I cannot get my buttons mapped properly. If player one is correct, player 2's buttons go back to default and vice versa. What am I doing wrong? I did exactly what you say in the video.
I’ve had issues with this every once in awhile. Basically map player 1 with just player 1 side plugged in, then plug player 2 into the arcade box and map player 2. Go into a mortal Kombat game and make sure on the character select screen player 1 creates the green square highlighted box over the characters. Then click start on player 2 and make sure player 2 is the red highlight box over the characters. Test the game and make sure buttons work. After playing the game exit to the main menu and shut down the system. Turn it back on, go back into moral Kombat and make sure player 1 hasn’t swapped to player 2. You will know if the buttons swapped if player 2 is now the green highlight over the characters. If this happens exit the game and swap ports on the arcade box and remap the controls for player 1 then plug player 2 into the other port and remap. Test the game again and then exit and turn off system. Turn back on and go to mortal Kombat again and if player 1 is green, the problem should be solved.

So I had an question how would I switch the game such as tmnt 1up arcade into gauntlet I just want the one game? Would it be possible because it has the same amount of buttons?
Hi Greg, I modded my MKII cab with this arcade box but somehow I mess up the button setting on the gamepad, is there a way to reset the arcade box gamepad setting? I also done the control panel with the usb encoder but still have trouble mapping the button.
If you mess up, you need to plug a controller in that came with the arcade box. The controller is already mapped. Use that to hit start at the main menu and go to controller settings and then configure a controller. Once you get there, unplug the controller and plug in the left side arcade controls. Map the buttons then plug in the right side arcade controls and map them. A good way to make sure the controls are correct is to play mortal Kombat. If player 1 is the left side and player 2 the right, you did it right. If they are backwards, swap USB ports on the arcade box but you have to set the controls all over again one at a time. Gamepad1 needs to be on the left and gamepad2 needs to be on the right. Hope that helps
Use any mortal Kombat game to make sure player 1 and 2 are in the correct ports on the arcade box. When you enter the game, player 1 should be green highlighted box over characters and player 2 should be red. If they are backwards turn arcade box off and swap ports
Also when i do controller 1 i know you said disconnect player 2 so when i do player 2 do i need to disconnect player one ? Or no ? And for display , couldnt you do the advanced setting for full display. At the all games tab instead of systems one by one ?
Yes you can full screen that way and sometimes player 1 and 2 get swapped so to test that player 1 and player 2 are correct, play mortal Kombat and it will show which controller is player 1 and 2. The. Turn game off and play again and make sure it’s actually player 1 and 2 by playing mortal Kombat again. If backwards switch them.
I tried this with a similar box. Same as you the 16:9 worked great on the 4:3 screen with games like mortal combat and other “horizontal” games. Can this be done on a nba jam 3/4 arcade not sure what gen but I do know it has wifi but no lighted buttons? Its still new in box got it on clearance last year and waiting to put it together after I make room in the garage.
I don’t use the magic sticks for this method. You would only need the magic stick when using the switch fighting stick. I stopped using the switch fighting stick method because the firmware has changed on some of the magic sticks making that method not work anymore. Unless you bought the old version of the magic sticks before they updated the firmware, it will probably not work and you will need to buy the button kit and change out the buttons on the switch fighting stick.
ruclips.net/video/ekqL9wWkdbI/видео.html If you already bought a switch fighting stick, upgrade it like I did in this video with a button kit. It will give you better buttons, it’s easy, the joysticks will work better, and you don’t need the magic sticks anymore.
Yes, in order to connect it to the arcade box with all the games. Honestly it’s so easy. I’ve done it so many times at this point. You don’t need to drill all the extra holes. I recommend doing at least one extra hole for each side for start and select but having two extra per side is even better.
This mod is just silly I've seen it done a few times so let me save you all some time. This mod requires you remove everything except the monitor so don't use the stock monitor replace it with tv with HDMI and a audio output then you can put anything in it like Xbox PS5 a PC and you can download the firmware for that box you bought and put it on any old computer
A USB hub will work with 4 controllers on the Acade box so I would guess it is possible. I've tested and played with 4 players using a usb hub and four hand held controllers, so why not?
