Why won't it work with the R10? I'm a long time Canon snob and have really wanted to get into 3D photography/videography but Canon's approach has been less than compelling; their first foray into a dual-lens product only worked with one body, and on top of that the Canon app needed to unpack the footage required a subscription! 🤣 As though paying $2000 for glass wasn't enough, they made you pay for the required app on a monthly basis. The follow up lens ($1100) still only works with one body, and now this "entry level" glass...you guessed it, only compatible with one body. So basically with my collection of an R5ii, R10, (2) 5Dii, and a 7D I still can't get a 3D lens from Canon. 🤣
I just bought a Canon r7 and this 7.8mm dual lens. I couldn't make it work yet. The plugin for Adobe PremierPro does not recognize the file format. The stand-alone VR software doesn't do anything to the file. I couldn't figure out either way. There is next to zero documentation on how to make this work. Could you please prepare a tutorial or point me in a direction? Thank you
Hi Kaya, We’re sorry you’re having trouble getting up and running. A couple of items to note. You will want to make sure that your EOS R7 is using firmware version 1.5.0 or higher. Secondly, both the EOS VR Utility and the EOS VR Plug-in require the purchase of a subscription for full functionality. Our camera support team is happy to help you with any specific questions. Canon, you do not have 1 regular prime lens - not 1! - designed for your APS-C camera system (SIGMA has now some) and now you come out with this super niche specialized RF-S lens...???? What about the same lens but not with dual optics? Fujifilm has a 8 mm prime...What about a RF-S pancake lens? I am sure your old EF 24 and 40 mm and EF-M 22 mm were selling very well...And what about an RF-S macro lens? Your first and only RF real 1:1 macro lens is the 100/2.8 at $ 1.200...Or you want to push full frame? Then be different and unique and give us a fully revised and modern technology RP under $ 1.000!!! The RP was the cheapest ever FF camera once...That was amazing!...Is the RP dead? Can we have a modern RP with a modern censor (not the old 6D censor) and tech and cheap? That will be a never seen! Best, Olivier Mannie, Belgium
Finally, affordable VR production for adult entertainment.
This is very nice lens, but currently it’s only for R7, right? Which cameras will also be compatible in the future? R10 or even R5 in crop mode?
Now add r50 support
We need one for full frame now please canon.
Hi, do you plan to extend compatibility of the RF-S7.8mm f/4 STM Dual to the Canon R5C ? Are there some sample footage available to download ?

You gotta focus more on the full frame because the APS-C is just competing with a new iPhone with dual lens arrangement.
please add compatibility with Gyroflow and davinci resolve (for VR and for gyroscope)
Do have to attach to only canon cameras

Such an effort for a minimal parallax and depth result
cool
