I live in Plymouth, right next to the moors and one of the best things I can say about Dartmoor is the wild ponies, watching them run together and just be free is so beautiful and their determination will never cease to amaze me.
Mate, I cannot tell you how happy I am to see another of your videos become available as I sit here with a broken leg (dreaming of long walks in the sun.) Your efforts are much appreciated, thank you.
I have been waiting for this episode as I live on the edge of Dartmoor. It was a great watch and I am glad you experienced Dartmoor weather as the weather changes so quick on Dartmoor.
Found your channel recently and I've been binging your content, since I'm now on a gap year and want to travel a bit, you really inspired me to try out long distance hiking with camping. You're actually really close to my home town and I planned to backpack across devon as a start for this year! Keep up the awesomeness!
Hi there thank you so much for this I haven't been camping now for 3years due to cancer but now I'm on the way forward we want to take it up again. I have made cider chicken before but added cream to it lol, it's amazing it was meant to be pork but I didn't have any in the freezer. Keep going .xx
Great video Liam. My stomping ground for 55 years. I first wild camped aged 13, walked solo Plymouth to Okehampton army camp and back the next day. Kids wouldn't be allowed these days. Been smitten ever since. It's a wonderful place to escape to. I think you're on Cosdon Hill, originally Cawsand Hill.
It was different then. From age 5 walked everywhere, dad didn't have a car. Far fewer restrictions, fences, etc and considerably fewer cars. You would see a few farmers and the Marines out training and that was it. I camped between Yes Tor and the Army camp outside Okehampton in a 30 shilling Millets cotton pup tent.
Hi i am imigrant but i love the Great Britain very much and Nature here what is so beautifull that hard ti find anything like that anywhere else I am so happy that You are able to show peoople this beautiful Land and i am so greatful to You That i could sea everything like on the plate on Your chanel you tube its encourages me to think that one day i will go for such adventure Warm greetings and wishes from Your gratest Fan
Wow, looks great out there in Dartmoor! Beautiful views, so many lovely different green tones, and even horses on a hill, love that! The camp looks cozy as always and the food so delicious. You really know the rights spots for hiking and camping. I had a great time following you out here. Thanks a lot! Cheers, Mario
i love watching your videos because Everytime I've watch it I've felt that your touring me in your beautiful country. watching from Philippines while drinking beer 🍺🍻
You my freind are such an inspiration. I have just finished the imber range perimeter path walked with freinds for charity and this has made me want to do it again!
Great video Liam Absolutely adore Dartmoor and really chuffed to see it Have you heard of ten tors? It’s an army ran event where (school age) participants have to walk 35 miles on Dartmoor independently with a wild camp as well
Another great vid. Dartmoor looks like an alien world, it's so desolate and bleak, but at the same time really beautiful. Looking forward to your next video already, cheers
It wasn't always so bleak, it used to be woodland at one point. There are some groups rewilding parts of Dartmoor to it's original state on a small scale, they even re-introduced beavers successfully.
Like your videos, no megga trek up mountains with all the latest gear to pitch in 10ft snow. Just a steady walk and a chilled pitch. The food looked awesome, in fact it looked so good I actually got up and made more or less the same🤣. 12 down 3 to go, looking forward to the Scottish trips👍
Just found your channel, Liam, & really enjoying your videos, so thank you. I’m old enough to be your mum but you are an inspiration!! Well done & please keep making the videos 😊
A joy to watch Would love details about the location of your walk.Well constructed video by a charismatic guy.Don't forget midge protection for Scotland ; they can drive you mad.
Pleased to see a longer video this week LB! Those cans of rice pudding are better cold anyway 👍🏻 eagerly await the next national park, not many left 👏🏻
It get's better brother, wasted 20 years of my life with anxiety & panic attacks. These days it's rare for me to panic over anything, and if I do, I accept it, and even welcome it like an old friend, with little to no emotional reaction it never bothers me, and subsides. You gotta get outside sir, as often as you can, and exercise as much as you're able, anxiety loves inactivity & boredom. If you can find her books I'd recommend Dr. Claire Weekes series on Anxiety, after trying every treatment & medication known to man (including anti-psychotics etc) Her books (and putting acceptance into practise) combined with exercise solved the majority of my issues. She was a very wise old bird, and well worth a read. And I can tell you from experience it's very difficult to be anxious, when you're physically exhausted from exersion. Wish you all the very best.
@@Grumpy-Bollocks thanks man. roughly 6 years in atm. getting out allot more lately & can attest that achey legs somehow does equate to less anxiety. i still have lots of mental work to do though, giving CBT another shot now. fingers crossed. & thanks for the book recommendations. the last self help book i tried was "feel the fear and do it anyway" by Susan Jeffers. didn't really jive with me, but i suppose i could have tried harder with it. happy you got out of it, best of luck in the future man.
Could watch your videos all day! You have a great personality and very inspiring! Thought gotta say I would absolutely s*** myself being woken up by cows being that close haha 😂😂😂

Love your channel and these types of videos specifically. As many others in your comments say, it’s definitely an inspiring insight into hiking/camping. Class mate, keep them coming!
I stumbled upon your channel about a week ago and have binged every video in that time lol. Great content mate. You just seem like a proper sound lad and have a great outlook on life. Also don't know if anyone has ever mentioned this but you're the spitting image of Joe Root (England Cricketer) lol.. keep up the good work mate 😊
Another great video Liam👌loving all the gourmets you do, love the simplicity of what you do.👍 Keep up the good work lad and looking forward to your vids in Scotland.
Jail ale on draft is really nice if you venture into princetown ..lots of forest areas on the outskirts of Dartmoor are good places to camp with fresh spring water
I have just discovered this channel. Absolutely amazing what you are doing here. I would love to do this but not sure I have the bottle 😀. After being stuck indoors for just about 2 years what with Covid and 2 back surgeries I could't think of anything better than sitting there outdoors with a beer or a whisky (especially in Scotland) in the piece and quiet with those views. Great work. 🥃
Loving these wild camping videos Liam but from an original subscriber, when’s the next combi van camping video ? ;) I can relate to these videos a lot as I spend a lot of time hiking in the hills, nearly every weekend and camping in my caddy camper van 🤙🏼
Top man soldier. Your doing great with the camera shot and editing. Some terrific filming.👍👍. Best hurry up to Scotland it'll be winter again up there in three months🤣🤣.

We use to do Dartmoor Ten Tors walk/camp as army cadet training being 60 miles in 30 days. When fog comes down u definitely need a compass 😂
