After a long wait, it’s finally finished!! This Multi Animator Project was originally planned to come out before Mapleshade’s Vengance was released, so the events leading up to (and including) Mapleshade’s death are not canon and should be treated as metaphorical more than anything. ☺Desperately trying to reunite herself with her kits in Starclan, I tried to imply that Mapleshade was sent to the dark forest for giving up on life, and only then did darkness consume her.
I wrote the script after being inspired by the series’ first female villain; I hadn’t read Crookedstar’s Promise at the time of writing the script so that’s why Crookedstar doesn’t factor into it; in hindsight I should have included him but I didn’t feel comfortable representing a book I hadn’t read. I took inspiration from Mapleshade’s page in Warriors: The Ultimate Guide and her appearances in Omen of the Stars.
The song is Marshal Dear by the Savages! I’m so unbelievably happy with how this turned out; everyone really gave it their all and put so much effort and feeling into their parts. I’m endlessly grateful for everyone’s hard work. Enjoy!
