I have this plane and love it. Landed it 50ft up in a tree once. When it came down only 30 dollars in parts needs to fix it. It is a tank. I added the dubro air tires and it lands much better. A few weeks back i was doing touch and goes at the club runway running the whole length on one wheel and dragging a wing tip. What's a blast to fly.
@@TheRcSaylors they really do help with the bounce on landing. Get the ones recommended as upgrades. Then run them with no air inside. You will be glad.
Lol, well that definitely makes me feel better! Really glad you enjoyed this video! I have a strong hunch that you’ll love our next planned video if all goes well 👍😁😎⚓️
I wish you guys would affiliate with Hobby King. They have been releasing a fantastic number of planes this year where the rest of the companies seem to be in a rut. I think you guys would get a real kick out of the Avios Albatross and get to fly it at the lake with the boats. In fact I think you should have a Float Plane week :)
I wish this was a budget model here in Australia, cost me $550 delivered PNP, not yet assembled, but also bought 2 x 6S batteries and a suitable charger, few coins change from $1000 and not including the radio gear!
@@TheRcSaylors That’s true. I will never forget that happening. Just a few more seconds and it would have been on the ground. I love watching and flying bigger planes. This one may have to be added to the short list of planes to get.
Oh, this is an absolute no-brainer. Please do pick one up and think of me on your first couple flights! If I am wrong about this being an awesome plane, lemme have it (in the comments section, lol) and if I’m right, enjoy your awesome new plane!! 👍😁😎⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors No brainer? Right up my alley 😂 Now this will make the Habu STS and the Arrows 1800 Husky. I really don’t think you need to worry about not being right. Arrows makes nice planes, my opinion.
Happy to full throttle blast this puppy! Such a cool plane. Maybe worth selling one of your old planes and putting those funds toward this one!? 🤷♂️👍😎⚓️
The only upgrade it needs is Dubro inflatable tires. Everyone switches the tires. Its a fantastic plane. Really heavy thick foam with an amazing finish and paint.. The control surfaces are very large so it will do all sorts of acrobatics, and will get you out of trouble with all that power. The 5S Special Edition was just as powerful, just a weird battery size. At $350 this has been one of the best bargains of the last two years.
So glad I’m not the only one to think this. Definitely makes me feel better about such “bold” statements such as the Best “cheap” and Huge Airplane! I feel very strongly about this plane. Quite possibly the most fun I’ve ever had on 6S if you don’t count speed and overal scale looks 👍😁😎⚓️

@@TheRcSaylors I just took the prop down to a 10x7. Stock ESC still. It's a lot of fun with that kind of power. Most of the flight can be done from 50% to 75% throttle.
Switcher = Nate. How many switches can a Switcher switch, switches if a Switcher could switch, switches.🤔🤔 🤣🥴🥴😉😉. Nate of course you Can switch switches, just took you a couple minutes. 🤭🤭🤭. Some Very good flying from a Very versatile & capable plane & Pilot. DITTO on the videoing & v-ographer. 👏👏👏👏 to both ya'll. ⚓⚓👍💚💜💛👍👏👏🤔🤣🥴😉👏👏👍⚓⚓.
Awesome flying, proving this plane can do anything. Put some soft tires on it and it will stick to the ground instead of bounce. The stock tires are awful.
Either that, or when my throttle stick moves past (above or below) 30%. This is a default setting on my radio. Still not sure if I like that beeping or not. Usually if I’m trimming the plane I’ll say I either am, or just did. Hope this helps!! 👍😁😎⚓️
I just seen a new plane/boat. $500. Propeller. Add says glider. Floats and takes off. Add shows them stepping on it. Sorry I don’t have the product name. Anyways, was hoping to see you review one. Looks like a fighter jet
Floating planes in with zero throttle gives you next to zero flight authority. Just 10% throttle would allow you to grease those landings. Just sayin' 😉 But then again, I don't have an RC channel with 314,000 subscribers.
@@TheRcSaylors I've only been flying RC for 2 years, so I'm still learning too. There are some high-wing planes that can be floated in and forgive you (STOL type), but the reality is that ALL planes react better when "flown" into the landing with some level of power. It's hard when beginning to fly, because the mind says "come in a slow as possible". I spend a lot of time just practicing take-offs & landings and now I'm focusing on left-stick skills with a feather light (slow) 3D plane. If I was to bet, I'd say that well over 50% of RC pilots are poorly skilled in rudder & throttle control...I don't want to be in that 50% anymore. 😉
I’m sure I fall under that category! I want to be better. I really try to push myself to be better. The trouble is, probably about 90% of my stick time is for video sake. I don’t get a lot of off camera practice time, and sadly by the time I get “good” at flying a plane, it’s long forgotten about here on RUclips. Don’t get me wrong, as I LOVE doing what we do, but the occasional crawler (which I do love, just differently) and bashers etc… sort of “hood me back” in some ways from improving to be the pilot that I’d really like to be. Might just be an excuse, but I wish I had more time to fly to simply improve. It’s hard with everything life throws at us, but I’m grateful for the time we do have to fly. Thanks for taking the time to chat with me! Happy Flying 💯💯💯⚓️
Good question! I’m not sure why yet, but this plane has me more excited to fly it again. It just feels more powerful and capable over scale. I’d say the CC is heavier and more scale looking, while this is a bit more sporty and for my flying style, a little more fun 💯👍😁😎⚓️
Thanks! I thought maybe it needs balancing too, while listening to this, editing the video. However I’ve read from some in our comments section that they all sound like this whether it’s balanced or not. 🤷♂️😅⚓️
Lol budget plane. $350 is definitely not what I would call a budget plane but in a way it is when they go way up in price. Those Lil $150 smart planes with the controller is a budget plane.
