    Mitsus aren't so well known in North America but in Asia they're everywhere and are revered for being extremely reliable and durable. Their trucks and commercial vehicles are especially known for having unbreakable engines and powertrains.

      your very right, but most asian countries also got better model mitsu's then the north american market. Toyota and mitsu's are the best when it comes to utilitarian and light off road vehicles.

    Wow I love this vehicle. We love our Mitsubishi vehicles, reliable, feature packed, great warranty and just good cars! We own a 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 SE (top trim) and a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport GT 4x4 (top trim) and they are both awesome!
    Great work Mitsubishi what a sharp vehicles! I would also agree it reminded me of the Lexus NX inside and out first time I saw it online months ago!

      A S I really like the Lancers! I just sat in a 2017 Lancer over at Five Star Mitsubishi and I really like them! Yes they are a super reliable car and ai hate they are stopping making them. I will only buy Mitsubishi. Im with you I don’t get why people hate them because their owners love them.

      K McKenzie This is my first brand new car . Ok material inside could be more sharp, but not a biggie. I have People who are happy when I go pull in line at car wash, grocery store , mall , etc . Perplexed because I had no knowledge before about the company . You would have thought I had a red Corvette. Also was Sad about its extinction.

    Bought the Cross a month ago and loving it. The Aztec did not have a light that split the back windows. In actuality the Aztec was considered ugly mainly due to the front end, and heavily used grey plastic molding all around.

    The fact that the engine also has sequential port injection and direct injection shouldn't be overlooked either: sequential port injection helps the engine run better at startup and idling, and it has the added benefit of washing away the carbon build-up around the valves, which should prevent a very expensive maintenance of carbon removal around the intake valves.

    • @taichiforever5712
      @taichiforever5712 4 года назад +3

      Yes!! Finally someone smart enough to understand Mitsubishi's engineering know-how! This and the warranty should be your main incentives to buy. Get over the back window and move on! Nothing to see there people!!

  • @itamaldonado7670
    @itamaldonado7670 6 лет назад +1

    I bought it. He failed to mention that you have up and down volume buttons on the screen and on the steering wheels. You won't miss the volume knob. There are many other features not mentioned that my car does have like rear view and front cameras. Blind spot on side mirrors. Lane departure warning. The back seats could slide back just like the front seats for more room. So much more.

  • @FoodyTunes
    @FoodyTunes 6 лет назад +13

    This is the first Mitsubishi where I think the front end styling is well executed and the design looks good. The rear, is 2017 Aztek.

    One has to realize that Mitsubishi is producing cars (the same ones) for the world market and there is a world outside North America, where their cars are doing well.
    Here clearly the "give me more power" is the dominant attitude as elsewhere the value for the money wins. Here are some proofs.
    Mitsubishi ASX is the second best selling CUV in Australia behind the CX-3 despite being the oldest model (2010-).
    www.drive.com.au/new-car-rev...all-suv--64925
    It gets the #6 position if it is included to the larger models (with the likes of CX-5, Tucson an X-Trail (Rogue)) beating the Subaru Forester and H-RV.
    www.fleetplus.com.au/news-an...t-selling-suvs
    The MItsubishi Outlander PHEV was the most popular plug-in hybrid car (all categories) in the UK:
    insideevs.com/mitsubishi-out...nissan-leaf-2/
    www.am-online.com/news/2015/...vehicle/38019/
    www.business-times.co.uk/arti...plug-in-hybrid
    For the record, the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is a ~10 s car, when it comes to 0-60.
    insideevs.com/mitsubishi-imp...utlander-phev/
    Do you ranters all think that the rest of the world is full with idiots and only people in North America are smart enough to realize that Mitsubishi cars are junk?
    This car will do well in the world market.
    For the record, I do not work for Mitsubishi but own one.

      Totally agree. Mitsubishi is making a lot of good vehicles and this might be their first great one sine the 3000gt. We test drove lots of competitors and the Cross is by far the nicest of them all and just an outstanding sexy looking one as well.

      Very well said! From many years of Toyota, I switched to Mitsubishi about 15 years ago. In my experience Mitsubishi is more reliable at a much better price. I have been extremely pleased with our Delica, Pajero, and Outlander. Mitsubishi also makes very nice airplanes!

  • @ydmf2

  • @pack13sheet

    Been test driving vehicles for 4 months... Purchased it on GT trim last April, interior was the best among its class in my opinion ( next is CX5)... interior design is like what the review says- close to NX including the quality of material used... road noise and wind noise is kept to minimal... my only concern is that the glove box doesn't have lights and no power tail gate... so far my wife and I are so happy... backed with 10 years warranty with road side assistance for free...

    No powered tailgate? Are you not strong enough to open one yourself? We have bodies that are made to perform tasks. If everything is automatic, what will that do to your health? Are we going to evolve into spineless slugs with no muscles or ability to do anything for ourselves? If you do not use your muscles, you will lose your muscles.

