- This is a video about dealing with a hard start issue on My 2006 MasterCraft X15. I replaced the fuel pump last year, but have a hard start issue. This video will show what I did to fix it. The boat would run great once started, but starting was an issue.
I can tell you this absolutely fixed my starting issues. My boat fires up in seconds now and it's been solid like that for a year.
Mine too. My boat stalled for the first time ever in the middle of the lake last week, had to have a “tow of shame” back to the boat launch. Easy to swap and should last years. My boat had always started instantly then it stalled and that was that. So glad I didn’t have the marina work on it, they have a four week backlog and would have cost hundreds of dollars in labor.
This is a great video
Nice work, I have an 04 Maristar with this motor and I think my pump just died. Where did you purchase the replacement pump? Thanks
I found mine at Oreilys part #E16047 (Royal Precision) Or Airtex E2044.
Thanks again for you information, I was able to order this part and came in the next day. Swapped it today and boat fired right up! $80 instead of $800 from the boat mechanic.
Thanks for the video! Do you perhaps have the part number for that fuel pump?

Another good option for a clamp is a designated fuel line clamp.
Your my very first comment and it's been up over a year. Not sure if it helpful or not.
@@Mark-jz4dz Awesome. Thank you!
Do you have any more videos of the install? The fuel pump 101 is overwhelming and the pics have all seem to have disappeared
your clamp is to big
I don't believe so. I could not go down with the Oetiker size clamp. Also you can clearly see in the video the latches can not go any further. This was more of a placement issue. The previous owner had the worm style
Clamp, he also told me he had the starter already replaced once. He didn't have it right either..
