Pretty amazing performance from Gram and his talented bandmates. Especially when you realize they are all only 17-18 yrs old at the time. Gram's voice already had that quality we hear in later years.

How did Graham always make great musical choices? Uncanny.

What a voice. Will never understand why he never make the bigs either with the Shiloh's, the Like, ISB, Bryds, FBB Fallen Angels, solo.....? He had it!

The Shilos were really quite a good folk group who almost got their break in New York City, but it didn't quite work out, and Gram went on to his next phase, a new take on country music.

Interestingly, Gram & The Shilos hailed from Greenville, SC when they played as the Shilos....and cut some of their demo records in the music lab of Bob Jones University (God bless the "Grievous Angel")

I just found this out last night! I’m from Greenville, and my dad went to BJU. I knew Gram had some connection to the city, but wasn’t sure what exactly it was. Very fascinating!

Any clue on if Gram lived in Greenville during that time? I’d assume he lived there to some extent, but it seems like he was pretty transient during those 63-65 years

Wonder how he slipped by the music police at BJU?

@@StephenHardy8791 Gram was attending Bolles School in Jacksonville during those years, but the Shilos were a professional group who probably played at different venues throughout the area.

Great, old-school folk performance from the Seegar school ...