    Well we should give Mitsu some credit here. All their products have looked one to three generations behind other designs on the road for a long, long time now, so even if it's not the prettiest (like, say, the Mazda), this is at least up to date, and the interior looks nice. A class above? When was the last time you heard that for a Mitsu product?! So, well done. Maybe they'll actually be able to increase their sales with this thing.

      in 2014 mitsubishi was about to go bankrupt in the states. but they decided to push thru for at least a few more years, and I'm glad they did. There's no such thing as a great car with an anemic engine... crappy engine kills any value this car might have had... I mean lets be honest, a car only has one job, to get you from point-A to point-B and the engine is far more important than hidden wipers and touch screen volume controls.

    Like the Vitara. It's target market are mostly for millennials. Old people won't appreciate this kind of design and seeks more on comfort and functionality. As we grow, our taste changes. Just part of life. It's approx price would be 21 grand, really cheap to be honest. Looking forward to it while Vitara's Red/Black version isn't available on our country yet.

      Johannes Malevodich I see a lot of older folks driving Kia Soul. They aren't the intended market either. They buy it because it combines low price, low running costs, with good ingress/egress, practicality, comfort, and economy. Same reasons my Mom bought the Outlander Sport 2yrs ago, and likely similar reasons why you'll see all sorts of people drivinf this Eclipse Cross.

    • @lordbry470

      palebeachbum 3 years had passed by. Travelling everyday in the capital city of our country. I've only seen a Kia Soul once. I'm pretty sure Kia/Hyundai cars are overpriced in our country. Using a CRDi long term ain't a good idea to talk about low running cost, also practicality. Lastly, thinking of owning one really does make me uncomfortable. So yea, that's my case.

    It hasn't yet been tested by the IIHS, but in the Euro NCAP test it had five stars, and it did really well in the small offset crash, which some small crossovers have difficulty passing (hello, Ford Escape...)
    I sat in one today, and I was impressed with the materials and build quality - it is definitely put together better than my Ford Focus, which has many plastic panels that never correctly lined up properly in the interior.
    For what you get it's an amazing value.
    Does anyone know if Mitsubishi has conquered the engine oil burning issue? One of my friends had a '95 Dodge Colt (aka Mitsubishi Mirage) and her car was always clouded in plumes of blue smoke.

    They should offer two sizes for the sunroof one standard size one as a stand alone option would go a long way instead of forcing people to get the top trim and just make the pano exclusive for the top trim

    Gotta admit, it looks pretty nice. Whenever someone used to say "Mitsubishi" to me, I'd think ho-hum little boxes that weren't particularly impressive in any regard. This thing looks nice both in and out. Still don't think I'll ever own one, but a tip of my hat to Mitsubishi for putting some effort into their designs.

    For almost 30 years, Eclipse has been the name of Mitsubishi sports cars.
    I do not understand the need to use this name for a generation of cars
    that have nothing to do with the Mitsubishi Eclipse that have always
    been fantastic coupes or spiders.
    And as if tomorrow the Toyota wakes up, and presents an SUV calling it Celica.
    Zero Fantasy?
    Or in Japan do you pay a tax on the new names?

    • @defendar5351
      @defendar5351 6 лет назад +1

      Sigh, It is called the Eclipse Cross, maybe look up what cross stands for when used in an automobile name. Just saying. And furthermore, the Eclipse is discontinued, for almost 6 years now, so get over it. If it was so fantastic it would have sold fantastic and Mitsubishi would never have stopped production of it.

    I just got my eclipse cross gt last month. I noticed the the automatic braking works well when it is on assisted cruise control.. it actually worked on me today... some car cut me off , and he braked suddenly and my cross braked on its own instantly... love it ... Does this work if im not on assisted cruise control also ??? What if im driving in a neighborhood road and some child runs in front ,,will it stop ?? Even if my foot is on the gas pedal ??? I havent been in that situation ,, nor do i want to try it out .. Do i need to program something in my settings ?

      These systems shouldnt be an option to begin with. Your standard radio/cd player should be all that comes with a car. Thats one of the main reasons i refuse to buy a new vehicle. And a trackpad to fuck around with a touchscreen? Nah, fuck that. And fuck this pile of shit too.

      LRulesTheWorld Enjoy your 1970's Whatevermobile then. The often-stupid and useless tech in new cars may be annoying or pointless, but it's offset by the advances in safety technology and fuel efficiency, as well as other refinements along the way. (Mind you, over the past few years, that safety tech can be substituted by something revolutionary called "keeping your eyes on the road and paying attention" while you drive.)

  • @umaxen0048
    @umaxen0048 6 лет назад

    I liked it until 3:28. For that price I can get a better car. As an example: A "similarly" equipped 2-WD, Honda CR-V or Toyota RAV-4 with rebates, discounts and incentives is probably around $26,900. I would even bet you could get a 4x4 for around $28,800. The RAV-4 and CR-V's 2.4 is probably better behaved overall as well. This seems to be a well put together car, however 1.5 liters is a tiny engine...

    • @freedun4961

  • @swanblake
    @swanblake 6 лет назад

    This is such a tough segment to succeed in. I feel the dealership experience is where people be turned off. I think this is a great offering for the price. Volume knob omission seems short sided as it's been proven to be unfavorably viewed by consumers
