I'd love to hook up with you. IAA southeast. Territory manager for them.
Love this series and watched from the start but it is not fully realistic for the man on the street. I am not saying it can't be done but you were selling a lot of these cars from your dealership.
Craig… I would invest the money into buying a dozen or more budget cars for tax season. I don’t know about everyone else but I enjoy the quick clean up and repair videos on budget cars more than the exotics. To me it is more interesting to watch you make 30-40-50% on previously neglected car flips. The break downs at the end are interesting. I will be here to watch and learn no matter which route you choose.
100% agree with this comment...I would LOVE to see how much profit you can turn that $86k of seed money into by flipping 10-20 reasonably priced tax season cash type cars. Likely the much faster way to say the Lambo SUV or whatever else you have in mind.
THIS
Exactly, if someone wants to watch an "exotic car channel" they would go to DDE or stradman etc. I get that he needed the click bait of $400 Ferrari for that entire video series but let's be real, this is a used budget car channel
I like the start low again idea.
Can't wait for the flipping $400 to Urus challenge
I don't think anyone will follow 10 years of flipping junk
Within a few years, the Urus will be seen as a gussied-up Q7, with the same value retention (if not worse), so it should take a lot less than 10 years.@@vadim7590
@@vadim7590😂
🤣@@vadim7590
At this rate it might be flipping a Ferrari into 400 dollars 😂
You didn't lose as much money as you think. You had the car for months, that must be worth something.
I don't think he drove\enjoyed it much.
It cost him more in Advil
And you drive it and made revenue from RUclips.
Zero depreciation in two years , I think he made money.
if you don't take inflation into consideration...@@davidgane5786
My father was in the car business his whole life and always said he could make more money on a lot full of 2-5 thousand dollar cars, and he proved it always, Love your channel!!
Yeah but then he is a beater flipper. I only sell German and euro luxury
@@startingtech3900And? No one cares. Getting the money is what matters. Insecure people care what other people think.
Craig, free ranger here. Invest in land/campground. Or, invest in land/storage unit facilities as a side business to bring in an income Not just from a car dealership. Campgrounds in the right area, can be inexpensive to operate, as well as storage units, and profitable over time. It's about the right area with both businesses.
Extra income potential, for the price of the Ferrari/$86,000.. with storage units or a camp ground you have potential to earn off many spaces for rent. Think of each camping spot, or unit as a car, each one space bring X amount per week/month, and you can sell each space over and over and over, but still keeping each space, as like selling a car for a small amount, but keeping it and doing it over and over in the camping and storage unit businesses. Each space is like a car, they sale that space over and over and over for years, yet still keeping everything they are selling/renting. Just my 2¢
Most the lost was just with timing. You bought at the top of the bubble and sold 9 months later in a softening market. Pre covid you would have made money on this deal and the 360 would have only cost you 65k to 70k
Do not believe a word he says. He did not lose a dime on this car. He made thousands of dollars from RUclips and TikTok every month from his videos. You just can’t trust any car dealer to tell the truth, especially Craig.
He did say that the RUclips and tiktok videos paid for the car alone but he was looking at it from a business perspective
@@seanmcardle8196 by my definition, I believe he is another unscrupulous businessman, who puts money above God, family and country, every day. All he lives for is money and instant gratification. All you have to do is listen to him, and watch what he does to people he sells cars too. And whenever there’s a problem, it’s never his fault, it’s always the lying customer and I don’t believe he ever owned up to the real reason that Germann quit working for him. I recall the video that he put out about Germann’s departure, and in my opinion, Craig gave a performance worthy of an Oscar and an Emmy. But it was all for the camera, and all for the clicks, and all for the views, because everything he does is calculated to get him money. And sadly, I believe he has no charity in his heart, and never will.
@@seanmcardle8196 In my opinion the only things Craig cares about are money and himself. Nothing else matters to him. No matter how much money he accumulates it will never be enough because he always needs more. And the word charity isn’t even in his vocabulary because he only cares about himself.
@@johnthomas-zx9di what about the mobility van he gave away to that family.
And so what if he only cares about money he's running a business not a charity be set out to make money.
