Filipina’s are generally so very loyal it can come across that way. Young province girls in general have little life experiences and when they meet a guy can become besotted with the whole aura revolving around the foreigner and everything they can potentially give them. If the Philippines were a first world country like Norway, US, UK, etc then young Filipina's would mostly be attracted to young PH guys. There's nothing wrong with that in my view, but we'd be delusional not to acknowledge it.

Bottom line is; Each of us have our very own personal journey in life, if that journey is one of positivity, then it will attract positive people...Meeting Filipinas of all sorts the moment you arrive in the PI is guaranteed regardless of what you look like & how tore up your life is as a foreigner. I've heard that Americans can't buy land there unless he is married to a filipina and it must be put in her name. Is this true ? What about if it is in the province? And is Ormoc City a good place to live ?
A nonFilipino cannot own land. He/she can own a condo or in some cases a townhouse since the land itself remains in the hands of the developer. For a condominium, you would own it for 50 years, then the developer regains the property, possibly to tear it down and build again. If a nonFilipino wants to own a farm or an actual house, it will not be purchasable. It can be rented though. Any actual land must be owned by a Filipino person, so a wife would be put on the title as the main owner. A westerner would be the secondary owner, such that if the wife passed away, the westerner will become the owner … for a short time. The westerner must then sell the land or the government will take it away.
The whole body thing is because most Asians and Filipino men have little body hair, but North Americans do. So here's hoping if one day I find a Filipina she likes a beard and some chest hair... ha ha.

Ridiculous conversation...SEA women would generally prefer to be with the perfect guy from their own culture, as in this case a Philippino man with a good job, but since that's in short supply, we westerners have free range as long as we can provide...and provide well. If that's the case, the women will accept just about anything...age, shape, looks behavior etc etc etc., everything else is a fantasy. Take a look around next time you're out and about in the Philippines, and you'll see what I mean. Beauty and the Beast everywhere. That's also why real love is in short supply, because most relationships are between a young Philippina lady who has compromised 100% and settled for some less than average dude only to provide for her and her family, and an older guy who's madly in love with her body and looks, something he never could even hope for back where he came from, like ever. I think the problem is that this is a question that doesn’t have an answer. I couldn’t possibly say what American guys, even in my own age group, want in a woman. A Filipina wants the foreigner's resources (as part of her hypergamy) but if he offers it to her it's considered to be "buying" her. She wants the foreigner to pretend that she is not interested in provisioning. The rejection is about her controlling the relationship including his resources and not him.

9:18 I saw an American pretend he got hit by a Filipino taxi driver in Bohol, and he yelled at him for 5 minutes threatening to get him fired. He had the driver begging him not to tell his boss. When the American guy was done, he told him to get the hell out of there and to watch what he's doing next time. The driver took off and his limp magically went away. I was looking at him shaking my head and told him he was an A HOLE
I think what Mia said is generally true for most filipinas' preferences. However, if a man has a sense of humor and some integrity (and money), I think it doesn't really matter if he is overweight, hairy, tattooed etc. Lucky for her Paul has the aforementioned positives without any of the negatives!

A Filipina wants the foreigner's resources (as part of her hypergamy) but if he offers it to her it's considered to be "buying" her. She wants the foreigner to pretend that she is not interested in provisioning. The rejection is about her controlling the relationship including his resources and not him.