I followed this video step by step and when I turned it on everything lit up and the screen comes on but just remains black. Any idea what that can be?
Possible ground issue, or wrong video/display card for whatever cab you are using. Also one time I accidentally pulled the chord out from the actual LCD board inside it and couldn’t figure out the problem. I had to remove the whole tv and discovered the chord came lose when I was plugging it into the video card.
I am using the same one in this video. The mortal kombat cab. I do see a wire coming out of the screen in the back which is not connected to anything. I am not sure where to plug it into.
Which model of arcade do you have? Did you hook up the ground? And did you order the correct hdmi converter board for your screen. There are different hdmi converter boards specific to certain screens/models. Make sure you plugged the cord from the screen into the board the correct way. Also make sure you didn’t pull too hard on the cord when plugging it in as it can unplug from the actual Arcade1up screen. I accidentally pulled too hard once on mine, hooked it all up and had the same problem. Had to remove the screen from the Arcade1up and plug it back in.
It’s the wires on the back of lcd screen panel. There’s a ground wired, power, and a wire that plugs into the pins on the hdmi converter board. The one that plugs into the pins on the converter board can come unplugged very easily from up inside the metal panel of the screen if pulled on too hard. If that happens you need to remove the screen and metal panel to plug it back in.
Thanks I will try to take it apart and check it out..I thought the board was the correct one but I will make sure as well..I have the street fighter anniversary addition...
@@tiny683 ok let me know which board you ordered and also if you can, send me the numbers on the back of your lcd screen inside the cab. Should be a sticker with a model number. Then I can make sure you have the right board.
Somebody help, when I try to turn it on the screen turns white for a few seconds then goes to black, all the buttons are lit up but the screen won’t work
Sounds like a connection issue with your hdmi converter board. Make sure you have it installed properly, good ground, all cords are hooked in properly then make sure you didn’t pull too hard on the cord that connects to the pins on the board. A lot of people pull that cord to hard and it unplugs from inside the metal panel of the lcd screen. If that happened you have to take remove that metal panel and plug that cord back in. Next make sure you have a good hdmi cord.
@@oofer2028 ok I’ve modded that machine a lot, let me know how it goes. Also the cord that plugs into pins on hdmi board has to be plugged in the correct way on the board. Let me know if you get it working or need help

Either the wrong board for what model arcade you have; or a wire got pulled too hard from the monitor and disconnected. Both problems have happened to me. Once I pulled the wires too hard connecting to the pcb board and it was enough to unplug it from inside the monitor. Had to open the monitor and re plug it in.
if you are doing the arcade box, try plugging into a tv or monitor and use the wifi game pad that usually come with your arcade box, get familar with it first, make sure everything is working before you plug in your control box, one you plug in the control box. do your button setup just as Greg's video. you can use one wifi remote in one USB and the encoder in the second USB. use you wifi remote pad to back up and select to get you out of setup if you get in trouble.
I like how you actually went over the hardest part IMO, which was the buttons with the encoders. The other videos just glossed over them or just showed the drill bit parts.

@@Oracle_insight boots up but before loading all the emulators it green screens ordered a new arcade box under then warranty so hopefully it’s just the box it’s self
@@IzaacLujan yeah I’ve never had one do that
Arcade box isn’t available wired (your link). Do you have another link and/or do you sell ones?
I have the blitz machine is there any type of joystick board I need to order because it only has three buttons
You can drill holes for more buttons. Also is that 4 player?
@@Oracle_insight yes
@@elijahwildhorse6735 the arcade box only has two usb ports for two players. Not sure if there’s an extension to add 4 player or if that would even work.
My Arcade Box is not showing the Video game preview in The Game List
Somebody help me please
Can this be done on a nba jam 3/4 arcade not sure what gen but I do know it has wifi but no lighted buttons? Its still new in box got it on clearance last year and waiting to put it together after I make room in the garage.
I’ve not tried it on one of those yet. It all depends on the monitor if you can connect an hdmi video card to it.