If you're boss or costumers said to you I'm the morning they wanted to play you more money for your work or product you supply I doubt you'd say no
Prices are down get yourself a Ferrari 458 spider!! My son and I are almost done rebuilding ours. Such a fun car to bring back to life and wow so much fun to drive. Truly harder to do the youtube videos than working on the car !!
Keep rolling bro & keep the good spirit….. Big fan from Saudi Arabia
The song of an old school Chevy big block sounds so much better...! Those Italian/ European engines sound sick, not good at all...!!! Thanks for sharing... Keep up your awesomeness...
Ohhh Craig you didn’t lose money on that Ferrari! Tell the viewers how much money you made on the Ferrari series from YOU TUBE!
I don’t think you understand the point of the challenge, take RUclips out of the equation and pretend there was no camera
@@keeganduque8983pretend you also don't have a garage with your own mechanic or other expenses.
You put cheap ass tires on it. Probably some linlongs
@@keeganduque8983Craig can't do that he's a pompous..
He did tell us in this video. He said he made enough to pay for the Ferrari. That would mean 80,000 - 100.000.
I would roll the $86k and work your way up to a Lambo Urus or its equivalent, a Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT.
Urus is boring. Stupid fast, sure. But not particularly attractive and except for the Lambo name, not particularly exciting.
Thanks for letting us follow along on your journey
HOW COME CAN YOU TAKE A LOSS ON A $400 FERRARI…🤯😂🤣
bc it tied up $100k for 7 months
Here’s a crazy idea. Maybe watch the video and he’ll explain it?? 🤔
Car dealer math
Walmart made 10000000 off a bag of ramen. True Story.
You sell it for 400 less than it's worth.
Congrats on the first series. Love the transparency and owning the goof ups. I like the auctions and seeing you deal with the various and PITA customers you’ve had. That said rolling that money into even more exotic machines would be cool.
I think you should keep the series going. I’m sure you gained a lot of subscribers from this series and will probably gain a ton more if you keep the journey going. I subbed because of this series when it first started.
Very entertaining and educational. Thanks for all you do and may God bless you.
I'd think you should do both options!! We love the flipping of inexpensive cars, the every day things and the magic Flying Wheels has.
But it's also noticeable you want to go for the Urus. So, why not both?
I loved the series however after it got higher than about $30K it seems like things seriously slow down, the bentley probably didn't help that. I would love to see a $500 to $100K series where the goal is just to get to $100K as fast as possible. What price point that is, and maybe what cars can turn around super fast.
It seems like the Jeeps were good profit in the Ferrari series but I remember one sitting on the lot for a while.
I always buy high and sell low
Great series, thank you! Lot of lessons learned.
Great video series!
Was fun to watch!
I like the old school camera where you are holding camera.
Was enjoying the video. Was motivated by reaching a goal. Was enjoying the beauty and listened to the start up.
Then you shoved food in my face.....
I bought a new 2019 Mercedes E-class convertible in June of 2020. Wow what a bargain I got. All wheel drive, loaded and wonderful car. Love the way it drives, the scarf heater and all fun features. Not my first Mercedes. Just take a look at this model.
Craig. Looking for an all wheel drive with 600 horsepower. Look at an S63 Mercedes 2019. Comfort, speed, room for the family and the wife would love the car. You could also get it tuned to about 800 hp. You will not want to sell that car!
See it as an investment towards your RUclips career. So no loss at all.
Now take the next step and start a flip 10.000 into a house video series. Oh and please stop the negative video titles and content. I get that you share it, but let the rest of the video be positive. People like to watch that more. Thanks for the videos Craig, can’t wait what’s next.😊
The "High line" sale in West Palm Beach. That type of auction is a fun one. I've watched, but never played.
I’ve got an idea for a format (one I’d watch the progression of, and it might even result in my buying a vehicle from you).
