My dad said that the metal box marked Brook Motors, Huddersfield is a T3 starter, he remembers working on them when he was a 16 year old apprentice.
Awesome video as usual .
Thanks for showing the big golf ball!
I hadn't seen one since the 60's to very early 70's in Southwestern Ohio, U.S.A.
Fantastic Ian and Chris, great to see you venturing further up north, the East coast is littered with remnants of WW2 / Cold war
Great drone footage. Should definitely travel to Lincolnshire next for the old ww2 bomber bases.
I'm here before the MOD take the vid down 👍
Keep up with your amazing videos I'm learning a lot from you guys
Just to warn you guys that the active remote radar head has ANPR cameras along the road way although they look like there trained on the dome they actually have some pointing on roadway watching comings and goings. There is also some heavy MOD patrols that goes between the back roads roads and the main road between there and Bacton Termina. I'm sure that there are some ground sensors around there also especially opposite the dome itself. No trying to scare you but more of liking what you do and stopping you getting pulled :) p.s I live close by that place
🎅🎄Merry Christmas Ian and Chris.
Hope someday I can explore with you guys!
awesome
On aviation nav maps & GPS systems, those 'buckyballs' were marked as 'areas of high microwave intensity' & overflying them was prohibited, in fact, a 5mile exclusion zone around them, we jokingly used to call them 'bollock burners!! Watch out for your gonads boys!
Learning a lot of wonderful history from the places you go. keep it up. Very interesting explore of the early warning radar station. Liking the weather when you filmed this.
