As a Brazilian that attended the event, my guess as to why they didn’t announce anything substantial is because no one can handle Brazil😎

I would like for the Lion King ride to explore Simba's life with Timon and Pumba during that montage sequence in Hakuna Matata.

Is there a chance we don’t have a location for the Avatar experience because it potentially could be part of the New Tomorrowland? I know they said DCA as the location at D23, but Iger said Disneyland in his original comment.

Why do you assume Disney is not bulldozing the entire Hollywood Land? Especially, since you want Disney California Adventure to be on the same level as Disneyland.
Hollywood Land is 8acres of under-utilized prime real estate, with only one tiny and unpopular ride, and that is without the extra 4acres from the bus loop. Which is more than enough land to build upon. The theater has been empty for years, and has a hideous and outdated faux exterior. Plenty of the small “experiences” have closed since the pandemic. The trolley is being retired. Even the monorail can be hidden in the new facades/rocks, similar to how it is camouflaged in other areas of the park. All signs point to Hollywood Land being an expansion plot come 2026. If you are worried about the “California” theming, just remember the park’s icon is a replica of a ferris wheel in Brooklyn.

George is spot on about Avatar. I would also point out that these films were noteworthy mostly for being really good 3D. If the films were 2D from the jump, they wouldn't have made anywhere near as much money.
Avatar feels like it belongs at Universal next to Men in Black and Ghostbusters.