Craig, with your talent, insight, resources, subscriber-base, and love for cool, compelling, and relatable vehicles, if I were in your spot, I’d start searching out those everyday vehicles that have hidden potential (part of the fun is the hunt), find ones that are in just the right condition for you to work your magic (really good condition, but not perfect, but a good buy), ship it back to your shop and make solid repairs/modifications to it to bring it to another level and make it something fresh, unique, compelling, and desirable (having us watch all that you did and see the level of work, investment, and quality would be a cool thing), and then sell it nation-wide as a “Flying Wheels Special-Edition”, as something unique and special… a cool quality vehicle that is a part of your brand (and expands the visibility and reach of your brand).
What I mean by “vehicles with hidden potential” is like what the YT channel “Cool Guy Club” did to a 3rd-gen Rav4 (search “2011 Toyota Rav4 Mini Overlander Build”). He found the right one (the Sport model with the big V6 and all-wheel-drive), added a clean-and-easy lift, proper-fitting sweet-looking wheels/tires, new modern headlights, and his end result left me saying, “oooh… I kind of want one of those now!”. It’s now a cool-looking economic little decent soft-roader (I’d change out to better front seats, and then I’d really want one). It went from being a ubiquitous reliable daily to having novel character and being strangely desirable. If you built one of those, and I was able to see all that went into it, and you sold it for a bit of a premium, I (and I’m sure others would, too) would buy it sight-unseen and have it shipped to where I am (with confidence). If you created a pattern of doing something like that, you’d be ‘the everyday-guys’ version of Chip Foose. 😉
If I were in your position, I’d start with Rav4’s (focusing mostly on 3rd gens, and I’d brand them ‘STOMPERS’ by Flying Wheels (an ode to the 1980’s 4x4 toys)… for those Rav4’s are turning out to be kind of a hidden gem when it comes to readily moddable soft-roaders. (but don’t skimp on the anemic 4cylinder models… search out the desirable ones to ‘enhance’)
I’d then move to something like a 3rd gen Lexus LS’s. You have a company in your area that made custom wheels for your Corvette. Why not have them design/make uniquely custom wheels (giving them some branding visibility on the vehicle) and you can do some creative basic mods to make the LS stand out? Do it in a modern, clean, and executive-level execution (not wild and cheesy)… it’ll sell for a premium.
I’d focus on 2000-2013 model vehicles… older, but not old. Simpler to work on, but still with enough advancement (or readily upgradable (thinking screens/nav/CarPlay)). I’m thinking not too much investment, but impressive end result, and not too high of a price to resell at (yet at a premium for a decent profit for yourself, and be transparent about it… I’d readily give you the profit for a quality product. 100%).
Part of the freshness of this format would be not only the truly quality desirable end product, but also fresh would be your honest transparency about the background, process, and $$$… and it would be elevating genuinely cool, distinct, and desirable (yet super-reliable daily driver) vehicles to your audience. I (like many others) are so sick of the garbage-hype and gaslighting in today’s world. Some genuine honesty, quality, and transparency would leave me (and others) readily wanting to ensure you made a good profit from your efforts. That would be refreshing as hell!
Okay, now I want a well-sorted Flying Wheels STOMPER… in black, please. I’ll be your first customer!
(PS, please only go after an exotic vehicle if you see it’s a deal you can turn… those are a bit unrelatable for regular pursuit (I have one, and sometimes it’s more of a pain than an asset))
Def keep the ball rolling from here - take the 86k and keep going - can’t wait to see what you get next !!!
My dad was a car dealer. Everything you said is exactly everything I ever learned. Why not shows how to buy an affordable Porsche that won't break our bank
Great series! I learn so much from all your videos. I'd love to start a business like your brother, but I am nowhere near as talented in repairs as you guys are. Maybe I can start real slow, but I'm not getting any younger.
Love these vids, they're just so down to🌍. Very different to others...
I’ve learned and I keep learning from your videos thank a lot.
Keep up the good work .
I must say, it looks beautiful. If you get an FF< make if it has the lift system is not leaking, that is a major issue on the FF, not all FF have the lift system and it is an expensive fix, about 10 to 12 K. They also have transmission issues.
Keep going up probably not as profitable but great content. Can’t wait to see what’s up with vette love those cars. Most fun car to drive there is that car will do it all drag, drift, road race, parking lot and on and on. Stay Safe, great channel !!
