I just purchased this ICON knife today Saturday May 25th 2024 from HARBOR FREIGHT. To say that I am thoroughly impressed would be an understatement and I am a knife collector. Great video review and thanks for sharing it.
A very solid knife $43.00 and worth every penny.
with a coupon I paid $31
Agreed!
Its funny cause HF does more than people know icon impacts are made by blue point. The quinn ratchets and wrenches are gearwrench or same factory through apex. But people will vuy gearwrench 90t and talk trash about the same tool under another name 😂
Icon flex head ratchet wrenches are the same ones matco sells under their name as well.
Harbor freight has a stigma that it has trouble getting around, but they've got some good stuff now!
Nobody talks about the glass-break tip on the end…
Just got mine, they only had two in stocks. Not with the other knives. Had to ask where it was located.
Nice knife, worth 40 bucks?
I think so.
Have fun...
I agree.. My local HF's have now locked them down because they keep getting stolen, so you have to ask for them. But, I think it's worth the money!
Weight of the knife?
Just over 4 oz.
All indepth comments here are being deleted.. why is that ?
I have no idea... I haven't deleted any comments. In fact, I'm just noticing that I had comments and replying now.
Far higher quality than Civivi.. this is easily worth $150 or so. on par with Todd Beggs SteelCraft Glimpse Quality, if not better. Nears exact clone of the Glimpse.
You’d pay $150 for a D2 blade and G10 scales? That’s overpriced. This knife is worth $70max.
@@UltraMagaFan The Original Todd Beggs SteelCraft Mini Glimpse which was a limited run, now on the secondary market years later can sell between $450 to $650'ish on average. It is near Mid-Tech Quality, with amazing fit and finish and collectors drive up the price these days.
The Beggs mini Glimpse, which is a stolen design marketed by His brothers, sells on average between $70 -$90, and its quality is barely worth 40;ish dollars.
The Icon is amazingly finished, approaching the Original's quality and fit and finish.
I think $40 is a bit high. I might pick one up the next time I get a coupon.
I think that knocks it down to like $32 if I remember right. It's totally worth the $40 IMO though.
Not that I care but it’s a direct ripoff of the Begg mini Glimpse.
I think that was the point. That's why everyone was interested in it, because it's pretty much a clone of that Begg Knives model. I got one just to see what all the fuss was about. It's pretty good for a cheap knife and only 40 bucks. If I wasn't jaded by owning so many great knives, and if I didn't already prefer knives with a minimum of 3.5" long blade, I'd probably be allot more impressed and satisfied with it. As far as how sharp it is, I was actually impressed. It was noticeablely sharper than several well known name brand knives. After I took it apart and lubed it, tuned it, etc, it's got much better action, and almost drop shut. It's got a very good factory edge. It's just too small for me to use as a daily carry. I leave it on my desk and use it to cut stuff there, mostly packages that contain other knives, and other packages I get in the mail, lol. Ergonomics aren't that great for my hand size, at least for what I'm used to. Id say it's a good knife for someone who is new to knives or on a budget. Personally I'll carry one of my Hundreds of Twosun knives before I carried this knife though.😂😂😢😮 😂😂😂
@@MrRoboto1963 yeah, I prefer larger knives. I only have two small ones. A Ferrum forge stinger and a Civivi odium.
I read somewhere begg sold the design
@@MrJbowers29 The Brothers stole the Beggs Company name from Todd Begs.. and hence sell some of the same designs that really belong to Todd.. its' a soap opera
Great quality knife but….. pocket clip is trash.
I dunno, I haven't had any issues yet, but in all honesty, I don't carry it all the time either.
