Trev, don`t let a tent bag dictate to you what shape to fold it mate. Most tent bags are long and awkward to pack, so I always take any poles out and put them up vertically in one side corner of the the rucksack, then I fold the tent and the pegs into a shorter dumpier bag, and make it one of the last things I pack, either at, or near the top of the pack in the middle. 👍🏼
Yea, I was considering using a dry sack to stash the bag, but always helpful if a tent sack works well to start. I quite like the set up of the lanshan bag. But great tips, cheers Pieter

🐄🐃🐂😴🏕❤👍 Good morning Trev, we watched this before bed last night, thank you, it was a cracking video! Pleased that you gave the Tigris another go, and for the large part seem to make up, shame about the condensation, odd considering how much mesh it has. Loved the time lapse elements as always, really lovely and very moody! Hope you and the family are well, have a great week, Ceri and Kat ☕❤🤗🌞
Yea, there doesn't seem to be any ventilation at the top of the tent so I guess id just as well been under a tarp. Glad you enjoyed this episode, it was all on the handycam this time (plus my phone) as I was expecting rain and a possible write off through the night so left my decent camera at home. It didn't come out too bad in the end. Cheers for watching!

It looks a lot better than your previous attempt. At least you gave it another go. You found a lovely spot for wild camp. Gorgeous sunset. Shame your camping buddies kept you awake! Loving the morning shots, beautiful. xx
I've got a couple of OneTigris Teepee hot tents. They definitely don't come with enough pegs or guy ropes to put them up fully taut and they do condensate like a single skin due to the mesh inner. Big plus for me being very tall is I get a 3m diameter tent at normal backpacking weight and it's high enough to sit 2 people on Trekology chairs inside. I use some carabiner's to allow quick attaching/remove of the extra guy ropes as needed. Also got the OneTigris Tentsformer poncho/tent, but not dared try that as a tent yet. Oh and the compression straps are the correct way if you fix it to the outside of your pack.
Hi there Trevor , love the video as usual , your sense of humour made my day , specially the beginning of the video , hahahaha , thank you and i will wait for your next video .... Sincerely yours Luc from South of France
If I've got anything which needs hiking poles to keep it up, I make a note of the pole length. If there is a label sewn into it then I write the pole length on with a permanent marker in case I forget it. It makes pitching just that little bit less hassle.
I'm sure you've figured it out by now, but there are extra pull cords on the corners of the bathtub that you can tighten or stake down. Good video mate, funny and brave after the first experience to take it out in that!
Did an over night back in July and on arriving at the site the wind was wicked! Had to find some heavy rocks to reinforce the stakes (pegs lol) Was using my Lanshan set it up facing the lake so the wind was going through the open doors. Once the wind died down had a beautiful night with thousands of bug friends and millions of stars. Happy camping
Glad that the tent stayed up for you though. Nothing more amazing than having the stars to yourself out on them there moors. Maybe not the bugs though 🤣
You should try out my favourite tent, Trevor, the Robens 'Boulder 2'. Spaceous, warm(very little mesh), great headroom, guaranteed for 62 miles/hour wind, two vestibules...same floor space as NH CloudUp2, but feels way roomier👍🏼😊 Excellent video-as always🇧🇻👋😊
Great vlog, as usual. The snoring cow really made me giggle . The start bit, you getting angry with the tent, reminded me of The Brian Conley Show (It's A Puppet!) Mind you, you do look a bit like him, ha x
I bought the lanshan to have a lighter tent and the size. Plus the ventilation for the hot months. And the winter inner works a treat as well. Naturehike cloud peak 2 for me has been tested in the wind and rain on a paid campsite in Dartmoor so I know it will be OK on the moors. Which weighs the same as my banshee 200 . The weight on the tigris Tangrum is off putting bit probably more robust than the lanshan hence the weight. But you took it out and shown the condensation due to air flow. So I know what the issues are. Plus Trev you went out there and did it and I know you were prepared to go back to the car if it is too much . So I have adoration for that and inspires me to keep coming back to dartmoor. Which I am going to dartmoor on Monday after dropping my partner off. And hopefully camp next to the river next to Meldon reservoir where it is in the purple area. My first real river camp . If there are people there I will have to find somewhere else to pitch or go to the paid campsite as a back up plan. We will see. Take care Trev and thanx again for inspiring me to return to Dartmoor, hiking and making videos to record my adventures. Take care buddy.