Chin up. You invested $400 and compounded it into a pretty significant sum regardless of how you think the last sale went. Pretty good ROI if you ask me and we saw some great content. Two thumbs up!
The FF. Keep upgrading the Rari. Keep getting better and better ones
This entire series has been like watching a tv-show for me it was so much fun. I would love to see a continuation of it in a different title where you aim for the Urus with the ferrari money and I bet when you get there it won’t be as disappointing as the ferrari
I say keep rolling it will take too long to start over. Great work on the videos
At one point in time i actually enjoyed watching this channel but all he does is cry now throughout the entire video of every single video
Start with the 86k and work your way to a NEW custom ordered Urus. I don't know if I have the patience to start all the way back over. It was a cool journey learning as you went. Now let's see it being spent on more high end cars... or like two cars at a time and build up enough for the Urus and then we can go for the Bentayga once you get the Urus checked off.
Keep rolling and get the urus!!!💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
My 2004 40th annivasery 911 blew up at 88k miles a $104K car i purchased used from Porche of Monmouth for 23K LOL at least Ferrai makes robust engines. Definatly buy cool cars and fix em up and make a profit...
Hey brother, I'm really glad you did the series. I don't know if he would do it, but have you talked to Ed Bolan from VinWiki? Might be able to make a mini series with him flipping higher end stuff even if it's just a few facetime calls. It would probably help both of your channels, and maybe he would just dig the concept. Ed seems to have the contacts to make it happen easier and quicker.
Great Video Craig.
Let’s go for the urus, beautiful car.
I really appreciate you sharing this series with everyone I know it’s a labor of love for you but I always enjoy your videos.
Keep it rolling !!
As an avid watcher but rarely post guy - get your Uruis by buying cheap and selling high. Maybe start 10k. Love the content
Craig is a brave man to admit he took a loss. He is too honest to know when to tell a lie.
With a cooling car market, it would be fun to see how you can turn $86k into a Lamborghini Urus. It’s a whole different ball game flipping $50k+ vs $5000 cars. Keep em coming Craig!
I’m here with you
Las Vegas Craig
You did well , no big deal. I enjoyed the videos on the car. 👍👍👍
How about flipping $400 into building a dream car? A mod flip? LS or coyote engine? Transmission-6 speed. Current technology into a old vette or mustang body. All like you would want in an ultimate sports car. Luxury and power coming together. That would be interesting. Get your dad shd and brothers input.
Craig. God in bro. I’ve seen your channel grow the last four years. Nice
Service records for old ferrari almost like log books for an old plane. Worth FAR, far less without. Beautiful car!
Any thought about restoring a mach 1 or 68, 69 camaro. You tuber Dennis Collins gets into jeep restorations. Maybe corvettes, vipers? Main thing is just enjoy what you do. Go back to Florida with Dad and brother just to look over car auctions but enjoy their company. Anyway great videos and just have a good time doing what you like.
I think you should start over. It's fun to watch the early struggles
I thought you lost money on the Skyline? Glad you sold it. Looking forward to the Urus challenge.
I would keep using that money for bigger and better cards. I would like to see you get a Ford GT.
Hi Craig, personally I think you should roll the money into your next goal. Whether that is twenty $4k cars or two $40k cars, it would be interesting to see your decision process. Good luck, and thanks for sharing. Richard in Canada
Use the money towards bigger and better cars! Love your channel! 🚘
Go for the Urus! Keep going, don't start over. You're almost there!
Cool video showing you don't always hit a home run ,
Would be more interested in budget cars than an exotic journey.
Here is an idea on what you can do with that $86K. Make it a big part or all of a down payment on a Lake House up on the big Lake. Guarantee you will make money when you decide to sell it. Have fun with it while you own it. All this with NO STRESS!! You could even make a series on buying and selling to help pay for it.
My suggestion is stay away from the Florida auctions...yes , they have more exotic cars...but they demand way more money in that area!! I 'd find any auction in mid America where the prices are more in line with what they are worth. You might not find your "end car" but find something you can turn and sell.
Go further with the 86.000 but but still buy a lot of cheap cars. Mass production.
I would love to see that.
