Definitely the perfect bike for my wife and I to cruise around on. I rode one several years ago and loved it! Hope to get back on one someday! Nice review, sir!
The perfect every day bike. It’s good at everything you would want a road bike to do. You get cruiser comfort, sport bike engine performance amazing style and with an after market exhaust it sounds amazing. It’s the Porsche 911 turbo of bikes because it’s usability comforting performance. You will do 0-100 faster than most sport bikes and can cruise comfortably with all th safety features like wheelie control, ABS and riding modes for different conditions. It’s the bike for adults who also want performance.
Good review and interesting to hear coming from a sports bike rider. I own this bike (also in red) but I have the Termignoni exhaust which makes the bike sound like a NASCAR. If you put it into Urban mode, the choppiness disappears. A black bike, all stealthy, sounds like a great idea on paper but when you see the red bike in person, it really stands out and screams "Ducati", the black bike on the other hand is easy to miss and looks smaller and always dirty.
Thank you for your kind words. I wish I would have had the opportunity to hear it with the Termi. And you are so right. For me, a Ducati has to be red. That's why I picked the red 959 Panigale as my own bike over the the white version
There is not a better looking bike on the market in my humble opinion. I’d get a different color though I’m not a fan of the red. The brushed metal on the 2022 1260S looks amazing withe the black and yellow accents.
I'm totally with you. It's just quite annoying on the Diavel as it happens constantly while cruising as the valves open right above normal crusing RPMs. So it's on, off, on, off ... all the time
It depends on what kind of riding you do as the bikes are totally different in their riding style. The Ducati is much more powerful than the z900 and the seating position isn't comparable. Best thing to do is to go for a test ride at your local Ducati dealer and see if you like it. It's definetely a fun though :-)
Disagree about the exhaust. Would hate to have you as my neighbor! I like being able to have my bike quiet, so when I drive into where I live I do not wake up babies and make my neighbors hate me as an aXs. But having it start to scream at high revs is great. So, I take a quiet exhaust to be nice to my neighbors - you should think about that.

An exhaust that's quiet until I rev it is what I want ...

No different on urban mode ?
I am thinking changing my z900 for this. Do you think it makes sense?

Thank you!
Ducati Diavel 1260s exhaust sound is very noisy 😭😭
