Very new to cbg. Haven’t got one yet but I’m working on that. I know this goes against everything a cbg should be but up until now I’ve preferred the builds that are more refined and looking like mainstream guitars I guess. (I guess I like precision and everything to look exactly perfect) That was until now. This cbg looks and sounds awesome. Hadn’t really appreciated fretless until this video either. You blown me away with this build great job 👍
if you use a rubber bridge, but make it a really wide bridge (like as wide as a sitar bridge but made out of rubber instead of a hard materiel) it'll give a palm muted effect with having to actually palm mute! You can use one of those 'pink pearl' erasers for this.
Enjoy your videos. Checking out the shirt in this one. Wish I knew you were going to be here would have loved to meet you. Charleston just east of Fort Smith.
Wow. What a simple, but amazing looking and sounding cbg. Those flatted 7th notes were killer with the bass note droning underneath. The picture hanger might work well as a string guide if you turn it 90 degrees. Just an idea for another build.
James, that hanger is actually doing exactly what you described, when you look at the break angle of the strings over the nut, the notches in the hanger are controlling the spacing.
have ever given any though to taken the neck of one of them 6 string electric guitar for kids they have sorter Strat neck and sometimes have built amp i think it may good project some thing like semi acoustic 6 string cbg travel guitar
probably not…. it might lose all its mojo … heheheee!!!! the Vox Mini is a tad cleaner and you can definitely hear the difference… that’s a risk i’m not willing to take.

Sometimes you gotta break the rules (but wait, in the CBG world there are no rules!) Stay safe brother!
I've used dog leashes on my ukes, tenor banjo and cbgs for years. Perfect for light-weight instruments. Cheap too!
You got this Dal
Your a lot like me in ways . You're very very resourceful
😅 musically resourceful the use of gifts to God gave you very well
I love the sound of that guitar.
This caster sounds and looks great!
I use eyelets on all my CBGs. Those spring carabiners that you put your keys on. I attach those to a piece of rope for my strap.

That's some sinister sounding picking on that open G string . Then you gave it a reassuring resolve . We be OK ladies and gentlemen!😅

You can't use Shane's strings he's your competition man!
there’s no competition in the CBG community. just support, encouragement and love
Na it ain't about that . ( I know you're just joking ) . We're all community here .
We found a place that's not toxic . THANK YOU y'all