The country is going through some crazy times and right now it seems like the kind of cars you sell just aren't doing good at the auctions right now and would probably be better to sell online or at your dealership.
Tires on my Buick costs more than Ferrari tires?
Not perrilis or Michelin
Good finale!! Onto the next things….
Just remember Craig, you are not a Ferrari guy, not a Lambo guy so just get a souped up Cadillac Escalade and use that for the family 😎
I appreciate your honest breakdown. It sucks to lose money, but now you can make money.
Keep it rolling, starting over would take a long time to get back. A Lamborghini or eventually a nice mclaren would be sweet!
A lot has changed in 2 years, I'd like to see what cars in 2024 u can start with for the new series, and you can still show the normal auction days like you used to and get cars for the dealership.
WOW. I started to watch flying wheels a long time ago, but got really hooked bcz of the $400 flip series. What a journey, it was awesome. I'm glad to see it come thru.
Lamborghini Urus is my favorite suv. 🤩Would watch another series of flipping for it.
Do some more panther platform cars! Those are silly cheap, and great fun!
Knew it before you said it, uou have a small market for selling this type of car and I'm sure the buyer knew it too.
Next, maybe do more on detailing and such. I love doing this as a hobby and want to learn from you
Keep rolling into a Lambo. I would love to continue seeing the $400 flip videos. Great job on the flipping videos Craig.
Keep the vids coming!
Thank you for sharing with us your experience but also your expertise as a business owner and also as a person who has gotten and sold and done these things and you understand how hey guess what when I have somebody go outside and shine those tires or whatever else that cost me money or if it's not running because I'm not using it that cost me money people don't understand that if you take your own person and you go and you make a portable player right okay so if it costs you $6,000 because that's what it cost you to make one and you can walk into Walmart and buy one for like $500 are you winning or losing by making that $6,000 player you're losing every single time
Deff the Ferrari FF! 👍 Everything else you named EVERY car RUclipsr already does!
Definitely start over with a smaller budget. With the $86k, you aren’t that far off and overall, would get less content. With starting over, you’ll have more content AND imagine the work that can be done with both Dave & Devin!
Start at $1000 and get to a Lambo, I loved this series just proving anything is possible!!
Keep the good times rolling up!
Craig, you are learning that quick youtuber segue to a commercial.
I would love to see Craig take the 86k and bet 86 1k cars to compare results
Good idea, could at least double if not triple the gross cash but hebwould probably have to hire help to pull it off. 86 is a lot.
I´d suggest to go for the Urus, keep flipping to buy it, but it seems that too expensive cars dont make decent amount of cash and take too long to flip
great stuff thanks
Let’s just roll to bigger and better things 🇺🇸
Roll the series over into "Flipping 400$ into an Urus". Also please drive an Urus first to make sure it is really hat you want as an end goal. Then buy profitable cars as these will get you to the end goal faster than 2 1/2 years :D.
Honestly, what I enjoy most is seeing you buy at auction and flip regular cars, fix them and selling for a profit. It's a journey most of us do enjoy.
So $86k in income tax bill to pay
No, he puts it through the business. Write offs, and only pays income if he\ when he shows a profit.
@@joshpinchuk7061 He considered no expenses when he conducted the flipping. So what consider it during taxes due🤣
That’s not how it works. He will literally get tax write off because he lost money on the car. He will be able to offset income from a different car. Sure, taxes for the income earned will come due at some point, but not on the sale of the car like you are implying.
Craig you should keep the $400 series going and pull back that loss. Good luck bro 😅🇨🇮
Awesome series
Start from 400 again
Keep rolling it into better and better cars
Craig. So many super cars so little time. McLaren, Bugatti, Porsche oh my. Onward and upward sir.
You should get another Aston like the one that you should have kept.
I think you should start over, but either way I'll watch and enjoy every minute.
From $400, which you definitely didn't lose, PLUS the revenue from RUclips, it did well. And you reached your goal.
I would like to see you start with $400 and work up from there,I enjoyed watching the last series and would enjoy watching you do it again.
It's nice to see that the value comes from the enjoyment while you owned it, that far exceeds the financial loss.