Please need help. Want to play. I get all the way and pick a game. Then it says my magic stick is not configured. But it worked for everything else
I don’t use the magic sticks for this method. You would only need the magic stick when using the switch fighting stick. I stopped using the switch fighting stick method because the firmware has changed on some of the magic sticks making that method not work anymore. Unless you bought the old version of the magic sticks before they updated the firmware, it will probably not work and you will need to buy the button kit and change out the buttons on the switch fighting stick.
ruclips.net/video/ekqL9wWkdbI/видео.html
If you already bought a switch fighting stick, upgrade it like I did in this video with a button kit. It will give you better buttons, it’s easy, the joysticks will work better, and you don’t need the magic sticks anymore.
Can this mod be done on my TMNT cabinet I want a 4 player mod??? Please help
Haven’t tried it, yet, the arcade box only has 2 USB ports so you would need 4 to plug into a 4 player arcade machine
Do these games already on the arcade box? Or do you need to download? How do you know what Generation is the Arcade1up?? ? Help someone? S.O.S
Comes with the games on it and which arcade 1up do you have?
How's the latency compared to the original Arcade1up built in MK?
Must the buttons be changed?
Yes, in order to connect it to the arcade box with all the games. Honestly it’s so easy. I’ve done it so many times at this point. You don’t need to drill all the extra holes. I recommend doing at least one extra hole for each side for start and select but having two extra per side is even better.
When modified, do u lose the original game(s) that came on the Arcade 1up?
The arcade box should have all the original games on it
This mod is just silly I've seen it done a few times so let me save you all some time. This mod requires you remove everything except the monitor so don't use the stock monitor replace it with tv with HDMI and a audio output then you can put anything in it like Xbox PS5 a PC and you can download the firmware for that box you bought and put it on any old computer
is it necessary to remove buttons and joystick?
Yes
LoL that button layout
Will this work on mvc2 arcade1up cabinet
Haven’t tried but it should; if it’s a gen 3 model, you will need the gen 3 lcd video card
Why do I need to remap the controls why can’t I just use the originals
Will it work on a 4 player arcade1up like the simpsons?
I don’t think so
A USB hub will work with 4 controllers on the Acade box so I would guess it is possible.
I did this step by step but screen shows nothing idk what happend no sparks or anything just screen no picture just grey
Will this work with the Capcom Legacy Arcade 1 up?
Yes but you'll have to get a different lcd board because it has a different monitor
Didn't ever figure it out. I'm in the process of missing mine today and it's good except the buttons and joystick all f'ed up now
How do we know gen is our machine ?
Ok, i watched the entire video and i want to give this a try. I have a killer instinct cabinet, do you know what HDMI LCD board should i use ?
Does this have Atari games?
Yes
Other problem can be the wrong hdmi converter board with the Arcade1up you have. Which model arcade are you using?
I’m using the street fighter 2 champ edition , trying to see right now if I can fix anything
@@oofer2028 ok I’ve modded that machine a lot, let me know how it goes. Also the cord that plugs into pins on hdmi board has to be plugged in the correct way on the board. Let me know if you get it working or need help
Hey, I have a gen 1/2 board and gen 3 board, when I use the gen 1/2 board the green light on the lcd thing turns green and goes to red very fast, screen stays black, but when I use my gen 3 board the light stays green and screen is stuck on white
I got a no signal then screen went black
Either the wrong board for what model arcade you have; or a wire got pulled too hard from the monitor and disconnected. Both problems have happened to me. Once I pulled the wires too hard connecting to the pcb board and it was enough to unplug it from inside the monitor. Had to open the monitor and re plug it in.
Thank you that worked I got it going 🙂 do you know how to add more games I want to add jaguar games if they will run on it thank you again
Looks nice but a little complicated 😬
It is tricky but once u try and get going it gets easier , he explained it well tho
I still can’t get it to work..
if you are doing the arcade box, try plugging into a tv or monitor and use the wifi game pad that usually come with your arcade box, get familar with it first, make sure everything is working before you plug in your control box, one you plug in the control box. do your button setup just as Greg's video. you can use one wifi remote in one USB and the encoder in the second USB. use you wifi remote pad to back up and select to get you out of setup if you get in trouble.
Alls
It just looks like you’ve ruined it imo
Wel luckily you don’t own or have to play it, right!?
@@Oracle_insight definitely!
ugliest buttons possible though lol
This was actually for a client, and this is how they wanted it
