i always found ivypool and hawkfrost's relationship interesting.(not romantically, i never saw them that way) but the dynamics of how they interacted to each other, and what he other must have felt. despite hawkfrost's intentions/attitude, im sure he must have felt some kind of care for her at somepoint. i dont believe in characters being "pure" evil
At one point they had feeling for eachother but then he had different intentions for her that she did for him,then she found out and out of fear,she did what he said,then she had a fight with him,he was about to attack but killed holly leaf instead,making ivy pool so mad and sad she confronted him ending with bramble law killing hawkfrost making her happy because somebody avenged holly leaf,and saved her from him. I agree 100% with what you think

The guy she attempts to meet up with (and this is me agreeing with several of the comments I saw on here) flaked out because he wasn't able to handle her baggage. In the case of Hawkfrost and Ivypool, she was feeling neglected and ended up in the wrong place. As a result of her feelings, she clung to the first cat who seemed to care about her, a log like the woman in the song. But Hawkfrost was using her for his own purposes and never truly bothered to notice how far Ivypool was willing to go for his attention (romantic or not) so by the part where she's like "I thought you saw me", she's realizing that there's nothing she can do to impress him. And then she ends up fighting him because she knew which side she was on. She made her choice, even if it meant watching a piece of herself die with him, because she put so much effort into trying to get his attention even though she knew what the end result would be. It doesn't have to be romantic, though. This is just how I see her actions in regards to Hawkfrost.
Actually, Hawkfrost was always impressed by Ivypool. He constantly payed attention to her, he always looked for her and was around her in the dark forest. :T

Tigerstar of MeadowClan I wouldn't necessarily say that. Hawkfrost was the only trainee cat he truly liked and cared about. He truly thought she was on their side, he didn't have to manipulate. I no longer ship them, because that would be a domestic violence relationship. Sure, he never hurt her with words, but he was a bit rough with her in training and such. :T But I still belive that Hawkfrost cared about Ivypool
+Allison Harp Tigerstar had A LOT of influence on Hawkfrost. If Tigerstar never made an effort to speak to him and manipulate him like how he did, Hawkfrost could have been a good cat, a leader probably.

I'm a million years late, but I love that Ivypool's paws stay bloody after she kills antpelt, it fades a bit, but they're never clean in the video after that point.
Because of how Omen of the Stars dragged on a pretty slow and worn plot line (it was interesting, but just lasted too long), I feel like Hawkfrost and Ivypool’s TRUE relationship is often overlooked. It’s actually got a lot of depth, is extremely conflicting and layered, and adds so much to their characters
one of the saddest parts about ivypaw/pool's visits to the dark forest is the fact that she knows she can't stop. even if she wanted to and even if lionblaze and jayfeather let her, she wouldn't be able to because she'd gotten too involved with it. I honestly hold a high respect for Ivypool because she got past so much.
sometimes i'll come back to this video, and just... remember! this pmv was very influential on my drive to learn to draw, and genuinely was a BIG favorite of mine. it still is! it still blows me away the amount of work and love put into the project, and im so happy that it's still up, and that it's still getting seen! i hope that people, if they haven't seen it yet and are only just now watching this, are just as inspired as i was when i was a kid ;;w;;

I know that it makes no sense, but this is my comfort pmv. I absolutely love the soft art style, and with gentle voices of the singers, it just gives me chills.
I really enjoy this pmv. Hawkfrost isn’t presented as just some evil guy who is all “standby stabby kill kill”, it shows that he’s beyond what he turned out to be in the Dark Forest. Ivy and Hawk’s relationship was very interesting and I wish that the Erin’s did more with it. Hawkfrost was a bad person, yes, but he wasn’t born inherently bad. I believe he did care about Ivy, let it be in his own twisted way, and he was around her more than her actual father. And no I do not think of them as romantically, more like big brother little sister dynamic. In a way, Hawkfrost might’ve seen some of himself in Ivypool because of their similar situations; having a sibling viewed as better or more skilled than themselves. I think the pmv was amazing in expressing the emotion and the relationship between the two, and the end got me-
This PMV is one of my favorites and I come back to it all the time. The song is fantastic, and I also love the simple art style. This has one of my favorite Hawkfrost designs, love that is pointed like Sasha. I think this is just one of the best PMVs in the community.
I feel this song fits the really, really well. Others may not see it but, it does truly explain how their relationship evolved from seeming to be a perfect pair to how hawkfrost truly did not really care for ivypaw/pool

I always loved how at first Hawkfrost appeared in a beautiful meadow, and there was no blood on his throat. Then things grew darker and you could clearly see the wound that killed him. Always a clever part in my mind. Lovely map, always rewatching it.
I remember watching this when I was younger, and I fell in love with both the song and this animation. I’ve come back to it almost 5 years later, and it’s still so beautiful, I can’t help but replay it over and over.

