Really enjoyed you going over the BAG with us. I've not bought one yet, but intend too. Lots of good fish in the area you chose, just not enough size to be in the money....... maybe next time ! No matter what happens, we'll be right here ! I've never seen you use a raincoat or poncho, any reason ? Bug spray ? I can't stand mosquitos ! Always be careful. Pap Blevins
I'm too old to tournament fish now. But I learned real early that if I wanted to guarantee I would not catch any fish, just pay a fee to get in a tournament. That is why I only fished our church tournaments. It cost about $25 a year to join and all you got for winning was bragging rights. And I call 5th place and not knowing the water as an excellent place to finish. Congratulations.
Great video and tournament finish brother. I like that you went light and concentrated on fishing what you did. I've had the spinnerbait blade come off the Pond Magic models after a little fish abuse. Definitely need to carry back up blades and baits and check them regularly. Always a bit of sacrifice for how effective they work. And you did it all launching from a new ramp. Blessings John
Overall you did pretty good. You have to get at least one of your kayaks with a power pole. They can help you alot. The way you love to fish those sholes. You see one and boom you hit that button you stop. Just cut the pole down to what size you need it to be. They come a little long. You getting a motor on one is great but you need one with a pole. 😊 Watching every video!
Those Booyah Spinnerbaits work great around my area in Kentucky! If you’re ever up this way around Northern or Central Kentucky give me a shout! I know some good river and creek spots.
I kept trying to figure out where you are at, I decided that you were at Dayton, if you had a frog it might have played around the grass, I'm glad to see the spinnerbait working for yah, but great tournament I've learned a lot from watching you John, I had one of my best fishing trips at weiss lake last week, caught so many including a 5 lb spot on a jig! It's funny in a way that it usually comes down to 1 bait that catches the most!🎣👍
Good stuff - congrats on the 5th place! I really appreciated your pre-tournament setup/loadout too. More often than not a spinnerbait is my go-to to kick my day off
Ive personally found that yellow jitterbugs work great on super brown murky water. Spinner is still my #1 in the muddy water, but the jitterbug is a great slower option. Great tourney.
Hey John I think the next two items you need in the next tournament is insect repellant and a phone tether lol! I love your video content a whole different perspective fishing in a creek or river! Thanks for sharing your day on the water that was really fun to watch you work those creeks! No electronics just peddle your way through great job brother tight lines take care and God bless!❤❤
I’d love to load up on some new tackle, don’t have much of a selection to choose from now, I think I’m gonna start going to Dicks Sporting Goods and other places and dumpster diving, gonna start making dumpster diving videos as well, been making treasure hunting/nature videos for years and I’m still not monetized, maybe making dumpster diving videos will give me the views I need to get monetized and you never know what you’ll find, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure, Good Luck Buddy 👊🎣
Hey buddy if you got a minute check out my last community post, just want you to see what my nephew caught today up in Rome, have a good one bud, God Bless!!🙏🏻🎣
I would to and fly road and and spind cast with 8 pound test line and closed face with 10 pound test line and and nutter spind cast with 15 pound test line .Thr cascades have go back in.
Don't over complicate things for tournaments. Take your confidence lures and backups. On the spinner baits put a drop of either solder or J-B quick where the loop comes back and meets the main wire shaft, use a small round file to smooth where line won't be cut if a fish wraps the line around the shaft.Solves the problem of blades popping off and fish cutting and breaking off. Why aren't you using the jig around timber???? You need to fish jigs more, MH rod with 20# clear big game camo up with green and black magic marker, get as close as you can and work it hard. Glide baits are killer on schooling fish. 3 lure that will won may tournaments.
@@tenncutt I paid $20 for mine. Then as soon as fall hits I begin storing up on refills for the next season. Living in the South East is a mosquito heaven.

John you gotta make a video trying some Geecrack lures!
Good day Of fishing. And you did it in not the greatest conditions. Your time's coming John. I believe you're gonna hit it big.
John I don’t know if you’ve ever tried a Thermacell, but I use one and it seems to help. Along with the DEET spray 😅
I appreciate your testimony and proclaiming the Word of God. May the Lord continue to bless you.
Like to watch your tournament fishing great job
Great video and information thank you enjoyed it
You probably already know, but there is a spot to put in your yak in that creek channel you went into. Lots of bass way back in there.
I saw that but couldn’t use it for the tournament. Had to use a boat ramp
Custom bubblegum swirl paddle?
I have to know. when you had your "I planned ahead," sandwich, did you have a Mountain Dew with it?
Of course he did. Even if he didn’t, he did 😂😂
For sure
Great job brother. Enjoy your youth. Teach younger folk about fishing. Life is short. 😎🤟
Thanks, glad you had a good time. So close next time!
Were those shakey head worm hooks?
Check out e&h custom lures in Watauga TN. I meant to add that in a comment on your Kingsport bank fishing video.
Any day on the water is better then working right ? Next time you'll get em john
Something is up with those spinnerbaits, I lost a blade off of mine too. I’ve never had that happen before
I would use and fly tge looks like and caside.
Those bass were hungry for some spinnerbait for sure 👍
What's the name of the double rod holder on the side of your kayak? That thing is sweet. Thanks for another great video.
yak gadget flex rod
Awesome man your there bro
I would to and fly road and and spind cast with 8 pound test line and closed face with 10 pound test line and and nutter spind cast with 15 pound test line .Thr cascades have go back in.

What is that rod holder you have mounted to your right on the kayak?
Yak gadget flex rod holder

the kayak rules you go by length only correct not weight?
yes length
what do you use to edit your footage together for RUclips if you don't mine sharing
i just use filmora wondershare
great info
You can bend it back with plaiers
You should've added a head mosquito net to that bag of tricks 😅
You know you love spinner baits when you have a backup lol
I rig four rods, each rigged with different color hellgrammites. 😁
Good choice!
I'm curious why you don't troll a bait when you're on long crossings and such?
dont really think about it or have confidence i guess
Looks like the rift raft hasn’t taken all the nice bass
Your cursed with that rain lol
You did awesome for never having been there 👍
I would have toke and fly road .
We take a ton of things to fish with and end up only use two or three.. 😂😂
true
I only really throw spinner baits and texas rigged plastic craws.
❤
John don't forget your hellgrammite
You need to invest in a Thermocell. Great for keeping mosquitoes at bay. I am always at war with the little vampires.
Thermocells are on sale this morning at Walmart for $29! My Walmart is John's Walmart too
@@tenncutt I paid $20 for mine. Then as soon as fall hits I begin storing up on refills for the next season. Living in the South East is a mosquito heaven.
🎣🎣🔥🔥
That one bass has been in sewer creeks
Gonna start bringing just some select things and stick to it. Tired of bringing the kitchen sink..
If you don't want mosquitos, then get a thermacell. You won't regret it.
The jig with a craw trailer is my go to bait😮
Juuuuuust a bit outside.
Hey John I have a youtube channel to
Too legit to quit
Fishing starts at 0:00 in my videos lol
cool.
Got to make videos the way you want
quit complaining.
Good luck!
Great video.
Nikko hellgramite should be 1/5 for sure…
❤
