What an incredibly beautiful canyon! Delighted you enjoyed some wonderful fishing. At my age I am quite sure I could never access such an amazing locale - but I am truly heartened to know such places still exist, and that you had a great outing (gear issue aside).
Thank you Michael! Indeed, they’re still out there! I must admit the hike back out, on day two, after we had hiked a few more miles in just about wiped us out. The elevation didn’t seem so bad on the way down into the canyon!
Maybe I can get sponsored for BOD Man fragrances!! Haha hopefully me sticking my belly out and walking by the camera will be a HIT. Good stuff other than the breaking of the leg…
Wow, beautiful rainbows! I caught my first wild rainbow on tenkara this year here in Utah. So much different than the stocked rainbows. Are the neoprene socks for warmth? Seriously considering the crocs and socks combo for 2025. I’ve got recommended style of crocs from you, but what brand sock do you use? How high up the leg is it?
you were surrounded by trees and no doubt a million fallen branches. Why not find a straight stick with the appropriate diameter and length and insert it into the hollow end of the broken leg. Problem solved.
Crocs? 😂That had to be a joke? Seriously, there isn’t a more slippery when wet shoe in the history of the world. Literally anything else would be better. Holy fork balls ☠️☠️☠️
I could hear the pain and frustration in that broken tripod. Glad you could make due and still have an epic story to tell.
They do now......
Do they really know about it though?
@@FlickyFliesI knew exactly where you were from the screen grab…and laughed at the title. It’s not a secret 🤫
Beautiful location Chris. Love those fighting rainbows. Excellent work capturing the experience (as always). Looking forward to the next segment.

Hot BOD! Tight BODDD! I want your BOD!
@ get in line behind hot coco
That was hilarious Travis!
@ thank you thank you
Can you talk about the line you are using on your rod. Personally I use furled lines, but everyone’s different.
I prefer level lines because I'm tight-line nymphing and I like how there is less drag to pull the nymph back.

Great film...
Thank you!
Does that mean that part is shorter? I know not funny. Thanks for sharing the prelude to the short session.
Lol! Thanks for watching man.
Having easy to get down calories is crutial, gummy bears are great and can even be swallowed like vitamins
You're not wrong! Nothing better than slamming a bag full of sour patch kids while backpacking.
which state?
I plead the 5th!
@@FlickyFlieslol i figured it was a 50/50 shot!
@@FlickyFlieslooks like the kinda place Butch Cassidy would love 😃
Seems you have regular 1000 foot descents to where you fish. That’ll keep the vast majority of the public away!
Lol that does seem to be the de facto amount of elevation loss for me doesn't it?
I really like Oreos.
Haha! Doritos and Oreos can never be topped!
@@FlickyFlies same here

Leave the net at home. You're backpacking. Fish are just as easily brought to hand.
