    I saw Pacino in the meat packing district in NYC in the late 90´s on set filming a scene for a movie called Chinese Coffee.It was 4 in the morning and I was there with a handful of spectators.After the filming wrapped up and Al had gone to his trailer to change clothes, he came up to everyone watching ,shaked hands with and thanked us all individually for being respectful and quiet for the filming.He really came across as a great and very warm person.And man what an actor.

    Such a fine actor. I remember when I first saw him in "The Godfather" in 1972, people left the movie saying "Who IS that guy?" I've never seen a single performance make such an impression. He is an American Treasure.

      @@muirton1444 a lot of Italian American actors don't have his intense dedication to acting. I can see Al Pacino portray General Joseph Stilwell, the commander of U. S. Army forces in the China/ Burma Theater during WWII. He would make a great "Vinegar Joe " Stilwell.

      That's interesting because I've never felt like that was a particularly electrifying performance. It was good but sort of reserved and "normal" for lack of a better word. Not the kind of thing I would have imagined people talking about. Of course I'm a little younger and wasn't around when it was new. Next time I watch it I'll keep that in mind.

    Al Pacino used to never do interviews. Nowadays, he does, and he is utterly charming and articulate and insightful. I can listen to him at great length. He did a documentary back in 2007 called, "Babbleonia", where it was just him, at the famed old Actors Studio building in NYC, just talking for two hours about his life and career. It was fascinating.

    Those piercing dark eyes of his. Love how he became such an eccentric, lovely old man as he got older. One of the greats and I think a lot of his talent comes from the fact that he started off in theater. Lucky to still have him with us and lucky that he, Deniro, Pesci and Scorsese gave us this gift of a film

    Al is so passionate about acting, he has a true love for the craft. As he's gotten older he's become much more comfortable talking in interviews, I really enjoy them. He did an incredible job as Serpico.

    Pacino is such a gracious man. When he won an award for his wonderful performance as Roy Cohn in Angels in America, he took a moment to recognize the two actors who essayed the same role: Ron Leibman and F. Murray Abraham. Now that is class! Bravo, Al Pacino for your art and your humility.

    Is it just me or does Al Pacino seem like a genuinely reasonable and respectful human being? If it’s not an act, he’s one of only a handful of ultra-famous people who are. Tom Hanks is another good one. Both of them seem to have a healthy amount of humility, and basic compassion for their fellow human.

      I've read a lot of different articles. And it's kind of a toss-up between all three on who people are saying stole the show, and that's a great thing to me. Then you got Harvey Keitel. Then Stephen Graham and Bobby Cannavale. It's unbelievable.

    I remember when I first saw The Godfather in 1972, I knew he'd be my favorite actor. I actually went to the show 7 times to see Al Pacino. Once I watched it twice in a row. The Godfather and Al Pacino would be my all time favorite.
