@@luismichaud813 Thanks! A lot of things affect the sound (wire, magnets, coil design .. wood, etc.) .. I'm learning! Try it and you will succeed. The resistance of 1 meter is equal to 6.2 ohms.. the resistance of the coil is 7950 ohms.. it turns out 1282 meters of wire in the coil. Thanks! But I'm ready to waste time .. I play these guitars .. not only sell them. This experience is simply necessary, at least for me, for my professional activities and for growth.
It takes me about 10 minutes to get 3000 winds. (Diy winder). Soldering is a main time consumer for me. Thanks for great tutorial.
@@AlexArcady Cool .. even envy! In the future, I plan to automate the winding process a little. In general, the result is good .. just need to be patient.
@@CigarBoxBroGuitars but your approach makes me jealous too. I got that great idea about making turn around a hole to solder to that spot later on. Wow, learning is awesome.
What make a pickup sound nice? Is it the number of how many times you wind the wire?
От нечего делать раскурочил ноунейм сингл и сваял собственный. Намотал часа за 3 без помощи электроинструментов, бо рвало мне провод.. рукой вращал бобышку минитокарного самопального же станочка)). Наматывал прямо на брусок магнита. Однако, муторнее было сматывать со старой катушки(провода быстро не нашел). Датчик был пропарафинен и приходилось периодически его мусолить уайт-спиритом. Два дня убил, часов восемь ушло на смотку, но ни одного обрыва! Горжусь собой! 4,6к, то есть где-то 800м провода.
Так мой датчик звучит много лучше исходника, заводится ,правда, на очень большом гейне, но я на большом и не играю.
Так вот потихоньку развеиваются мифы про некую особую эксклюзивность "бутиковых" изделий

Это приходит с годами..свои технологии, фишки..понимание что и как (какой магнит, высота/ширина катухи..как мотаешь..чем пропитываешь..толщина провода, витки..из чего сделана катушка..ой, так можно долго перечислять

Thank you! No .. the hot wire is separate (its own hole) .. the ground wire has its own hole (the magnets ground wire goes into it).

@@attilasipeki1418 I made a small incision with wire cutters .. and pulled out the wire that is inside (it is insulated)

Thank you! Foil - shielding (less background) ... you can place one magnet under the magnetic conductors.

Диаметр провода 0,063 мм..сопротивление на 1 метр 6,2 Ома..общее сопротивление звукоснимателя 7950 Ом.. следовательно провода в звукоснимателе 1282 метра...примерно так!!!

Неее, не жду..сразу мотаю, так он проникает дальше ( вглубь обмотки ). Провод легко порвать..на этом звукомнимателе всё чисто , без обрыва ( провод 0,063 мм )
@@CigarBoxBroGuitars спасибо. Честно скажу - намотал 5 пикапов. Три запорол. Нежный процесс. Теперь после просмотра много понял. Особенно об экранировании и фишка с оборотами вокруг отверстий просто восторг. Успехов всяческих, ну а я теперь здесь надолго. :)
@@AlexArcady я изготовил 5 звукомнимателей и все работают, пока это главное..и кстати могу заметить , что все они уникальные и вот чудо , самый первый самый клёвый..сигарбокс по-своему уникальный инструмент и всё звучит..а с опытом у меня формируется понимание что я хочу и что я могу..эксперимент , вся жизнь один большой эксперимент ))) Рад буду видеть на канале!!!
Скажите а объединение магнитов влияет на что-то? Я мотаю 7000 на выходе - 2.5 кОм. Может я упускаю что то? 😂

Yeah .. BF medical glue. In order not to bother with paraffin / wax, I coat with glue (quite often).

When you've done this one, you can do another and experiment with that one. Try more windings, or less, and listen to the guitar, how it sounds. There are more video's on what you can change. The magnet or magnets, the size of the entire pickup, build a humbucker, all will have an effect. That is why there are so many pickups for sale.

How many winds do you do for the pickup?
I do not count the turns and there is no counter! I'm experimenting .. to understand the essence, you need to wind more than a dozen pickups! I advise you to simply wind it carefully, without breaking the wire. Fill the bobbin with wire.
In the future, of course, I will give recommendations and write my thoughts .. as there will be enough experience.

enough to get around 5.5k - 8k ohm resistance. Lower values and higher values have different tonal qualities

There's more than one kind of Mahogany and yes, they are legally sold. I just bought some not long ago.
