Made this with Pork for Pork Lo Mein. Bought fresh noodles from my local Asian grocery. The first time we made it, it was to sweet. Second time....Reduced the sugar in the sauce to one tsp and used more mushroom (dark) Soy Sauce instead of regular Soy Sauce (less salt). Turned out wonderful! Will definitely made this again. Thanks for the recipe!
Amazing video! Probably the Best Chinese Cooking channel in my opinion. This channel not only shows how to cook like a pro chef, it also gives us tips and tells us why to do certain things (cooking science). Please keep up the great work!!!
these recipes are exactly what I have been looking for! direct from the Chinese restaurant kitchen and the correct look of the items. thanks for sharing! subscribed!
Someone said that he joined a company and makes something different now.. but of course again- they have no evidence. And i think even if this is true- he would have said his viewers that he quits youtube. Very strange... I hope that he is still alive and happy..
Oh my goodness! I made this today and I was blown away by how delicious it was! I expected it to be good, but never expected it to be THAT good. I just finished eating the lo mein and I am still in shock at the amazing flavor. THANK YOU SO MUCH for this recipe! (BTW this was my first time ever making lo mein.)
I am obsessed with this channel. I've tried 8 receipes so far and not one has failed me, family or friends. Thanx...... oh and the ingredient and instruction list is stellar. Thanx again you guys, well done, you!!!
Your tutorial presentation is exceptional, I enjoyed the exquisite piano music, demos on how your cut, mince and julienne veggies, and your repeating the ingredients as you added each one to your recipe. I look forward to watching more of your Art of Cooking recipes. Would you please tell me where to purchase such a knife as you used in this video. Is it a Japanese cleaver? Thank you. I look forward to hearing from you.
Best Chinese cuisine video I have ever seen, wish I had paid attention to the fact that the same bag I had of lo-mein noodles SERVES 40 PEOPLE!!!!!!!!! I have sooo much left over cooked noodles, HOWEVER, THIS WAS THE BEST aSIAN CUISINE VIDEO I HAVE EVER SEEN! Can't wait to compare my general tso's recipe to yours, I have a good pallet, however there are some ingredients I just can't put my finger on....
This comment if four years old and I just saw it and honestly this is a gem 😂😂😂 serves 40 people omg 😂😂 did you ever finish them? can’t wait to try this recipe
I love Ray and Stan :) Everything about this is so satisfying: The music, the mincing & julienning, the tossing in the pan. (Although I highly doubt my process or final product will come out anything like this, it's still a great video.)
Just today I prepared this dish and I have to say it was WONDERFULLY DELICIOUS!!!! It was way better than takeout, and by far better than many lo mein's I've tried before!!!!! thank you!!!!
Love this vid and the char siu. I love Asian food, could eat it everyday and make it often although I am not able to always duplicate. Your instructions are appreciated!
Yum! The sauce part of the recipe is wonderful! I didn't have the dark soy sauce but I don't think it was missed. I added extra ginger and garlic. I used dry sherry for the wine. For the vegetables I added in sea vegetables (Wakame). I also used bok choy and red pepper, a portobello mushroom and added some red onions. For the noodles I used only a half a pound of buckwheat UDON noodles. The ratio of vegetables to noodles was 2 to 1.Oh and I substituted half of a Stevia packet for the sugar. It tastes like something I'd expect to be served in a very upscale restaurant. There is a TON of flavor.
Dr Illuminati If you watch more of his videos, you will learn that his family owns a restaurant and he is one of the chefs. Edit: Updated your username. :)
+SLaRee333 I hope you realize he has sped this video up and he is not really cutting that fast... lol It is a very good knife though, but you can order professional knives anywhere on the internet which are all just as good.
I love😍your detailed instructions. I've been making some of your recipes & my family loves the fact that they taste like restaurant food. Thanks😍😍😘I 👏👏👏 your skills.
So, yes - there is piano music in the background. WHY and HOW would anyone even come to the conclusion-assumption that the pianist would be the same person as the narrator-creator of this tutorial? *mind explodes* 😵😵😵
once again,, a wonderful dinner thanks to you !!! after years of hit and miss on the flavors im so happy my chinese cuisine actually and finally tastes like chinese food
thank u so much,i just migrated from america back to my homeland trinidad and want to get into cooking business, but i want to introduce new things on my menu so i know that your videos would be very helpful. Thanks again.
Excellent demonstration. Now I will try to make my own noodles. I love the way you cut the vegetables especially the green onions. Wow, I learned new things today. I just subscribed.
Y do I have the feeling where I get my lo mein they do not put this much effort into lo mein hell just noodles. Seems like a lot of work for something that's gonna come out of me like a loaf of bread( no regrets eating it tho)
Rayman, I like your videos so much. Learned to cook 鱼香茄子,台湾油鸡. They tasted so good, and literally changed my eating style. It was hard for me to find authentic Chinese food I had to eat microwaved ones. But now I cooked myself according to your recipes. Post more please, especially simple food, not requiring frying.
I watched your video, wrote the recipe and made the recipe today. It turned out very well. Thank you for sharing, I really appreciate it. I've been trying to teach myself how to cook Chinese dishes for many, many years with varying degrees of success. Your explanation in the video was very helpful. I tried your method of mincing. It worked, I just need more practice.
I cooked lomein and fried rice for many years as a younger man. I was lucky enough to get hired in my small town Chinese restaurant. The pay is minimal and you have to work harder than you could possibly imagine. But the experience and knowledge was well worth the 600 dollars a month. Working 10am to 10 PM 6 days a week.
That looks like an amazing dish. Chubby Americans should probably increase the vegetable-to-noodle ratio, but I would even like that better as I LOVE to eat vegetables! Thanks for posting. It's a beautiful video, too.
Your recipes very good I try a lot of them and came perfect what can I use instead oyster sauce I don't like it & can I use White cooking wine with all the recipe you need it
WoW super skills with the cleaver. Wish I could do that... I tried this with another recipe :( ..I can't wait to try your recipe. I love to cook. Once again, thanks for a great video and detailed instructions.
