keeping it. Just clean it up, and slick back the sides and shave the top. It seems like you purposely keep it not tamed, which is cool too. Before you shave it. Try it.
So u want him to look like hulk hogan?lol
I'm excited for the next video
King Leonidas of bald men is coming back! 👑
Harry are you still living in China or are you back in the UK now?
Im balder than and i don't shave my, i really don't understand why someone would shave their head
You’re brilliantly entertaining mate. I’ve had SMP from scalp Perfect and ❤ it & tell everyone. It’s been life changing. I’m a professional singer songwriter 🎶and have done all the awful terrible jobs too 👍
Nice video !
Did you ever do the big 5 oder mbti-16 Personality test?
Would be interesting to hear the results. Have a good one!
I have not. What would you guess my result would be?
The 16 Personality Test is cost free. You can check your results there.
I guess you are an ENFJ/ENFP/INFP type.
Going to be an emotional head shave. Been interesting following this journey 👍
Thanks!
Wow brother. You are the first ever to super thanks. I’m honored. Thank you so much! 🤝
I can see the Skullet coming along well.
Love The Videos
I just wanted to add my two cents and my honest opinion when your hair is long and pulled back into a bun with the beard groomed I think that’s a perfectly acceptable look tbh. Nothing silly at all about it looks masculine asf and not hiding anything
I think as dudes losing our hair I wanted to say that “clinging onto it” isn’t always the worst choice I think this shows you can grow it out if you want to so long as you’re confident and having fun nothing really matters tbh
I'm balding as well but im definitely going to embrace it for sure.
When will the shaving video be uploaded? Love the videos btw
Great video🎉
I don't know if anyone else has asked but when is the baldcafe head butter coming back in stock?
Holy smack I've been doing 0.5 microneedling for one month everyday with coffee mask nightly and my hairs are pumping out! Also in the process of growing my hair long
Amazing video and channel 🙏 ❤️
This is amazing. This guy has successfully managed to fully delude himself.
Stay salty
In what way exactlyy?
Regarding shiny crown - I recommend using an anti shine cream as your daily morning routine. Takes that shine away and feels good.
Thanks for an interesting video.
I prefer shaved, my hairline doesn't exist anymore so rather then do a comb over I will just keep it shaved but grow it out during winter, luckily I have a full head of hair despite my non existent hairline.
I shaved all my hair today, let see the reaction on the next days.
Get out there and start living brother 👍
I like the look 😀just now Ive the impression that everyone is looking on me@@Baldcafe
Regardless, I think you look cool either way! I love the way you embrace any look and make it work. Which is the most manly think one can do!
