I love Nigel and his insights (and of course the podcast!!!) but does anyone else think his voice is really deep in this video. It doesn't really sound like him and it's kind of distracting.
I agree. Audio is totally blurred. Doing philosophy requires clear speech ... even as a monologue. Watching the blurred and too dark video is not pleasurable either. Nigel must try doing this one again.
I’ve read 2 of your books and listened to the discussions with other great thinkers on RUclips. I did enjoy those books and discussions and will read and listen to them again. The bottom line is that there is no use of philosophy in the real world. The people in the police station, local councils, bus drivers, community officers and those works for customs and revenue will not have any discussions; they do what they’re told to do.
This comment is almost shameful. If only you knew to what impact philosophy has influenced what you consider as the real world, there wouldn’t be this kind of comment under such lecture. Nigel is here on a mission so less and less people make statements of this nature.
