I had my Eclipse for 18 months and done 16500 miles no problems whatsoever. Up to 45 mpg on A roads. Superb front seats. Forgotten to mention 5 year warranty. Made in Japan not Sunderland.
Tested the mitsubishi today. 163hp is enough for this car...does "pull" you well when turbo kicks in...infotainment screen is where it should be...compared to nissans lower position...rear seats slide 20cm in total..good value for money
HM Car Reviews to recline my seats in the rear they are on the upper corners of the rear seat like a pull lever and you can put them in like 9 different positions and the rear seat also slides back and fourth with the pull bar under the rear seat. Now this is my USA model so not sure for UK but curious. By the way nice video on both!!!
@@kmckenzie2461 Thank you, I imagine the button are in the same location, I can't see why Mitsubishi would go through the expense of having separate buttons. The Qashqai (Rouge Sport) in the thumbnail/parked up next to the Eclipse Cross is completely different one to the one driven. Both happened to be the same colour and spec luckily.
I am looking up the classic coupe that came out at the end of the 80s. It doesn't appear to have the bar. Is it a specific trim model that I should be looking for?
You forgot to mention that rear seats in Mitsubishi are fully adjustable so you don’t need to sit like on a chair. Also, you can open the sunroof on the front, not only a blind.
"It is an automatic, so you don't have to worry about changing gear, which is always quite handy and quite beneficial." God give me strength. On the other hand, there may be room for "Car reviews for Dummies". Someone else made a squillion!
İ own eclipse cross. Does qashqai has 4x4 version, all wheel control or standard tower tensioner? İf not, no need to compare my 163hp mitsu to other car.also this 4x4 version was in very reasonable price in 2018.dont know the other.
Missed the Fact that the seats in the back if you feel upright in them, they recline (yes back seat recliners). Also the nav system is better than built in because it uses android or apple car play, so you use your phone services that means you can use things like Google street maps/view that gets constantly updated.
Thanks Ian, those recliners are pretty hidden, but then again I do wear glasses :D perhaps I need new ones. Apple car play/Andorid auto are a good work around.Precisely for the reasons you had given, them being updated regularly.
Renault's Kadjar, which would have be awesome to have had in this video does have slightly more space that the Qashqai but is far more basic in its interior. Qashqai is in need of a next generation now. This shape has been around for 5 + years.
I have owned eclpse Cross 4 with ctv gearbox for 3 years done 20,000 miles in it.I get nowhere near mpg stated. Best I get is 25 mpg round town and 33 mpg on a long motorway journey keeping at 70 mph.
Is your car 4 wheel drive? If so turn off 4 wheel drive and you should see an improvement in fuel consumption. Id also make sure your tyres are in the manufacturers recommend psi limit.
The eclipse 4 is 4 wheel drive it has 3 settings auto gravel and snow.I keep it in auto which is 2 wheel drive mostly.and the tyres are the factory fitted tyres kept at correct pressure all the time.Stiill cannot get anywhere near the figures stated in your review .
You didn't talk about the functionality of the back seats. You didn't talk about engine technology which is DI and MPI at the same time. You didn't even mention that strut bar when you opened the hood. Sorry man :(
Qashqai far too common on UK roads. People here seem incapable of veering away from the popular choices, as if they cant think for themselves or worry what others will think if they choose a car thats not as "on trend". Sad society.
Thank you for taking the time to write a comment on my video. I hope you enjoyed it and if you can check out any of my other reviews. That would be greatly appreciated too.
Which car do you prefer, the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross or the Nissan Qashqai?
I do test drive on qashqai im not comfortable the seats and now i got the eclipse its 2weeks old i love it.
@@loriegievillantes5418 Glad you like your car. Thank you for watching.
I prefer Eclipse Cross because bigger

Eclipse Cross.. ❤️❤️❤️

Does yours has the petro 1.5 Turbo, I am about to get one in US, but the sticker says 26 mpg for highway
Hello, can you please explain for me- whats about Sunderland? Are they made something bad?
Eclipse Cross for me.
It is a great choice
FYI, the rear seats in the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross can be moved forward/backward and the backs can also be tilted back further.
Thanks for letting me know. I could not find it which is not good for me lol
HM Car Reviews - Maybe they had a different version from a different country.
@@ejohnson3131 Is it the lights or reflector strip going across the entire rear portion?
The adjustable rear seat is an important missed point

Eclipse Cross is way better. But the cars look the same from some angles.
At some angles they do look similar. Good spot.
I think the back of the eclipse cross is very sporty and stylish !! It is hot and will be a dream to drive !!
I think you might be right
The rear seats slide and recline in the Eclipse Cross in the USA do they they where you are? I love my Eclipse Cross.
I'm from the UK, I couldn't find the button. Is it in the boot (trunk my any chance)?

In Australia the rear seat slide and recline
Mitsubishi eclipse croos ❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The back seats do recline in the Eclipse Cross, but you adjust them from the release at the top of the seats. It's awkward if you're already seated.
Thanks for that added info. Thumbling around I failed to spot the seat release.
Actually the rear bar along the rear window is a reference from the original Mitsubishi Eclipse

HM Car Reviews GSX I believe

The mitsubishi, inside and outside is way way way better looking then the qashqai. And by a long shot.

*points at steering wheel* If you twist it left the car will go left and if you twist it right the car will go right.
I used these cars, Mitsubishi's engine power is stronger then nissan, also the spaces in the car was well designed then nissan .
Mitsubishi is Better 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻💪
Thanks for your very helpful and very thorough review. Great Job!
Glad you watched and enjoyed my video, means a lot !
Just a heads up that the rear seats recline.
Eclipse is better!!!
Yeah I think generally I agree but the Tekna + trim level on the Qashqai is very nice.
Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is the best car u can find (my opinion)
It does have a nice feel to it.
@@HMCarReviews and got the car last month
Mitsubishi and i have that now 2weeks old

In Canada yes they are all awd
Ive just brought the eclipse cross 4 model 😁😁😁

You can buy a Qashqai in 4X4 form.
Whatever, eclipse cross all the way against that car.

Its Mitsubishi not Mitsubushi
Thanks for noticing. Ill see if I can put some edit on it whilst uploaded.
I used to make the same mistake!
Well im lucky to have both my mom has the qashqai i havr the eclipse the eclipse has better ride handling and more spacious

Misthubishi are the best ❤️🤸💃
The Mitsubishi wins if only because it does everything the Qashqai can do and is not a Qashqai!
