HIDE | Complete Nightcloud MAP

- ITS BEEN 1000 YEARS. BUT HIDE HAS FINALLY BEEN COMPLETED.
It was a rough journey but for the first MAP I have hosted, i couldn't ask for better. I was blessed with all of the amazing animators who wanted to take part and the finished parts were all wonderful. I feel that Hide has been a huge success and hopefully, you all will too.
This MAP's goal was to paint Nightcloud in a more human (though still flawed) light and I feel that goal has been achieved. It tells Nightcloud's story and shows her turmoil. Nightcloud was not a nice cat. But the point I am trying to make with this MAP is that she wasn't 'evil'. She was flawed. Like any real person is.
Thank you to everyone who helped in the creation of this MAP and thank you to all of you who waited so patiently for its completion.

I actually really like Nightcloud, despite most of the fandom hating her it seems. In fact, this fandom seems to hate any character that's got some flaws. I mean, wouldn't you be pretty pissed at someone who used you? I mean, that's exactly what Crowfeather did. He used her.
I can see how that would be true, but if that was really all she cared about, wouldn't have she been totally indifferent to Crowfeather barely acknowledging her kit, or shouldn't she have not cared when Crowfeather ever ran into Leafpool? But both of those things did bother her.
Now, I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm just posing a legit question.
If it was a good question, Fuzzy, please answer it.

She got so pissed because she expected Crowfeather to atleast pretend to like his offspring. She was mad because he wasn't doing a very good job showing his "loyalty". She actually was never mad when he runs into Leafpool because Crowfeather was rather resentful towards her. She was just more mad that he didn't really defend Breezepelt.
Oh my god LOOK ITS HERE!! I really liked the darkness in this and the overall feel - it's super cool and everyone's parts were sooo pretty. Thank you so much for putting this together ;v;

Late ass reply, but I think the reason they're mostly girls is that the fandom is mostly dominated by girls. To elaborate on "girls" a bit further, I mean young, obsessive, girls. This type of girl is quick to jump on other girls due to jealousy, or some other unknown reason.

Yes, that is an issue a lot of people have been having. The MAP didnt have set designs, which it should have in hindsight, but its a bit too late now. ^^; It was my first time hosting after all

So this explains Nightcloud perfectly. Her own mate didn't love her, her son turned evil, she was left alone. Of course she'd be pissed off. It really justifies her actions as a mate and a mother. No one's perfect, but at least she was there for her son.
I don't think Crowfeather could actually love again, he did care for her though. Also as Rock said in the Ultimate Guide, her possessive nature is probably made it hard for anyone to love or feel bad for her. If she was there for her son, he wouldn't have gone to the DF. From my POV it's more like she used Breeze as a teamate. Ex- Crowfeather says that she told Breeze that he didn't love him, and turned him against him. So yeah don't know if she really loved Crow or Breeze like talked about...
good point... im tryna not to get too in depth mainly cause they're fictional cats, but I kind of agree with you on part of it

***** Great point, that's what I'm always saying! People always say poor Nightcloud, Crowfeather was using her. But in reality they used each other, glad someone understands.
Nightcloud stays with Crowfeather strictly for materialistic reasons. It was always about ownership/security, never love. She wanted a mate that loved her, a kit to adore, and a average stable life like her Clannmates but instead got a mate that always loved someone else, fathered Half-Clan kits, and neglected their son that then turned evil. She had this perfect fantasy of how she wanted things to be that reality ruined and she became bitter. A lot like Crowfeather himself actually. In a weird way, they're perfect for each other.

2:24 is by far my favorite part with Nightcloud whispering to Breezepelt about Crowfeather. It just looks so smooth and the way the lips move under the music like you’re watching them from afar and can’t hear what they’re saying.

This is absolutely incredible. Honestly, I've seen a lot of warriors maps but this has an individual atmosphere about it. Everyone did a fantastic job. I like seeing it from Nightcloud's point of view, rather than Crowfeather's. Amazing

This is amazing! Despite most everyone hating Nightcloud she is one of my favorite characters! I think that characters like Nightcloud remind me why I love Warriors.

