I agree, car on the limit on a public road is asking for trouble. Not a kill joy but after losing a family friend losing her 7 year old son by a young driver doing something similar the potential consequences are not worth it.
That's more like it for a modified BMW. Subtle but effective. Q-Car as us old gits say. I really don't like this modern trend of artificial exhaust pops, bangs and farts. That Remus sounds great from the outside.
Love the colour, love the package, and only £195 per year to tax it , win win !!!!. Sticks in my throat we have to pay £ 555 per year for E92 M3's , the fuel consumption I will take on the chin . Excellent review as always James.
It's nice that it's lightweight. But I do despise BMW for inventing the patterned fabric "sensatec" or whatever, because when it gets worn and it will get worn (and damaged and cigarette burns...) It becomes unnecessarily difficult to replicate that finish. Soon BMW won't even sell it by the yard in those particular shades, as usual how they discontinue parts, and then you're properly f-ed, then you have to do all 4 seats in matching new fabric and pay 10 times as much. Leather on the other hand you can always reupholster, no matter in which sh*thole country you live in.
I've subbed to you & to Joe Achilles, so when I saw the words "Motech" & "BMW" in close proximity, I assumed this was one of his, & didn't even check before pressing Play. No regrets. I totally get wanting a fast 4 series, but not an M4. Not so "in yer face", still a nice GT like cruiser, but absolutely fun when you want it. Money no object, I'd get a new Bentley Continental GT (& much else besides), but money less of an object that it is, an Alpina B4S in stealth spec would be mine. I get the impression from you & from Joe, that Motech will give you all of the driving pleasure, at a touch less cost (with a touch less luxury) of the Alpina, which puts it right up my street. Thanks!
High praise for another great and honest review Beautiful video angles Excellent audio Nice mixing The M4 is just so (not a little bit, but alot) more visually appealing
Something about cloth seats in a 60K BMW bothers me deeply. I think if I was going for a coupe I'd get the M240i. You can fit 4 adults and it's so much more fun
Really? Ya got to put a warning at the beginning about flashing lights??? Hey, it ought also make you a bit nauseous because there’s motion in the video….
I got a 440i for £18k, after a couple thousand of mods it will do all I want. Has power and is fast yet still comfortable. Not to mention Cheapest m4 from same year is approx £26k + £7k a year to insure vs the £1600 on the 440i. Cost no option you'd have an m4 for weekend 440i for daily imo, but there definitely is reasons for owning the 440i, play with it a bit, add some mods and you've got a hell of a package for less than £20k.
440i is a goodcar .. few mods and there a really great car !
*motech are great! Like this car. The Remus does sounds great. Great vid mate*
Cheers bud

The most important upgrade here is actually the LSD. It makes a world of difference.
Fabulous Video James
Drove the 340i M Sport last Sunday. Bloody quick car for a Non M

Don't worry Fella. i have to pay £450 a year in my M240 due to luxury car tax.
4 years later... 700 a year...
Don't think I've ever seen a 4 series with cloth seats before. No cost option I assume? I quite like it.
It was a no cost option originally yes, but discontinued last year. The Dakota leather which is now the standard option was a cost option.
I hate leather with a passion, would never buy a new car with it. It’s sad that it’s so difficult to get fast cars without it.

Yes the vibe is very much Alpina-lite
I’m ok with you doing cars repeatedly, the experience is why I watch as much as the car model
I’m liking the F30 340i touring, it’s looking like a modern retro already.
High praise for another great and honest review
Beautiful video angles
Excellent audio
Nice mixing
The M4 is just so (not a little bit, but alot) more visually appealing
Thankyou. And yeah the M4 looks better for sure
Why get a 440i over an M4? You can get a 440i with a practical boot! :D
Mppsk is the way to go. The remus sounds tame.
Is it the OPF version? Thank you
Great car. It would look more professional if the shadow of your camera won't be visible.

M240i is a pretty pointless car when the 4 series coupe is out and looks significantly better and with more space inside
Wouldn't be pointless if 240i was lighter weight. Alas, they only had to achieve that one thing, and failed miserably.
@@AngloSaxonVanguard The short wheelbase transforms the driving experience, even with the same weight. 2 series is the exact same size as an E46
The cloth seats were a free option, they are cloth and alcantara
You make great videos!
Thankyou
No clutch pedal :(
Do you know if the Remus still had the resonators in place?
It is just the back box which is changed
They can do a louder system
Really? Ya got to put a warning at the beginning about flashing lights??? Hey, it ought also make you a bit nauseous because there’s motion in the video….
What kind of wheels are those?
OZ Leggera HLT
He clearly has at least 3 videos with m140i yet he says he doesn't in the first minute. Are you ok Jay?
Have you checked the date of these videos?
Honestly the only real reason for a 440i over a slightly used M4 is for the Gran Coupe 4 door...
They're way cheaper to own aswell.
They're not way cheaper to own at all. Equivalent year spec M4 is only a few grand more.
@@AngloSaxonVanguard He means the M tax. Any part with an M engraved on it is priced like it's made out of Platinum and Rubies.
Or the xdrive version like mine
