We are working for J&G Security guarding a frac gate in West Texas. Come along as we share our first week with you. We are NEWBIES and are figuring this out as we go. We will be putting out a series of videos of our adventure in gate guarding.

No one talks about the smell of petroleum! Is it constant? On average how many hours a day does it smell like oil?

At one of our sites we had bulls and donkeys! The donkeys were awesome! The loved carrots and apples!!!
Oh, I would love that! I have a thing for donkeys - it would be fun! Are you still gate guarding? We had a 4 week job and then plan to come back in the fall to work again. We have to head to Washington for doctor's appointments so were unable to take another job right now. We really enjoyed our gate and the great people we met!

This was such a great video on gate guarding! Not only did you tell about the job, but you really showed what it was like to be there in that wide open Texas countryside. We have watched several gate guarding videos, and this one ranks up there with the best! Well Done! We would love to know the typical day as a gate guard. How did you two decide on the shifts? How much time do you actually get to spend awake together? How many meals do you eat together? Things like that. :)

We are considering gate guarding. Is it worth it or to isolating.
Do you find it hard to get gigs with the dog on board?
There were some that would not allow dogs, but there are plenty that do. Our ranch owner does not like dogs, so we just had to make sure that we kept him on a leash and did not let him roam.
