Despite what you may think about #Mitsubishi as a brand. Sales are up in America and what has saved the company over the years are crossovers. Unfortunately for enthusiasts, performance cars have been gone since 2015 and while the 2019 #EclipseCross brings back a name that we haven't seen since 2012 this is not the same #Eclipse coupe that you may remember from The Fast & Furious movies. Reborn as a 5-seater crossover SUV with a coupe-like roofline, the all-new Eclipse Cross slots between the Outlander Sport and Outlander and is powered by a new 1.5L turbocharged engine under styling elements that will remind you of the old Pontiac Aztec.

Honestly, as much as we crap on Mitsubishi, they do things right and we should give them credit for it. I mean the best thing about their vehicles is simplicity. No other manufacturer does new car old like Mitsubishi does, and while they are dated, you can't deny how easy it is to use. They're not hiding anything with this vehicles, it's just no BS, and simplicity at its finest. Also, the reliability and warranty is really good. I think Mitsubishi has the best warranty for really any vehicle.

I just purchased my brand new 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SEL with Touring Package and S-AWC and got $6,700.00 off the MSRP. Well we actually bought 2, one in Octane Blue and one in Red Diamond in identical SEL trims with the Touring Package! It reminds me of a Volvo XC 40 and a Pontiac Aztek in the rear and I like the styling of both vehicles so I love it and it is unmistakable in its design! I always loved the Aztek back in the day because it was totally unique and not all over the road. Plus the rear led signature of the parking lights in the Eclipse Cross is so unique and looks amazing and I love how they hid the rear wiper up under the rear roof spoiler to avoid ice and snow building up on it. Also the rear styling aids visibility in my opinion giving a much larger glass area. One thing my salesman said his customers all say is that at night they love how the rear led bar that splits the rear window directly lines up with and blocks the headlights of cars behind you from blinding you and by dang it sure does on 75% of vehicles, really neat.
I have been averaging about 26-27 mpg in mixed so beating the numbers and it does a lil better than our 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport GT AWC on fuel that we traded on the Red Eclipse Cross. Now the 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 SE that we traded on the Blue Eclipse Cross blew them both out of the water on MPGs but it was a 3 cylinder with 78 horsepower but it was a great little car and my second Mirage as I owned a 2015 before it lol. But we are very pleased with the Eclipse Cross and the features are awesome and it is truly loaded! Everything is very easy to work. I never thought I would use the touch pad but after 2 days its a breeze to use and works very easily. You can adjust the sensitivity to it also. The styling of the CUV gains lots of looks and questions and attracts people asking to look inside it and once they so they all very impressed. One thing it does have is great power or should I say torque. This thing is very zippy and can really take off with very little turbo lag. I was shocked with only a 150 some horsepower but dang its zippy. The CVT is very smooth and refined and the Eclipse Cross just has an effortless drive to it cruising so smooth and quiet and that 184 lb ft of torque really makes city driving fun especially on take off. The interior is a step above the competition in my opinion with super comfortable seats, expensive unique looking materials, fully padded soft touch dash, upper doors and arm rest. I have had no creaks or rattles at all and it has been chilly the last few days. The heated steering wheel works great even with my steering wheel cover on. Its just a very comfortable small suv that is truly loaded.
Features galore! I love the dual sunroofs, heated front and rear seats and steering wheel, heads up display, surround view camera and multiple views to choose from, and the radar cruise worked flawlessly on the 1.5 hr drive home at 70 mph and rush hour traffic stop and go. I love how the trim we purchased has all the safety features and the led headlights in this car are like wow you can see everything and you can adjust them. The auto high beams are a really cool feature. I will mention again the seats in this thing are so comfortable and they just hug you and are soft and long distance comfortable and I am just shy of 6ft. The smaller cargo area does not bother me at all as I purchased this suv more on the styling and Mitsubishi reliability than anything. But you can slide the rear seats forward to expand your cargo but even before doing that it has 22 cubic ft which is great to me. We have always loved our Mitsubishis and the Eclipse Cross is our favorite to date and wow Mitsubishi you sure nailed it as I cannot say there is anything I dont like inside, outside, or the way it drives. I just really am impressed and love this vehicle and to get it for over $6,000.00 less than MSRP just sweetens the deal. I understand most (not all) people who buy this suv do so solely on the looks and that is why we got our 2 SELs with Touring Package So we got every feature and the 2 sunroofs. It truly is loaded.
The Mitsubishi Connect app on our iPhones (7 Plus and X) has worked amazing also and we have used it more than 10 times each to start and shut off our Eclipse Crosses, turn lights on and off, adjust the interior temp, and there are dozens of preferences and features you can adjust in the vehicle with the app. Plus it has the sos feature if the air bags deploy and stolen vehicle assist. I called the call center with the black call button and she went over everything it does and can do. So cool. Free for 2 years which is awesome and runs about $12.00 to $19.00 a month after that depending on the package you pick, which I will gladly pay the $19.00 after 2 years its well worth it.
So we are very happy with our 2 Eclipse Crosses and the amazing deal we got at Renn Kirby Mitsubishi from Tommy Moberly and Brendan (Juice). We tend to trade up about every 3 years and this is by far the most favorite vehicle I have owned to date. It is also a IIHS Top Safety Pick and you can tell it is a heavy SUV for its size which helps make it feel so planted and strong on the road yet the small turbo pulls this thing with amazing bursts of power when you push it, it really is fun!
In the end paying $26,000.00 for a top trim sel with the touring package and s-awc was a steal and far beats the competitors pricing. This vehicle is for a unique audience and you either like it or you dont. I do! Great job Mitsubishi.
    Thanks Mitsubishi!