Hi Trev. Didn't think we'd be seeing that tent again! 😁 Went up a treat though, and admit it, you'd never have read the instructions if they provided them! 😉 Never heard a cow snoring before! Very educational channel this 👍😊 ATB!
I do remember that video where you kept bleeping out the word "tent"..... ;-) Looks like you did a good job of pitching it and it looks quite spacious inside. I did laugh at the snoring cow - I've never seen anyone else experience that on Dartmoor! Thanks for sharing, Trev. All the best and have a good week.
🤣🤣🤣 that was the word I was bleeping, Olly, you're right. And yea, those cows were a little too close for comfort. Kept thinking id get trampled. Cheers for watching, mate.
I agree that it would be good if One Tigris would include instructions for set up... Mine managed to survive some 50 mph winds but did fill up with sand (my failed desert camp) don't know about rain yet either but did hose it down pretty good with a garden hose. and it stayed dry, not the same thing through.. The Damn cows were a bit of a nuisance all night... and left bovine land mines about as well..
Yea, I did step in one or two in the night when I went star gazing. It certainly held up alright, bit of a shame the condensation though. Will see how it fares in the rain another day. Cheers for watching
My goodness you made that look harder than what it is for putting up a great tent. Recommended hiking pole height is 120-130 & always keep the inner attached. Only problem i have is the bag it comes in, I replaced mine for a dry bag...
Nice one Trev - enjoying yourself again!. Dartmoor is a magic place, wish I new it better. Cattle keeping you company 👍. Time-lapse was great. I do like to see a good bit of tent abuse 😂
I had to chuckle at the intro. 😂 I've just bought a Tangram, yet to try it out, so thanks for the heads up. My first thought was ' I need a better bag.'
Great Video, the colours in your shots were class. That cow would have made me nervous 😅 The One Tigris looked pretty good, I love earthy coloured tents, the trekking pole tents always take some time to get the nack of. Great to see you out again, see you in the next one 👍
🤣🤣🤣🤣 this reminds me of myself years ago putting up a new social tent we bought for us all to sit in I took it all out the mrs swearing at her for not doing it properly and she went off to bed in our tent very early 😂😂 oh the joys of new tents and the wind. Memories.
I have the same tent. I leave the inner attached. It makes setting up a doddle. Also, the doors themselves can be used to tension the poles to keep them upright followed by using a guy to keep it secure. You had too much tension on the fly, that's why the zipper was coming undone at the bottom. I enjoyed the video, but you made it look far more difficult to set up than it actually is.
Another quality video trev, well put together as always and well shot. Must say, I was hoping you were gonna have a re match with the tent and start fighting again haha. That bloody cow, it would do my head in haha.

OMG!! Love the notes from your kids 😂🤣😂 hilarious!!! Not sure on the tent at all, not sure how it’s different from the Lanshan other than just not being as good as the Lanshan! 😂
Yea, I know what you mean, Karen. It may be a little cheaper too but that's only because demand has pushed the lanshan price up from what it used to be. Anyway, not a bad camp. Cheers for watching!
Great video bud, it looked similar to the lanshan, I don’t know the price difference though? But looked like an alright tent. That was nice of the kids to do that, my boys would never think of doing something like that! 👍🏻✌🏻
I was smiling when you were walking up to your camp spot, one of hiking poles seemed to hanging precariously on your rucksack. I was thinking your bad luck with this tent was going to continue. Nice one Trev
You could have just edited first the comment and I would have been none the wiser lol. Or tou could have pretended that you were called Simon and that was your sign off 🤣 Hope you get on OK with the one tigris when you get out in it! Cheers for watching!
“Summit ……. Or yawning” Still my favourite clip trev v one tigris Wonder how much condensation you’d get on a still and cold night, chances are it would be raining.
Cheers Motueka. Glad that you enjoy them. Decathlon quechua forclaz trousers. Really comfy, really reasonable price and turn into shorts when it gets too hot. Thanks for watching!
It’s a great tent mate but you still need to practice pegging out if done right it’s drum tight and the outer goes down to the ground. Awesome video and content as always mate 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😀👍
I can only imagine how bad the condensation would have been if it had gone all the way to the floor. Surprising how much there was considering the breeze up there that night! But it fared much better than i had expected.
