    These lessons are great for someone like me, who can't get out anymore and started playing guitar to keep my sanity. I got so far on my own but your channel has helped me so much.     This is a great lesson. Taking chords in a progression, to triads and arpeggios is what every players needs. Well done. Then you get to understand common notes and key phases.

    I’ve been taking weekly lessons for over a year now… I try to augment my lessons with RUclips channels, such as yours. I can’t say enough about this video - it was a huge help and gave me a little insight on what I need to focus on. Weekly 1 on 1 instruction, I can’t say enough about it vs only online tutorials. Some folks can do without face to face, while others need to have interaction - that’s me. Regardless of one’s learning preference, its a journey and gaining more insight is essential, and your videos have helped me tremendously. Mad kudos to you! 🎉

      Don't know why more instructional videos don't teach intervals & theory. It's always first finger 3rd fret 2nd string kind of talk.

    This a perfect lesson for me
    I have a thirst for understanding why things are played the way they are and how they relate to each other

    Thanks so much. This lesson crystalizes a bunch of stuff for me! I can apply these principles to one of my favorite things, rhythm playing like the greats I (musically) grew up on. Paul Jackson Jr, Dan Huff, Dean Parks, Lukather et al - all those guys who created simple yet amazing parts in hit songs. I hear them all, arpeggios, triads and licks built I imagine just like this.

    This is one of the things that I have been missing. I understand all the arpeggio(s), terminology, inversions, etc...taught myself all that stuff with various books and music dictionary etc... I also made some major jumps lately.....but this is gonna explode some things for me because I have a lot of ideas and lyrics that I need to put music too....this will definitely help me!
    I'll keep our an eye for your videos now!
    My first music teacher (6th grade) helped me to stop stuttering with the guitar lessons.
    I am 60 now and still learning.....it's a love/hate relationship with the guitar.😊l😂

    I really enoyed this lesson. It has opened my eyes clearly to everything I sort of knew theory wise (i.e. triad / chord inversions) but now easily translated to the guitar. Just playing around with these concepts with confidence now you are correct when you say "you are more musical than you think". Thank you for this brilliant lesson!

    This is a way better direction than chasing Triads up.and down the neck ...I have need going crazy trying to put them together ...This is by far the best I've seen...I'm shooting for A & C next..

    Just on the naming/numbering of the inversions, to summarize what you said: the triad is made up of the 1-3-5 notes of the scale, and you don't call it an inversion if the lowest note is the root. So the first inversion is the one that "starts" with the 3rd (3-5-1), and the second is the one that starts with the 5th (5-1-3). Do I have that right?

    14:48 The melody you played for this example may involve Triads, but this is a better example of the use of arpeggios!

    Great stuff…truly an eye opener…and on the 12th minute when you say ‘now we are done with the boring stuff’ I’m like nothing boring about the last 12 minutes at all 😂 never realized what the actual inversions on the guitar were…great stuff!

    Eddie is outstanding Guitarist and Guitar Teacher! I’ve been really focusing on triads myself, I know the caged system with the help of Eddie and Charlie Wallace at Guitar mastery method.
    Triads really give the ability to accompany others, without stepping on the other musicians playing! , while at the same time using the triads to really add feel.. helps Emphasize chord tones!

    Also like to add violin strings start low G D A E tuned in fifths. Lol. Guitar tuned in 4ths E A D G just reverse. Lol that's how I learned that playing intervals on guitar example the perfect 4th is same as inverted 5th on guitar.
