Had one in my 56 Belair power pac 265 bored to 283. Was a nice combination.
Half of the artist’s renderings look like front-engined C6’s and C7’s bodywork. Still haven’t seen anything in the media’s attempts to get attention that’s remotely worthy of the Zora name.

The power output is getting insane. Nothing wrong with 600hp . This 1000+ hp vette will run 9 second 1/4mile times which is crazy. I love powerful muscle cars and sports cars but we have gone off the deep end. 600 hp will still run low 11's and do 200mph and can do it more efficiently then 1000 hp

The rendering is hilarious! You obviously have no clue what the car is going to look like. GM doesn’t have the $$ to change bumpers f & r FYI: that cost is about 10mil. to develop & crash test. They will probably try to modify the Z parts to look different & it will get a bunch of bespoke bits here & there so it’s worth 300k. Now they definitely could change the front & rear fenders as those can be changed without NHTSA crash approval. The basic difference will really be in the drivetrain & lightweighting the car, maybe a carbon tub instead of Aluminum. Titanium parts here & there & Magnesium rims?

According to which artist? How many artist conceptions did you show in 4 minutes? It's all a guess right now. The Zora will be much more than $150,000 base MSRP. The ZR1 could be more than $150,000.

I agree, the prices of a Stingray should be $60-$80K (where it was intended to be...Covid, etc., changed all that). Prices are starting to look better, but give it another year (C8's are not selling as they should)...dealers will have to slash well below MSRP and that's good for the customer. It's still a Chevy and it should be affordable...making it into an Exotic was not the plan, right?

The biggest problem is that the Zora won’t look ANYTHING like these low, sleek and streamlined renders. It will be based on the C8. Chaotic design. High beltline. Chunky, gaping, cut-off mouth. Incomprehensible rear end. And with even more plastic doodads hanging off of it.

The Zora will be a twin-turbo Z06 flat-plane motor pushing out around 850 hp combined with the E-Ray electrics. Take it to the bank. And the world will be stunned by the Zora and her capabilities.
The ZR1 will be closer to 850 hp and the Zora will not likely be flat plane but cross plane like the ZR1 but add the hybrid for about 1000 hp.

It's a good looking car, but the price is astonishing,to say the least.
Are they going to have a cheaper base model, like a Stingray, with less HP, and a cheaper price tag?
If GM doesn't, they are going to probably price them self's out of the market.
With the C-7 and when they came out with the C-8, people could afford the Corvette.
But with the Z06 and ZR-1, prices are really getting out of hand, and hardly any one can afford them, except for rich people.
One of the best selling points is that pretty much anyone could afford a Corvette, and it had the preference that would rival Super Car's from Europe.
You starting out at $150k, your going to price yourselves right out of the affordable Super Car market.
I can see where GM wants to produce a Hyper Car, and there's nothing wrong with that at all.
But y'all should have a base model car, that other people can still afford.
Maybe up the HP to 550 or 600hp for a bace model Corvette for maybe around $80k or $90k.
That's still pretty steep for the price though.
The Corvette was a top selling car for GM back when they had the C-7's and started out with the C-8's.
However,the prices now are just getting way out of reach, for just anyone to buy.
This is just my opinion,I'm just a regular person.
I bought a used C-7, and I absolutely love the car!!!
