Ye i do only have two tuts right now but I plan on making a part two to this which covers a bunch of diffrent fur types. I'll possibly also do facial expressions and muzzles in the future

This can def be translated pretty easy for traditional art. You just have to consider the whites before any other colors since the paper is white Even with digital you don't *have* to use layers. Id just do the base color, leaving the white areas uncolored, and then putting the stripes ontop
You helped me figure out how I like to draw fur, it looks a lot like yours except, not, idk whatever point is you're the reason I can draw my OCs and like it : - D

Sorry I'm not gonna be much help, this is the same version of SAI I've had for 10 years and it's the default brush that comes with it Idk if there's a downloadable version of it but you might have luck finding other cool round brushes if you look up free starter brush packs for SAI

I use paint tool SAI. And to reiterate, tracing is only meant to learn from and shouldn't be relied on for creating shared works of art. Learning from tracing shapes from real life cats helps build the skills to eventually draw without tracing! I may be misunderstanding your comment but plz don't trace actual art, only photos of real life animals
Actually i only learned who gray pillow is recently due (literally like a day ago lmao). My inspiration came from several diffrent artists, starting with Spottedfire in 2012ish, ginganinjaowo in 2015ish, and more recently Noodlers and several others