I honestly think that hawkfrost and ivy can be seen two completely different ways, one, romantically, and the other, like family. In many ways i think that hawkfrost kinda was like a father figure towards Ivy, because he was really around more than her actual parents, and he tought her nearly everything she knows, not to mention the fact that ivypool was almost ignored by her clanmates, he gave her the support and kindness she needed, yet despite his efforts she still betrayed him in the end, he saw it as kinda, his time and friendship wasted on her, yet he was still sorrowful.

No matter how many times I watch this video, I am always taken aback by how beautifully the audio represents what's presented both by the author of the actual story, and by the artist.
This oddly fits these two. "I'm grieving over loss" I took that as her overreacting to not getting enough attention (Not like I see her as a crybaby or anything, I just think she overreacted and that lead to her downfall) and taking a chance to get it. Not the best choice, we soon learn. Ivypool just wanted someone who could respect her, and she got that. It's just the cats who respected her did it because of all the wrong reasons. I like how in this song the male leaves the woman behind, because here it shows that even if Hawkfrost seemed interested at first, she was never quite his favourite. I do believe, though that for a long time she was, and Tigerstar told him to deal with other trainees, and... Ivypool was deserted. "I was sure you saw me. But it wasn't meant to be" This shows how, like I said before, Hawkfrost didn't like her quite as much (as an apprentice) and she "finally gave up" and told the others about her training there. She no longer had use for him, seeing as he no longer gave her attention. Again, I don't see her as a crybaby or a mary sue or anything like that, but I think the fandom gives Dovewing too much hate even though Ivypool is more of the cat that was thirsty for attention. The attention simply landed on Dovewing because she possessed powers. I JUST REALIZED THIS SONG GIVES ME CHILLS (edit)

I love this video so much. It perfectly shows how tragic Ivypool's journey is throughout the arc, and that she's left behind and feels alone, and the one cat she believes is her friend is merely manipulating and using her, making her feel more alone than before.

This is amazing! I can't even keep track of how many times I've seen this. I love this. And honestly, I'm a MASSIVE fan of the warriors series but I think that if Hawkfrost was still alive after the battle in Omen of the Stars 6 Last Hope, Ivypool and Hawkfrost would fight to the death. Though things could have changed in the series, your videos are unbelievably good.

I love the detail. This is hands-down the best Ivypool - Hawkfrost animation I know of, and one of the best warrior cats animations I've ever seen.

I always loved how at first Hawkfrost appeared in a beautiful meadow, and there was no blood on his throat. Then things grew darker and you could clearly see the wound that killed him. Always a clever part in my mind. Lovely map, always rewatching it.

I honestly think that hawkfrost and ivy can be seen two completely different ways, one, romantically, and the other, like family. In many ways i think that hawkfrost kinda was like a father figure towards Ivy, because he was really around more than her actual parents, and he tought her nearly everything she knows, not to mention the fact that ivypool was almost ignored by her clanmates, he gave her the support and kindness she needed, yet despite his efforts she still betrayed him in the end, he saw it as kinda, his time and friendship wasted on her, yet he was still sorrowful.

It’s been four years and I’m still rewatching this
This oddly fits these two.
"I'm grieving over loss" I took that as her overreacting to not getting enough attention (Not like I see her as a crybaby or anything, I just think she overreacted and that lead to her downfall) and taking a chance to get it. Not the best choice, we soon learn.
Ivypool just wanted someone who could respect her, and she got that. It's just the cats who respected her did it because of all the wrong reasons.
I like how in this song the male leaves the woman behind, because here it shows that even if Hawkfrost seemed interested at first, she was never quite his favourite. I do believe, though that for a long time she was, and Tigerstar told him to deal with other trainees, and... Ivypool was deserted.
"I was sure you saw me. But it wasn't meant to be"
This shows how, like I said before, Hawkfrost didn't like her quite as much (as an apprentice) and she "finally gave up" and told the others about her training there. She no longer had use for him, seeing as he no longer gave her attention.
Again, I don't see her as a crybaby or a mary sue or anything like that, but I think the fandom gives Dovewing too much hate even though Ivypool is more of the cat that was thirsty for attention. The attention simply landed on Dovewing because she possessed powers.

I love this video so much. It perfectly shows how tragic Ivypool's journey is throughout the arc, and that she's left behind and feels alone, and the one cat she believes is her friend is merely manipulating and using her, making her feel more alone than before.

And honestly, I'm a MASSIVE fan of the warriors series but I think that if Hawkfrost was still alive after the battle in Omen of the Stars 6 Last Hope, Ivypool and Hawkfrost would fight to the death. Though things could have changed in the series, your videos are unbelievably good.

I can’t believe I just noticed this, but you don’t see where Hawkfrost was stabbed until he steps into the Dark Forest. And when he enters it, his eyes are inverted, I suppose implying that he was showing his true colors, instead of his friendly exterior.
