  • In this video I talk about Gastroparesis; a condition where there is delayed gastric emptying of the stomach, causing the individual to suffer with numerous different symptoms including pain, constipation, belching, burping, bloating and multiple food intolerances. I discuss ideas of why gastroparesis might be occurring and what the most appropriate pathway might be to take when striving for a recovery.

    So I've been working really hard over the past 8 months building an online course that teaches you the exact steps you need to take in order to recover long-term from your chronic condition. I adopted these exact principles and I was able to significantly improve my digestion, shortness of breath and resolve my POTS; where my standing heart rate went from 125 bpm to 75 bpm. If you did want to reduce the frequency and severity of your symptoms once and for all and increase your energy levels in the process, make sure to check it out - unbeatableblueprint.thinkific.com

    I have just discovered your channel and I am thrilled!! I am diagnosed with Crohn's disease since 2011 and took the decision to get out of humira 5 years ago. I struggle a lot the last year with many supplements and have tried many diets. Nothing helps. How can we reach out to you for an 1:1 talk?

    Which specialist doctor should I visit for this im lost i visited a lot of gastrointestinal doctors no one mentioned this . I also have problems with my Urinary tract and sweat glands all appeared suddenly

      I went to see two chiropractic neurologists (dacnb) in the states; they help primarily with autonomic issues, but seen as digestion falls under that bracket, that was something that massively improved for me whilst I was treated by them. Urinary and sweating issues are also both related to autonomic nervous system function, so that might be the type of specialist that could help you out.
      I recommend checking out some of my latest videos, including a 3 hour video documenting my whole experience with the team in the states; which also covers the symptoms I was suffering with prior to the experience and what was improved by the rehabilitation plan that they put together for me.

      I'll be talking about lots of health conditions and symptoms that are linked to one another bud; some of these will be digestive related and some will be related to other systems in the body; it's important to understand how and why these conditions/symptoms are linked to one another, especially when searching for the best treatment

    What about megadosing B1 approaches as presented by Eliot Overton and others? Are you supportive of this method?

    • @ChrisGascoigne1
      @ChrisGascoigne1  Месяц назад +1

      Hi Kathleen I tried this myself a few years ago following reading Dr Lonsdale's book, I also consumed a fair amount of Elliot's videos. Whilst it sounds good in theory, one of the big pieces of information that those guys are missing that was pivotal to my own recovery, was just how essential it is to actually stimulate certain areas of dysfunction (in order to send neuronal activity and blood towards an area). If there is a functional problem with the way the body is operating - whether that be organs functioning too much or too little, no amount of B1 in isolation is going to resolve the issue - because the primary drivers within the brain that are influencing this behaviour have not been addressed. I would suggest having a look at my recent 3 hr video, that should be able to show you more about what I'm talking about in practice.

    • @ChrisGascoigne1
      @ChrisGascoigne1  Год назад +1

      Some of them may be easier to break down in the stomach than say tough meats Captain America America, but ultimately we should look to strengthen the mechanism of the stomach by supplying it with sufficient blood and nerve flow to be able to deal with a wider variety of foods. I'm looking to address this with a top-down approach, seen as 90% of the neuronal firing from the cortex (brain) travels down towards motor functions on the same side of the body, absence of that firing can sure lead to disrupted motility, digestive secretions and general break down of foods.
      I'm not saying what you've mentioned above wouldn't help, but I don't think it's enough alone to achieve substantial relief from gastroparesis.

    • @mike0133
      @mike0133 Год назад +2

      @Captaim America America the problem is not the gut microbiome or the quality of the foods you eat, the problem are the nerves or the muscles of gi Tracy that aren't working well. Avoid fiber when you have gastroparesis, they are hard to digest and unable to breakdown. The stomach will work more when you eat fiber and they will get stucked in small bowel because of low motility. Veggies and fruits are a big NO NO if you suffer of gastroparesis.

      @@mike0133it’s not a one size fits all problem unfortunately…..
      I’ve suffered with it for years and one of the best forms of control is exercise and in particular planks as it really stimulates and kick 🦵 starts the tummy muscles and vagus nerve which in turn aids in digestion. A lot of people suffer with this problem because they are heavily overweight or just completely inactive…….

    I suffer of gastroparesis and CIPO but luckily (for the moment) not in a severe form that makes me unable to eat. I had also a G-POEM surgery, basically endoscopic cut of the pilorus. Motility disorder are the worst GI disease, there are people unable to eat forever that live thanks intravenous total parental nutrition. Unluckily these disease are very poor studied because they are really really rare disorder so there isn't so much interest in a disease of few few people. What i can say is that there isn't a cure, some drugs can work in not severe cases like domperidone, metilcoplaramide, neostigmine, pyridostigmine, erythromycin even if his effect last after 3-4 week, prucalopride, cisapride (that seems to be the most powerful but was banned from the market of a lot of western country, because can cause hearth issues). For CIPO the most plausible cure is intestinal transplant but the percentage of rejection by the immunitary system is very high and the risk of infection also. At the moment, you can only pray God if you have one of this disease.
    P. S.: the most curable gastroparesis and motility disorder are if they are caused by diabetes, if you are rapid so at the first symptoms you try to stabilize your blood sugar and reverse diabetes with some kind of diet like keto or carnivore that is even better, you can cure it. But i repeat, only if it is caused by diabetes and if you are rapid to do it at the first symptoms when the disease is not so severe.

      Thanks for sharing this Mike, I agree Gastroparesis and motility disorders are absolutely debilitating - since I started suffering from them in 2016, my life changed forever and became a lot more restrictive.
      I personally don't believe that an intestinal transplant would work, as the current digestive system is struggling to contract and relax properly in a smooth motion - that to me is because of nerve and blood flow disruptions (and potentially bacterial imbalances). Because digestion is an automatic process that we don't have conscious control over, it's most likely linked to areas in the brain that do influence this (the cortex, hypothalamus, cerebellum, vestibular system).
      I've noticed that working on functional neurological exercises and gradually reconditioning myself via endurance exercise has helped more than anything I've tried in the past.

    • @mike0133
      @mike0133 Год назад +3

      @@ChrisGascoigne1 true, the disease should be studied in a "neurological way", that is the key. i can only wish you the best, when you suffer of motility disorder it's even hard to get a diagnosis and a palliative, let alone a cure... . I can only wish you the best.
