- You have a #1-yard of fabric leftover? Went crazy shopping at the #remnants bin? I got you! My yearly video on patterns you can use with one yard of fabric.
As always visit our website at www.massonlifes... for links on the where you can get the patterns and fabrics I talked about in this video.
Sew along for Butterick swim suit B4526 • How to Sew a Swim Suit... ** Notice how they make the seam allowance 3/8" (1cm) vs. keeping it as 5/8"(1.5cm). Genius!
Sew along for S9872 • My New Machine and S98... for the Zipper Cases I talked about in this video.

Hi Alex! This was a great video. I am a larger lady and require a little bit more than a yard of fabric, but I can still take advantage of some of the choices you used to share with us today! Have a blessed day, my friend.
Hoping it gives you a few ideas on some great patterns you can make.
Love the detailed info you provided. This Spring I’ve been making baby rompers for gifts, and to stretch my theme-based fabric to include a matching bib, started cutting patterns on a single piece of fabric versus on the fold. Amazed at how that can really stretch the fabric. I really like that first t-shirt pattern you mentioned-love a back seam since it helps with my fitting issues. Thanks again for presenting this topic.
Thank you for this. More like this please I loved it xxxx
Fantastic suggestions Alex!!! I always have pieces of fabric leftover so this is helpful
My favorite kind of video! Thanks so much!
Love your videos.
I make hinge frame victorian purses using a coffee can for making the pattern. If you use velvet upholstery fabric they turn out very pretty. Also camisoles can be made with only a yard. And ribbon or lace can really jazz them up or extend your fabric.
I agree with the velvet upholstery. I usually don't care for the makeup cases I see in stores and the three I made with the dark blue velvet upholstery fabric are my favorite. I have enough room, they feel luxurious and I made them!!! Adding ribbon and lace... that is another great idea!
Great video Vogue has the best remnants 😁
Their remnants area is so big it’s almost overwhelming!!!!!
great ideas!
Great suggestions! More blouses please!😊
Blouses are a tough one with one yard of fabric when we throw in the sleeves but I promise to keep looking.
Sorry - I didn’t explain myself! I meant to ask for your thoughts on blouses generally - any amount of fabric! I absolutely love the Franklin pattern! Can’t wait to try it! Thank you!
@@moira7083 please do!!!!!! The finishes on it really elevate the look.
Can you link the video tutorials you mentioned? Thanks loved the first video in the series this one is just as good.
Thanks for the reminder to do this. I just listed them both. Let me know if I'm missing any.
Love your videos 👍. What is the name of that French website where you got the free pattern for a vest ?
Maison Fauvre
