Oh how this warms my heart. The bluetstar family has always been my favorite, since Bluestars prophecy was my first warriors book ever it has special place in my heart. When she gave away her kittens it made me realize that whitestorm was that void fill for her as her sisters son was the last bit of family she had next to her. (Not counting her father)
i mean, technically stormtail wasn't much of a father to either of them. he barely cared at all and threw moonflower to the side as soon as she had his kits to instead chase after the apprentice/young warrior dappletail. i do really love this animation and i deep inside would've hoped they explored this mother-son relationship between bluestar and whitestorm more.
Sunstar was really close to her as a father. He took care of her when her mother died, and he was the father-figure to bluefur (star). I can't even descripe how terrible bluestar felt when he died. Atleast whitestorm was with her till death though.

His entire story was shown in Bluestar's Prophecy and TNP, his character arc (as a background/supporting character, that is) is complete, and there's next to no information we don't know about him. I'm not saying I wouldn't love a book about Whitestorm, but knowing all we do about him, it near-definitely won't happen.

Honestly now come to think of it, i wonder what Bluestar felt (if she ever did) when she saw how Thistleclaw turned Tigerclaw and thought of the possibility of Tigerclaw being Whitestorm if she gave up on him. Did Thistleclaw see Tigerclaw as his son because of that similarity? Did Whitestorm realise the same thing when he got older and saw how Tigerclaw has become and because of Thistleclaw? How would Whitestorm feel about his father if he realised that? Now this gives possibilities to AUs, where Whitestorm and Tigerclaw are switched up. Tigerclaw getting guided by Bluestar and Whitestorm raised by Thistleclaw. I want to see this happen if it hasn't been made already

The thing that i dont like about super editions that happen in the past is that some cats can have such a good connection in the super edition, but in the main series, they rarely even interact. I wouldve loved seeing more whitestorm and bluestar interaction :(