Your son will probably be a doctor with writing like that 😂 You have a lovely family Trev ❤️ Well done for putting that tent up in the wind. I’ve only practiced with mine on the green space out the back behind the flats, no wind, no rain. Once you get the hang of it, it’s a fantastic tent. It’s my favourite tent. I’d like to know how it does in the rain too. That cow though 😂😂😂 propa 😴 By the way, at the beginning, about 3.30, just after the sheep was in shot, there’s a very fast moving large black animal. I’m thinking it was a dog, but it’s very big. I do wonder if it was a big cat. I’m not saying that to scare you… big cats wouldn’t risk hunting a human when there’s so many sheep to be had. They see humans as a risk to them. Even if there weren’t any sheep around, they’d still not attack a human. Too risky for them on the whole. I took some screen shots to see if I could get a better look. Great camp btw… the colours at this time of year are simply breath-taking 👍🏼 EDIT: lol… the big black thing was a car 🥴
🤣🤣🤣 Yes he could well with writing like that lol. Yea I think if its during the first cloud timelapse, it may 3ven be a person in the distance. There was quite a few people around when i got up there. Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching
It was ok. A little too much condensation and not sure what it would have been like on a down pour but we'll find out one day im sure. Good luck on the moors, Johny!
great vid yet again trev , kudos for sticking with that one tigris though mate , it looks far too much of a faff for my liking. also if i may , is that UL140 worth the extra money over the UL80 that i`ve got?? i`m looking at getting one for when the Mrs tags along on rare occassions
Now that I know how to roll up the ul140, yea, I think its much better. A lot comfier and actually having the in built pump although not essential is quite handy.
Good job you woke when hearing that zip Trev. It could of been Pixies going to take advantage of you. Nath may a been a bit peeved missing out on that 🔥
@@SummitOrNothing official specs would swap in favor of lanshan when looking at rain. Ups for OneTigres would be the (seemly) tougher materials if looking at wind and scratching up the tent, as well as current price, but lanshan seems unbeatable on weight as a one and two person option. I think I’ll be ordering the lanshan pro 2 soon.
I'm not so comfortable with cows, bit eerie having one snoring outside but I guess one gets used to it. They are lovely creatures. My current thinking is to pick up a DD Tarp Tent soon - have you used one? Great video, ignore your son and stay on You Tube 😀
Yea, was fine when they were sleeping (albeit a bit noisy) but when they were walking about out there it was a bit eerie. Had visions of being trampled. Not tried a tarp tent yet. Another one to add to my list ⛺

Yea, I'm glad I got it out for a camp, was a lot better than I had imagined ot would be, and I think there are still improvements to make putting it up. Cheers for watching
This channel is smegging brilliant.
Cheers Simon. Glad that you think so 🤣
Meant to ask where was this? Didn't hear you mention it, apologies if you're did 👍
Angle your tentstakes away from the guyline mate! Especially in winds O.o Fun to camp in winds though, but of weather can be great fun :D
I'm stressing over your trekking pole hanging off at the start of the video lol! 😂😂
I know, I didnt notice until I was practically at camp lol
Wouldn't have laughed if you'd got to camp without it..... Honest! 😂😂
Enjoyed that 👍 cheers 😊
I have been waiting for this 👏🤣
Hope you enjoy it!
This really isn't the tent for you Trev! 😂 That pitch was absolutely shocking 🙈 you've done it a bit of a disservice there mind, I love my little Tangram and if we ever cross paths I'll show you how to pitch it as tight as a drum 🥁 👍🏻
Great video. Nice one
Cows snoring … insects chirping… whipper wills calling all night is exactly the reason I always take soft earplugs !! 😂🤣Your One Tigress looks like it could Do with some side guy out points near the bottom … nice color though like my Lanshan 2 …. Some lovely cinematic effects there Trev … lovely video … ATB Dave Mc
Yea, there was a few tweaks i could have made. I have yet to try earplugs but tbh I hate sticking things in my ears. I think I'd be more aware of that myself. Cheers for watching, Dave
@@SummitOrNothing …. There are some super soft foam earplugs out there dedicated to getting a better nights sleep … yeh you feel a little pressure in your ears at first …. But after a while (like an hour or less ) you get used to them and the more you use them night after night the easier it gets… I guarantee you will get an much better nights sleep honest!! 👍👍😄😄
@@SummitOrNothing ….. watch this on the correct way to insert earplugs … the Orange earplugs are similar to the ones I use …. ATB Dave Mc ruclips.net/video/ZzbKJEFULio/видео.html
I think my wife may have put them up to it. Was still a good surprise though.
Great video, glad it all worked out ok
Yea, may have been a different story in the rain though 🤷♂️
“It sounds like one done a shit right outside my door” 👏🤣
🐄💩
intro had me rollin 🤣
🤣🤣
I was smiling when you were walking up to your camp spot, one of hiking poles seemed to hanging precariously on your rucksack. I was thinking your bad luck with this tent was going to continue. Nice one Trev
I know, I didnt clock it until i stopped to set up lol. Good job I didnt lose that pole.