I just want to say that this is visually stunning, and just... I can't get over the impact and emotion of the parts, especially Nightcloud's tears hitting Breezepelt, and her whispering to him
Whoever matched up the transition at 3:00 - it looks amazing!
This map is absolutely stunning I love how this turned out !! I like how the color scheme is kinda darkish troughout the map it really gives this a special kind of feeling i cant explain < 3 so pretty !
I get what CrowFeather did to NightCloud was pretty low, but I still don't hate him. For NightCloud, she was flawed like most cats but very unique in her way. Breezepelt didn't have a very good relationship with his dad but even other cats that had similar past, of course I feel symphony for that but he enjoyed killing other cats which is quite sad. For Leafpool, I just love her even after all of this happened.
All these cats, they're all unique and different. All their mistakes, their choices and their history. Reflects on what they've been through.

I wish people treated CROWFEATHER better. I dislike NightCloud alot because of the way people treat her as an angel. This is a well done map but i do not understand why Breezepelt and NightCloud are "angels who did nothing wrong" now Crowfeather is NOT justified for being like this but think about his life, its not fair to treat BreezePelt and NightCloud like angels and not like FLAWED characters this familt is FLAWED not evil or "misunderstood"
Think about Nightcloud and Breezepelt's life for a second, and get back to me on why you still dislike them but see their lives have been crappy too.

I've watched 100's of MAP's on RUclips over the years, and this one still remains to be my favorite. Each animator did an amazing job, and everyone who worked on this is just so talented. Nightcloud is such an underrated, and interesting character, it's a shame that she gets so much hate from the fandom.
Bois ik you all love your beautiful flawed lady-cat riddled with jealousy and heartache, but she did kinda fill her son with burning hatred, a resentment to his father, to his Clan, to his step-siblings, and eventually, to StarClan :(

Awesome! I think it really reflects on how Crowfeather never loved his family, when he had finally been given one.
I feel like everyone was to quick to hate on nightcloud even some of my friends hated her and thought she was The fragile she cat hiding behind crowfeathers shadow. I have always loved night cloud she deserves more then she has now.

Nightcloud gets so much hate. But if you stop thinking about her flaws, you see how great of a character she is! People just hate her because of her relationship with Crowfeather. It makes no sense to hate someone because they quarrel (i have not read Crowfeather's trail yet, so don't spoil it. Just simply ignore me if something happens to change it. I honestly hate spoilers).

oOOOO i love the way the editing fits the song per each part, and the similar designs between breezepelt and nightcloud was like a pretty brave move but it had an awesome turnout jfC nice job!!
Even though what everyone else thinks of Brezzepelt, I still think he's one of my favorite cats. Father hated him and grew up feeding on what Nightcloud told him horrible Crowfeather was. But you also can't blame her, Crowfeather used her and broke her heart and got away with it. In scene where Brezzepelt attacked Lionblaze, I secretly hoped Lionblaze would get hurt. Brezzepelt never desevered this, and this is just improves my hatred for Leafpool as well.
Shadow Kitten16 I did kinda feel bad for Breezepelt for the way Crowfeather treated him while he was young. But I agree that is probably why Crowy treated Breeze the way he did, and he was already dead inside. Breezy would have found another way to turn out to be a piece of shit though cuz, you're right, he did actually enjoy killing. Nightcloud probably then thought she could make Crowfeather love her since they had a kit together and were mates now, but clearly that wasn't the case lol :/