I would agree It's interesting to see Mitsubishi fighting for survival but in that same sense you can understand why they'd try using such a known name in their effort to stay relevant in the market. I'm not too familiar with Mitsubishi's reliability but i can see a lot of forward thinking with this car which is promising and refreshing. My greatest dislike is the front end. Looks too much boot-leg Lexus. Almost like they built it to be like a Lexus but the other kid in the class copied you and turned in their work first so you have to change yours a little bit... but it ends up worse. I'd like to see Mitsubishi do something like incorporating their logo into the grille sort of like Chevy does with the "flow-tie"

This is one of the worst products I've seen on the market. Every other manufacturer offers more features, standard features, cheaper, crossover options. This quality reminds me of the 2013 lancer. And if you think this is good quality than you must have lower standards. Take a look at mazda/toyota same price and a lot more bang for your buck

It is worth noting that Mitsubishi sales in the U.S. are up year over year for some time now.
It is also worth noting that they reported their best March sales (March 2019) since 2004.
And are now selling more vehicles each month than such nameplates as Chrysler and Audi and
were just 6000 cars under Mazda the past month.
Scoff at their game plan if you want, but people like affordable, reliable SUV's with long warranties.
In northern climates the really good all wheel drive found on Mitsubishi's is a good selling point.
Their plan is working and as part of the Nissan/Mitsubishi/Renault alliance, it makes them part
of one of the top three largest car companies in the world.
    They are not going anywhere.

We love our 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport GT AWC with the 2.4L 168 hrsp engine. Its been a great car and has sharp looks and is loaded with all the options and accessory packages Mitsubishi offered which is what we wanted and had to search to find ours that way. I really like the look of the new Eclipse Cross inside and out I like everything about it. I personally would rather have the 2.4al engine as its time tested and proven very reliable. Time will tell if this 1.5al tubro will be reliable.
We have also owned a 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage ES with Nav and Back Up Camera and the Appearance Package. We had it 2 years and it was such a good littke car we traded it on the updated 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 SE in Wine Red with Light Gray Interior. We have had the G4 now for 1 year and 8 months and its a great little car and the updates made it a much better little car over my 2015 Mirage. We have had our Outlander Sport just over 2 years now. All of our Mitsubishis have been such great cars and now 7 of us at my work TWR Communications drive new Mitsubishis (2016-2018) because they liked our 2.
We previously had always bought new Hyundais and Kias every few years but when we were very unimpressed with our 2013 Hyundai Elantra we made the switch to Mitsubishi and aim wo glad we did. I will only buy Mitsubishi now. My 2017 Mirage G4 SE (top trim) stickered for $18,115.00 and I got it for $12,714.00 and our 2016 Outlander Sport GT AWC with $5,000.00 in options and accessories stickered for $32,940.00 and we got its for under $27,000.00. You cant beat the deals with Mitsubishi and believe me we crossed shopped and at we got for our money could not be beat. Mitsubishis are very reliable for the most part.

In 2008, I bought a new Outlander SE. NEVER owned a Mitsubishi, but really liked it. To my surprise, it's been THE MOST RELIABLE CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED!! 10 years and 140.000 miles, the only repair it's ever needed is the ac blower motor. Out the door dealer repair, less than 250.00 dollars. That's it. And the paint on the entire car still looks like new. And it never been garaged.i see tons of 6 and 7 year old cars with their clear coats all crystalized and looking like hell.

I got my new 2019 Cross .. and I am in love with it. I don't have to struggle getting out of my X-2006 eclipse coupe .. it's fun to drive and it's cleaner for the atmosphere. I think the negative reviews are from ppl who aren't driving the cross .. It's completely loaded and comfortable to drive. Thank you Jeff Dambrosio on my new purchase! : ))
