Some sceptics are saying it looks too small and goochie for combat operations. They are forgetting this beast is a prototype - which when fully equipped will have all gadgets required depending on customer requirements. It's quite agile and will take troops in and out of a hostile environment with ease.Low noise levels and equipped with latest radar and GPS equipment .Also bearing in mind that it has a 16/19 seat configuration when fully laden.Good piece of military hardware this
Such an AWESOME Helicopter!! I'd love to see one in person!! I'm a Helicopter Mechanic and I'd love to get my hands on one!! Keep up the GREAT work!! 👍👍
Well, if you're in the Miami, Fl area, you can request a tour of Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Air Rescue North or South. We are deploying these aircraft to replace the aging Bell 412s we're presently using.
They are both built by the same company. There are things for which smaller is better. It's like saying that a Land Rover is not good for military use because it's smaller than a big truck, 2 different things with 2 different roles. Same thing for ships.
@@123Andersonev I was referring as much to the ruggedness as well as the overall size. Yes I do know that Merlin or EHI01 was a joint company 50/50 Westland and Augusta which eventually became AW then Leonardo!!!
@@pdarley58 the AW-139 which this is based on has been used all over the world in multiple variants from SAR to VIP transport and I’m pretty sure it’s used by some military’s

Very impressive helicopter!
Beautiful aircraft
Very nice… After 205, 212, 412 and 139 this like flying saloon. Again very nice and high tech chopper.. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻☘️🙏🏻🙏🏻
Seems great for off shore ops, for the battlefield? Might be time and a good point to look ahead to future lift technologies
The windscreen sweeper is rediculously small. Might even do without 😒
I think they should add it bigger, to sweep more of the window.
Molto bello, Bravo Leonardo.
What a Beauty... 🖤🤗
I would bet that this is what the UK Military will get to replace the Puma
I sense LYNX DNA here ?? beautiful heli .
Wow! Is that cabin bigger than a blackhawk?
I work for Leonardo in America. Can I get a discount on one?
I have Amazon Prime.
Top italian engineering 🇮🇹🫶🇬🇧
👍🏻
See America have just offered the Blackhawk helicopter
The voice is not clear what he explain about AW149...too far, should use a wireless microphone
This does not look like it’s built for military use. Bloody small as well. Go compare this with the Commando Merlin mk4
completely different requirement sets.