vi+Shadow Kitten16 I think that's a lie. I mean, why else would Nightcloud get mad about Crowfeather hanging around leafpool? If she truly did want him for kits, why would she complain Crowfeather was a bad mate? She clearly wanted more from him, which I speculate was love. She tried to nuzzle him a couple of times in the book, but Crowfeather absent mindedly stares off into the distance. Also, you forget Breezepelt trained in the dark forest. He was ENCOURAGED to do bad deeds because he got love for it. Most cats like Crookedstar had plenty of cats telling them not to follow violence because it would only lead to bad things later on, but Breezepelt was the outcast of the clans. No one I bet ever told him that killing, or hurting others was wrong, and even if they did, I doubt he would've listened because they treated him like crap. Also, you think emotional neglect is a joke? Breezepelt did not go edgy and emo, it was just his way of trying to get his father's attention. It is statistically shown that even if you fail to just HUG your child, they will feel distant from other people. If Crowfeather is actively IGNORING his own son, imagine the consequences of his actions later on! So, you have my point.
+Shadow Kitten16 Well, I think you just proved my point in the first paragraph. She does care about something other than just having kits because she tries to make Crowfeather feel like he is loved. If she was just trying to create a good image of her family for those around her, why in the sight (When Breezepelt and Lionblaze were buried alive) was she mad at Crowfeather for flirting with Leafpool when there was no one else around? And of course she wouldn't want someone pretending to love her! Why would anyone want that, other than to fake a relationship? Also you clearly state above that she wants nothing more than KITS. She wants a family with someone she loves, something most people strive for. Heck, even I want a family. It's not something so unusual to ask for, is it?
In your first post you said, "Breezepelt was the son of a love that didn't even exist Crowfeather didn't like him, so? Other cats like that turned out just fine. In even worse scenarios it was both parents, but the cats turned out great. So Crowfeather had next to nothing on Breezepelt going all edgy evil." So your logic is, if a child is beat up, but another child is being stabbed, the child being beat up should suck it up because it's not as bad as being stabbed. You are basically saying that Breezepelt is exactly the same as someone like Bluestar, and she had a worse life, so he can't complain about it. Also, in Bluestar's prophecy, fathers are shown to have a prominent appearance in their kit's lives. This is shown because Bluestar's father doesn't hang around her. Another thing, Nightcloud was just focused on trying to get her mate back in the picture so that their son could grow up with a father. I bet she thought, "Maybe, if I get Crowfeather to stay, all of Breezepelt's problems will be fixed." But what she didn't know was that it was already too late. Breezepelt started to realize that his father could never love him no matter what he did. Could you blame him for trying to find someone who would?
+Shadow Kitten16 Here is what I have a problem with though, you are essentially saying that because one cat that is abused and grows up well, that Breezepelt should too. You blame Breezepelt's state of mind on himself when there was SO many other factor that played into his madness (Ie. The Dark Forest, his dad, his clan). Also, if you really hate your teacher, do you tell them how much you hate them? Of course not, because you'll get in trouble. Same deal with Breezepelt. Also Breezepelt is not sick in the head. After all of the things he did, he now has a mate and kits that he very much loves. If he was really sick, he would've still tried to murder the clan cats.
Emotional neglect is one of the most overlooked types of abuse in the US. People who say, "Oh, he is just sick in the head." Are the people who don't understand it. Everything that Crowfeather has done (Or hasn't) has lead to Breezepelt's anger. There is almost no evidence in the book that suggests Nightcloud only wanted kits. The rumor just doesn't have any support. So even if the Erins did make it up, it doesn't make sense either way.
One thing important I should note, I do not condone Breezepelt's violence, I am just sick of people saying "Crowfeather had almost NOTHING to do with Breezepelt's madness." Or saying Nightcloud was the culprit.

Next is leafpool, NOW REMEMBER he mates with leafpool before he became mates with nightcloud, he had kits THAT HE DIDNT KNOW ABOUT, afterwards he says at that gathering that they aren’t mates

All of these characters are flawed and there is no justifying theeemmmm
@@wormsdraws maybe not, but she was very hostile towards him and their interactions in the book definitely imply that nightcloud hated him for being mates with leafpool

Oh man oh man, this has to be one of the most beautiful maps I've ever seen honestly. It was definitely worth the wait. Everything is so magnificently made, the art, the emotions on the characters and most importantly the hard that's been put into it everything about in general.
