I am so glad that ive discovered your post. Filipino here currently staying in Puerto Vallarta for almost 3 months now and while im enjoying it here, I think its time for me to explore Mexico further. I was about to book a month in Cozumel when I chanced upon this video. I think Queretaro ticks all the required boxes for me as a digital nomad. I enjoyed swimming on beaches around PV and this video made me realize that Cozumel will be no different. So I think Queretaro is what Im looking for as a change, and then Oaxaca October/November before finally leaving Mexico.
We’ve been in Querétaro only 2 weeks and we’ve already fallen in love with this place ❤️ bravo on such a well-made video that highlights the many reasons to love Querétaro!
Querétaro is truly a magical place. It’s the birthplace of my father and I feel so connected to my roots whenever I visit. People are friendly, the food is delicious, it’s clean, and it’s safe. What more could you ask for 🥰
I was born in Queretaro, I have always seen that compared to the rest of the republic, this is a very quiet and safe place, lately there have been many foreign companies, so there are jobs, we have enough universities for a relatively small place (1.2 million people). But for local people, maybe it is a bit more expensive than the rest of the country. Overall, I think it's a very good place. Sorry for my English, but I would like to tell you that I loved the video.
Yeah, people say it's one of the most modern cities in Mexico. The only thing I dislike is the weather and lack of beach haha. That's why I prefer the south of Mexico. For the weather, the nature, indigenous history and the warmth of the people.
Wow! The storytelling and production quality of your videos keeps getting better and better! Querétaro seems like a beautiful city and seems like it's growing while still maintaining its historic character. Thank you so much for telling us about this lovely city.
A Filipino friend of mine, who speaks fluent Spanish, lived in Queretaro for about a year (shortly after he visited Cuba). He loved it. He backpacked and took the bus around the State of Guerrero and also visited Oaxaca and Acapulco. You are lucky living there.
Backpacking Brunette also lives in Quetérao (she's been there for a few years now). She and her other half both have online jobs and they both love Querétaro very much. It would be great for both of you to do a show together.
We really like your videos, Karencita. You are friendly and down-to-earth ... very authentic. :-) My partner Jorge and I will be visiting Querétaro for two weeks in April. In November we will return and pick out our rental home or apartment in Querétaro (most likely in the community of Zibatá), and then in December we will drive from Dallas, Texas, to Querétaro with our happy, handsome Golden Retriever mix named Buddy to start a new phase of our life down there. Jorge and I have been together for almost 30 years now. He is originally from Puebla -- I am originally from Dallas. We are retired teachers. I started a second career in 2009 as a Spanish English court interpreter. I love this profession! Spanish is a major part of my life! ¡Y la vida es buena! ¡Saludos de Joseph Quillian (Pepe en español) :-) desde Dallas, Texas! ¡Un abrazo!

Thanks for all the info... I got a bit to go here before I make the move but the info helps me prepare and be informed 😃, funny thing it will be Oaxaca or Queretaro.

When I first came to,Antigua, Guatemala the old Spanish families still lived in about half the houses here. I,LIVED WITH AN UPPER,CLASS family for 6 mos. I was then accepted as a local rather quickly....many upper class families had sent children my age to religious collegios in the USA during the civil war so they accepted me well, were bi lingual and I dropped,in for cafe in the afternoon, often attended birthday parties etc, It was a gorgeous refined lifestyle we used to have in the Southern United States.

You lived in vietnam, you could have easily jumped over to the philippines which is just a couple of hours away. You’d be blown away by the similarities between the two countries. It’s like you never left mexico. Even your looks! You can easily be mistaken for a filipina.
Hey beautiful, we have been watching you forever but never written. Partially, because of you, we moved to Querétaro. Stop posting!!! Selfish yes? But we cannot let the whole world know how perfect it is!!!!
My other channel in Mexico,is "Retire in Mexico".Fred and Cindy have done many videos from town you mentioned,so they have found a way to have good internet!,👍
QUeretaro was one of the most beautiful cities in Mexico 30 years ago before it was "discovered". I loved taking the train from Mexico City. Guanjauato is gorgeous but for younger , fitter tourists. SMA I saw 30,yrs ago too, when it was more authentic but it is very liveable for ex pats....alot like more authentically Guatemalan Antigua. I chose Antigua because non real estate prices, culture and ambeince are like the Mexican Bahia 20,yrs ago...still paso fino horses in the streets on Sundays, people in traje much richer cilture...Mexico has become very Americanized and modernized, not in such a great way. I want Mexico,to feel like Mexico! If you knew it 50 years, 60 yrs ago, you too would miss it! Some important things are LOST to modernization.
Have I convinced you to come to Queretaro? 😂

How about cost of living in Guadalajara?
I'm sorry, I don't know. I've only visited for a very short time.
Karencita you look like my aunt ...Kartini.
i am from Malaysia
Is everyone wearing mask outside like Mexico city?? Or is it less like Puerto Vallarta?
Pretty much everyone wears a mask in Querétaro, although people do seem to be relaxing a little more recently.
Sudadera on, sudadera off. Like the karate kid xD
Vivo en Chicago , +1 ya es primavera xD
Are you still spending about $1400 a month total ? Thx
We're making a video about that. If I hurry up today, it'll be up tomorrow
Yo amo Queretaro. Mi ciudad favorita 🤩
My other channel in Mexico,is "Retire in Mexico".Fred and Cindy have done many videos from town you mentioned,so they have found a way to have good internet!,👍
For the most part, the internet in Mexico is the best in all of Latin America. They've done a great job improving it in the last 10 years.
What nationality are you?
Karencita, de verdad me gusta Queretaro. Podria vivir aqui.
Wow, what a gorgeous city! Never heard of it but now I’m dying to go! Looks like a fantastic place.
me likee
I agree, I moved to Tuxtla Gutierrez Chiapas for five years. Two years ago we moved to Queretaro. It is a great city.
Did you like it in Chiapas? I am thinking of going there. There seems to be much more nature and not too many foreigners - although I could be wrong.

Chiapas is a nice area. Especially San Cristobal
