6:03 … that’s what Bon Scott said 😉😆😆😆 7:50 … that’s why I make all my necks able to slide into a closed box (the pickups are always attached to the lid), that and I also like the look of the fretboard overlapping the lid a bit… 18:45 … nice! I’m hearing a little Jimmy Page now and then with them ringin’ chords… Love your builds and watching the “how-I-do-it-all” !!!
You inspired me to make 3 string CBGs during lockdown, so thank you for that Del. Recently a friend asked me to make a 4 string for him to write with. I had never made a 4 string before. A couple of months later he asked me to make an 8 string (4 x 2). Tuned in C standard, boy it sounds good. Again, many thanks.
@@PuckettCigarBoxGuitar Yeah, the tricky parts were the string spacings at the nut and bridge and the string sizes. Oh and btw, the scale length is only 21" on a 21mm thick QLD Maple neck, repurposed from old furniture, so it is quite strong. HappyDayZ.
4 Strings is a good step up from the 3 strings so now 3 strings is 1 string too few. But we need to plug that gap between the 4 & 6 string CBG w/ a 5 string CBG in Open C (basically an Alto version of the Keith Richards 5 string Open G Tuning).
@@PuckettCigarBoxGuitar So after the 5 string CBG in Open C Alto Tuning (basically an Alto Keith Richards Guitar), we can go onto the 6 String CBG in B Flat (it's tuned DGCFAD) which can cover B Flat Trumpet & Clarinet Music.
Ok, let me see here…your pup, your CBG, and you. I hear a Three Dog Night reunion tour coming up 😉 As always, great job amigo, that thing sounds as it should…totally awesome 🎼🎸
@@PuckettCigarBoxGuitar oh man the whole time I was thinking you didn’t have those power saws etc…I thought rasp , drill etc …duh …no wonder you got those surfaces flat like that . Oh man ….nice cigar box guitars …very nice . Thank you !
Great stuff Mr Puckett If the lid sits even with the box how does a neck back angle cut make sense ?? I can’t wrap by head around the fact that the lid sits even …or does it not with a back angle notch? Please thank you …
@@PuckettCigarBoxGuitar cool thanks I watched the one on back angle … someone comments about the bracing and you respond I believe …but that’s just confusing me more because I can’t find that video again
Hey Bro it looks good. How about making me a three string with everything you’re showing. Let me know $$$. We can work with that while building. Have Merry CHRISTmas and a Hppy New Year. Praying 2024 will be great for the Puckett Family. ✝️🙏☮️☮️☃️🇺🇸🇺🇸
