I’m trying to study cats more while keeping true to my style, so these tips are really helpful! They also don’t feel forced. I also like how you pointed out tracing and how it’s okay as a practice method. I wish more artists spoke up about that, while also mentioning that tracing someone else’s work and claiming it as their own should not be done. This was overall informative and helpful. :)
this is probably the best tutorial I’ve looked at in a while. it really defines the anatomy not just saying, oh trace this trace that and soon you’ll get it. it helped me understand how they move and so on. thanks!
This is a great tutorial and I have faith in it helping me, just to add to some people aiming for more realistic eyes, the iris will always be black without a pupil(unless there is light involved like how Siamese cats get red iris when there light) and the Sclera will be colored, not the other way around. But besides that this is a great tutorial you've made!
Now I wish i didn't have shaky hands when it comes to drawing. Maybe i can try with my sketch book. 😃 Edit: I've done it on my tablet and darn, I never expected learning from refs can be so satisfying.... I love making shapes. XD
Tysm for this tutorial! This has been so helpful to my animating recently! I did have one question though, how do I hook up with different animators? Is there an app or do I just… idk? Anyways, have a good day/night!
im glad I could give some helpful insight! im sorry for the question, but im half asleep and need better explaining to haha. by your question do you mean getting in contact/connecting with other animators?
@@dimehaze7274 I’m also half asleep lol Yes, I mean getting in contact with other animators and how to send animations to them without a phone number. For example if they were someone I didn’t know.
@@Your_LocalVibez well, a lot of artists and animators online have social medias like twitter and instagram. Those are the main two platforms where you can share art/animations and talk to other creators on if you need to!
What app is this and is it mobile or do you need a pc/computer or loptop Edit: also what helps me is thinking that “ cats have many different poses so if I don’t get the right pose most likely a cat can do the pose if it’s close to the one I want “
@@dimehaze7274 Oh thx! Can a drawing tablet connect to an iPad, though? Or can it only connect to computers? I want to try digital art, but I’m not sure I can. The pen seems to glide across the screen too smoothly to get comfortable with drawing :/
@@Luna_Pearlwolf123 unfortunately most tablets do not connect to ipad, athough there are graphic drawing tablets that are similar to an ipad where you draw straight on the screen!
@@dimehaze7274 Ohh! Can I upload/download what I’ve drawn to my phone or iPad? And is animating possible on a drawing tablet or do I have to do the animation part on my iPad? And also which one do you use? The simple one or the tablet that lets you draw straight on the screen? (Sorry for all the questions xD)
1:00 for full body anatomy!
4:48 for references & tracing
6:58 paws
9:25 for eyes!
11:56 for nose and ears
13:51 for fur
Hope this helped
