Hey, im currently trying to do this with my map layout, ive made the nurb curve, plane and everything up to 1:36... When i do the modifiers, it will not follow the curve at all, it just ends up doing a straight line forever
@@MatthewTreppel hey bud that’s normal have you set the cursor to your nurbs curve? If you have snap the road to your cursor and it should be following the curve as intended!
Thanks for this. Unfortunately, I get stuck at 2:16 where you do the "unwrap" When I hit "U" after selecting all "A" I get multiple choices for unwrap. I followed your guide to the letter up to that point.
Good video , very quick tho . Could you do it again with importing terrain and go through it a bit slower Thanks. What version of blender are you using?
Just place the original curve and change the points over your exported terrain from giants editor. Or if you have a Google earth image to follow just mark out the roads using the curve! Let me know if this helps

@@RhodTehModonly other thing I can think of, is whenever you figure out intersections for the roads, I’d imagine it would be the same

@@farmerrabbit it’s the “unwrap” should be the top one I get many options too.
You can do “U” then “U” straight after and should do the same!

If i import a Google Map picture in blender. How do i get the size right so the road fit the map in giants editor?
@@emilholm2317 generally roads are 7.2 m wide and 3.6 for single lane roads refer to my road video

Do you still have to paint under the road with asphalt or concrete to stop the ground deformation?
You don’t no. This as far as I’m aware is set up by your farmlands through areas you can’t buy which make the area inaccessible
@@RhodTehMod have all roads on non buyable land and still get ground deformation .Painting under road with tarmac seems to fix it