@@SummitOrNothing that would have been a video for after the watershed for sure.
That was good entertainment
Great fun to watch, but for yourself maybe get a really good tent and enjoy it.
Good video Trev
Thanks Ray!
The instructions are sewn into the bag. I had the same problems trying to tame it 🤣
They are since my initial review. They actually took on board my awful review 🤣🤣
😂 Enjoyed that . I've got that tent , set it up months ago in my garden 😂 gotta use it soon now. Nice one take care Simon 👍
Simon 🤪 muppet . I mean Trev 😂
You could have just edited first the comment and I would have been none the wiser lol. Or tou could have pretended that you were called Simon and that was your sign off 🤣 Hope you get on OK with the one tigris when you get out in it! Cheers for watching!
Nice one bud 😜🤣
“Summit ……. Or yawning”
Still my favourite clip trev v one tigris
Wonder how much condensation you’d get on a still and cold night, chances are it would be raining.
Yea that was a lot of condensation for the conditions
220cm and sloping at both ends ... Do you think it is ok for taller hiker ? cheers
Always look forward to your uploads. Glad you got on with tent this time. Just wondering what walking trousers you use.👍
That cow though 😂😂😂 propa 😴
By the way, at the beginning, about 3.30, just after the sheep was in shot, there’s a very fast moving large black animal.
That intro though. That’s me in a nutshell lol 😂 the golf swing cracked me up 😂😂 every tent I’ve seen reviewer by one tigress seem terrible.
🤣🤣 yea, if only my swing was that good a golf course lol. Seems to be a mixed bag with reviews for this tent.
I loved this 🤣 it made me laugh so much! Still can’t bring myself to wild camp! I’m a bit of a toilet tart 🤣
Hahah! Yea - that takes some getting used too lol
10 seconds in and I have my morse code book at the ready.
🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
Looked a decent tent in the end. I'm off down there next week. I need my wildcamping fix
It was ok. A little too much condensation and not sure what it would have been like on a down pour but we'll find out one day im sure. Good luck on the moors, Johny!
You'd of thought all that mesh would of stopped most of the condensation. Maybe the cow pissed on you during the night 😅
great vid yet again trev , kudos for sticking with that one tigris though mate , it looks far too much of a faff for my liking.
also if i may , is that UL140 worth the extra money over the UL80 that i`ve got?? i`m looking at getting one for when the Mrs tags along on rare occassions
Now that I know how to roll up the ul140, yea, I think its much better. A lot comfier and actually having the in built pump although not essential is quite handy.
Good job you woke when hearing that zip Trev.
It could of been Pixies going to take advantage of you.
Nath may a been a bit peeved missing out on that 🔥
Haha... yea it could have been them peskie piskies lol
nice 1 trev 👍👍👍👌👌🤙🤙🤙
Cheers Craig
Great vid mate 👍
Put it in the wheelie bin and forget about it 😂
That tent is crap ….
ATVB ….. Tony
That went ok considering the previous pitch 🤣. I really thought you'd find the tent bag covered in cow shitzle.
Haha.... so did I, John. Bit close for comfort lol
you were very lucky to find the tent bag, you could easily have lost it, get in a habit of putting it straight in your rucksack mate
I usually shove everything in it as I go... not done this in 5 years of camping
Great video Trev, which Tor is this please?
This is rowtor, John
Does the UL140 fit in there ok?
How would you now rate the OneTigres versus the Lanshan 2 Pro => Space inside (considering 2 adults), overall quality?
I'm swaying towards the Lanshan so far... have yet to test this in the rain though!
Watching this I wonder: do you ever get a good night's sleep on Dartmoor? Amazed how cheerful you are after such a blustery night.
One in three times id say lol
I think the secret to a good noght sleep is just beeing tired as f*ck. When you do 20+ km up hill, you will always sleep like a king 😂
Can't believe how bad the condensation was bearing in mind the wind and the amount of mesh. Very surprised. 🤷🏼♂️ Good vid though buddy. 👍
Yeah, I thought the same.
I know, that was a lot of moisture for a breezy night. Thought I may have left the kettle on 🤣
@@SummitOrNothing 🤣 or soaked clothes as was the case in my dartmoor camp last thursday 🙄
@@NoviceWildCamper yea, that'll do it!
