We're *all* practicing 'utilitarianism' against the global south, whether we want to admit it or not. Here in the USA, we've tried for a Kantian perspective on vaccination- at least towards our fellows- but an irrationalism interposed itself between theory and practice, leading to yet unexplained social- philosophical results. Socrates proposed a people in relation to earth's metals (gold, silver, bronze), but the current crisis has left us surprised and perplexed by how many still belong on the pile of non-returnable aluminum cans. So, yeah...we're doing philosophy.

I care about how I live. I let others care about how they live. It's their business, not mine

Philisophy is not originating as a ”thing for academics”. It became academic when people started to study ethics, morals, humanity, life, death and putted a name on the normal act of thinking. Thinking about life. Philosophy is as old as a human’s first thought. Very basic. I eat? I sleep? You exist, who are you? Philosophy too in an early form. Back ti basics and closer to a reptile brain.

Not much philosophy- mostly tired politics- boring.
