- We love Kuala Lumpur for a number of reasons, one of them is the incredible VALUE ! In this video we touch on the cost of basics in day to day life in KL. There are some great websites that do price comparisons but we thought it would be useful for us to share to real life example of value in KL.

There are cheaper grocery retailers; variety galore for families, it depends on location location location.

@stevecoughlan8167 NSK is a wholesale groceries stores. Think Costco (US). Everything in bulk. Mydin Mall too. Imported brands food or even clothes are expensive as Msia have high import tax. Local coffee like White Coffee is more Affordable or Borneo coffee beans. Kkennangan Coffee (Indonesia coffee chain) and Kopi 2 darjat(local small business).Cinema is cheaper either on Tues or Wed.
With the current dwindling economy and chaotic civil situation in UK, it's no brainer that Malaysia appears to be more favourable in many ways. However please be respectful when you are in another country.

Definitely, people are kind and it feels safe although I wish the pedestrian crossings were a bit more respected ….or it just us ?
In my opinion, kl is affordable luxury. Not cheapest but still value for money
Agree, I think of the major cities we have visited in Asia KL has the best combination of value and luxury 🎉
Starbucks is now ringgit 21 for a coffee. Ridiculous
We have started going to Zeus coffee, better value and the Oatmilk seems higher quality (we live an Oatmilk Latte)
