TOP TIP. As a field technician in another industry I *strongly* recommend that unless you are extremely familiar with the systems, you should either video what you do, or take a picture at EVERY step, including the default settings and codes displayed before and after you input a change. . At very least, you should be able to find and input those defaults if you have a strange response from the vehicle.
I think one should say: 99.9% of all Tesla drivers should stay away from the service mode. You can easily screw up your car and might void your warranty.
I agree with you. Service mode is not something people will need often. It’s more of a FYI just in case something could be covered in here. I will add a note in the description and thanks for your comment.
Very good and informative video. Nice. And yes, for most people, do not go into Service Mode unless you REALLY KNOW what you are doing. One thing you didn't mention is how to check the Battery Health and Degradation. That is one thing that can be very useful both to see how your battery is doing, and also if you wish to sell your Tesla, you can show the test to the potential buyer as proof of how good (or bad?) the battery condition and lifespan is. Cheers
Thanks for your comment ! Right I didn’t include the battery health test and I saw that’s a feature that will need more than 24 hours to complete, will probably shot another video about it 😊
No need to fear it’s called the right to repair. I really appreciate the option is there no need for ecu readers. Works better if ever. But yeah don’t know something learn before trying it be wise.
Simply speaking, when you close your Tesla's door, it will go into a sleep mode for preserving energy, but the car has to be parked at a sleep mode enabled location (like your home, work). Tesla won't get into sleep mode when you enable the sentry mode or checking status from your Tesla APP

I think most should just stay away from the service menu

I fully agree, but some won't.
Wow amazing video.

Agreed
This isn't necessary for anyone except service department, I wouldn't mess with this
Please take note that using remote service log inspection, *EVERY SERVICE MODE ACEESS* and settings or other actions during that mode *CAN BE LOGGED*.

@@EVSlug-Jack There is a scan tool that can do this test in minutes and tell which cells are degrading faster than others and a lot of other info.
Very good video.
Thanks

is there a way to change from round streering wheel to yoke in service mode ?
Did you ever figure this out?
Wondering the same. I’ve swapped mine yoke/round but would like the system icons to recognize it. 🙏🏼
@@imikeyb2 soft reset with the scroll wheels
You also need TESLA Tool BOX 3
I want to ask you about if you know something about slepp mode that happens in my car every time i close it?

Video gets really dark partway through?
Sinister plot?
Yeah sorry the second half was recorded in the evening so it got into the dark mode
Thank you.
I wonder when will we have he Tesla boot unlock and/or jailbrake :) it is just calling for it.
Ok but how do you EXIT service mode?
There is a very obvious red button called “Exit Service mode”. If you tap and hold it, it will exit service mode
Not necessary for anyone except service department
Did not hear the password
It's lowercase "service". I also added it to the description
satan . lower case
literally most pointless video i've watched
